I found myself lying in a dark alley.
I looked down at my wounded hands as my rage slowly started to fade away.
I covered my face with my hands and started crying.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! WHY... WHY DID I FEEL SUCH AN URGE TO?! WHY?! WHY?!" I screamed in terror.
"Yokubo... calm down..." Taida suddenly appeared before me.
I moved my hands away from my face, looking at him with frustration.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!"
"You cannot cry, not right now... just look around..." He said with worry, contrasting his usual sarcastic tone.
I looked around, my eyes widening.
"The sky is red... and this place looks like some medieval slums..." I looked down at the ground in terror.
"We are in The Underworld, Yokubo... and we need to find a way out as fast as possible... or else-..." Suddenly a growling sound echoed throughout the alley.
I looked to my right and saw a demon. Its body was covered in mutated flesh, its horns were small...
"Heretic..." I said in terror as I backed away.
The demon licked its lips as it was getting closer and closer. "OH! Another meal to consume hihi..." It was said in a chaotic way that was full of excitement.
"No way... are my eyes DECEIVING ME?! IS THAT A HUMAN OVER THERE STANDING BEFORE ME?!" The demon's saliva started to leak out from its mouth, dripping onto the ground.
"Fuck... that's disgusting..." I took another step back.
"What the fuck are you?! No... forget it... just don't get any fucking closer!" I said in terror.
"Why would I do that?! Hahahaha! I've never tasted a human before! You look so tasty! I want to eat you! I want your power! I want everything!" It started to get closer even faster.
"Ka Hilo!" A Revolver appeared in my hand and I pointed it at the creature.
The demon's eyes widened as it took a step back. "H-Hilo?" The demon roared in terror.
Without even a second of hesitance, I pulled the trigger, shooting a Hilo bullet right through the demon's forehead, killing it instantly.
I fell to the ground, breathing heavily out of exhaustion as I waited for the purification process to begin... but nothing happened.
"Sebas told us that only the Heretics who didn't deserve to end up like that could be purified... that means..." I looked at the corpse as I ripped my sleeve off, carefully wrapping it around my wounded hands.
"That this demon was a scum who deserved to die~!" Taida giggled softly.
My vision slowly started blurring out.
"H-huh..?" I looked at Taida.
"Oh, it seems you've overused your Vymir... ehh... too bad... see you later... if you'll even survive being unconscious in a place like that~!"
And just like that, I fell asleep.
"Sho~! Sho~! Come on! We are almost there~!" The dark silhouette pulled his hand as we were walking through the forest.
"Can you... at least... let me rest... for a minute... I'm exhausted!" The young me panted.
"Sho~! Look! Look!" The Silhouette pointed at a tree with a large unnatural claw mark.
"What's that?" He asked.
"I don't know! But it's hugee~! I wonder what kind of animal can do something like that~!" The Silhouette said with excitement, softly tracing over the mark.
I grabbed the Silhouette's hand and pulled it away from the mark. "Hey! Don't touch that... it might be poisoned or something..." He said.
The Silhouette smirked and giggled cutely, hugging him tightly. "You're so sweet, Sho~... the only one who cares about my safety, even tho I'm a demon... meaning nothing in this world can hurt me... You really love me, don't youuuu~?" The Silhouette teased and kissed his cheek softly, making him blush.
"No...! I... ugh! You're stupid!" He pouted, but deep down he couldn't deny it.
The Silhouette broke the hug and grabbed his hand tightly, forcing him to follow her.
It walked in a very elegant way, every step it took was on another level of nobility.
After a moment they finally reached a beautiful waterfall, a small lake under it.
"Woah... I never thought that there would be such a nice place in those woods..." He said with amazement in his eyes.
The two sat down by the lake, the Silhouette was smiling, tho it seemed that there was something behind that smile.
"Heyy, Shoo~?" The Silhouette asked softly, looking into his eyes over its shoulder.
"What?" He asked, barely keeping up with the pace.
"You know that you're my first and only friend, right~?" It smiled softly.
"Uhm... yes... you've mentioned it a couple of times already... Why mention it again?" He asked curiously.
The Silhouette took both of his hands and got on top of him.
"###?! What are you doing?!" He asked in surprise.
The Silhouette started crying. "I love you! I really love you! But... we can't... we can't be together... I'm putting you in danger... I don't want you to die because of me... or by my hands... those urges I'm feeling are getting stronger each day... I can't help but lose to them more and more... yes... you've helped me... I'm sure that I'd never be so happy if I didn't meet you that day... you gave me a reason to live... you gave me a person to love... I love you... that's why... that's why we cannot be together... I don't want to hurt you..."
"What are you talking about?!" He asked again, trying to move, but she kept all of his limbs pinned down.
"We can't be together... not right now... but... I want you to promise something to me... promise something that you won't ever forget..." The Silhouette pleaded with him.
"What a-..." The Silhouette cut him off.
"You might forget me... you might forget what we've experienced together... you might forget all those places we've seen together... you might forget what my hugs feel like... you might forget anything about me... but I want you to remember one thing... I want you to remember the feelings that we share... I want you to remember... something that's ours and only ours... the love we are sharing... and then... when we are older and more mature... let's both study at Shizuhara Academy... and love each other again..." The Silhouette's tears started to roll down its cheeks as it smiled softly.
"I..."
"Promise... please... promise..." The Silhouette begged and begged as if its life depended on it.
"...I promise..." He said with tears in his eyes.
"I'm glad~" The Silhouette smiled softly and then kissed him on the lips.
I slowly opened my eyes, feeling something soft underneath my head.
I turned my head to the side, meeting the sight of black panties. "Oh... what a nice view after so much shit that had happened today..." I said with happiness.
"H-Hey... don't look... I didn't allow you t-to!" I heard a cute voice right above my head.
I slowly got my head off those thick thighs and I looked at her as I sat up on the bench we were on.
"What a cute girl... Blonde hair, yellow eyes, wearing a blue-white frilly dress..."
"You finally woke up! I was worried for a moment!" She pouted.
I looked down at my stomach, it was bandaged, just like my hands.
"Who are you?" I asked, confused.
"My name is uhh...Vicia... and you're lucky that I was passing by and found you!" She nodded a couple of times.
I looked around, we were in some kind of park. There were many plants and trees that I had never seen before, it was amazing.
"You were just passing by, huh? I was in some dark alley... in a literal demon slums... wait a second... you've seen it, didn't you...?" I asked in terror.
"Yes, I've seen the corpse of that Heretic lying there... you've managed to kill it, tho you were badly injured so I bandaged your wounds and carried you here..." She pushed her chest out pridefully.
I looked at her breasts. "Nice boobs... what cup size are you rocking?" I asked curiously.
She blushed in embarrassment. "What?! Why... how... how can you ask a girl you just met something like that?!" She then looked down at the ground.
"But... if you really need to know... E's..." She smiled softly.
"Damn! Have you considered paizuri~?" I smirked.
She blushed furiously. "Don't say things like that!!!"
After a moment she calmed down and looked into my eyes. "How did you end up in The Underworld, Shoji? After all... a human should never be here, not to mention that it's very late..." She said softly.
"How do you know my name? I don't think that I have introduced myself to you?" I asked with suspicion.
She blushed again. "Oh... uhh... I'm a student at Shizuhara Academy... it's hard not to know who you are... after all... your reputation is quite bad, I'd say~" She giggled softly.
"Oh yeah, that explains a lot, I guess!" I laughed.
"Soo... mind answering my question?" She asked.
"Oh uhh... it's kinda weird, but I have a friend, and I totally forgot that she had her Frenzy... and we had a misunderstanding which ended up with a fight and she used the gate device to teleport me here..." I smiled awkwardly.
"Oh... that's kinda bad, you know, you know?" She huffed.
"I can walk you to one of the checkpoints, so you can explain your situation to the Gate Patrol and I'm sure they'll let you go... tho your friend might end up in a lot of trouble if you take that route..." She smiled.
"Is there any other way?" I asked.
"Ohh... uhh... I-I guess there is... tho it's very dangerous... a-and you might even end up dying..." She said with worry.
"And what is it?" I looked into her eyes curiously.
"There's an old, illegal, and unstable gate near the mansion that belongs to The Patron Of Sloth~" She smirked.
"'The Patron Of Sloth'...? What does it even mean, huh?" I asked.
She moved a little bit closer, her knee brushing against mine.
"You don't know what a Patron is~? You're sooo lost~!" She giggled softly.
"Maybe explain instead of laughing at me? I'm not a demon so how could I know anyways, you stupid girl?!" I asked with frustration.
She blushed. "Hmph... why are you always so mean to me..."
"Anyways"
"There are seven demons which are The Patrons Of Hell, each demon representing their respective sin." She said softly.
"I get that... so who is the so-called 'Patron Of Sloth'?" I asked curiously.
"Our principal, one of the Three Leaders, Muraoka Tetsuya-sama!" She said with a lot of respect.
"Surprised?" She asked with a small smile on her face.
I gave her a smug smile. "Nope, at this point nothing about that old man can surprise me."
"So, mind leading the way towards that illegal gate or whatever it was?" I asked.
"H-Huh?! N-no... why would you want to..." I cut her off.
"I don't want to trouble my friend, that's why." I rolled my eyes.
She grabbed my shoulders and shook me lightly. "Y-You want t-to die?! It's too dangerous! Do you have no fear of death, or what, Shoji-kun?!" She asked with worry and frustration.
Taida appeared in front of us. "You should listen to her if you want to go back home sagely." He said.
"Fuck you!"
I looked at her and smirked awkwardly. "Don't get me wrong, Vicia. I fear death, more than anyone... but I don't know how many laws sending a human to The Underworld like that breaks... that means that Lilith's punishment might be very severe, and it's the last thing I want my friend to experience... that's why I'm taking the second route!" I said.
She cupped my cheeks softly, pouting like a child. "Stupid... you're really stupid... you idiot..."
I smirked. "Heard that too many times to give a fuck~"
She sighed and rolled her eyes. "You're too kind to the ones you love... too damn kind, Shoji-kun..."
I stood up from the bench, looking at the dark crimson sky. "I wish I could say that... I loved one of my friends, but I lost her before I realized it..." I smiled softly.
She stood up and patted my back. "Don't worry! I'm sure that your friend will forgive you... after all... true love never dies..." She smiled softly.
"Anyways, lead the way Vicia!" I patted her back, encouraging her.
She then looked down at the smartwatch she had on her wrist.
"No way~ You're so silly!" I laughed, wrapping my arm around her neck.
Her cheeks blushed slightly. "W-What... do you mean? I'm not silly!" She pouted while unlocking the smartwatch with a five-letter password.
"She really is bad at pretending isn't she~?" Taida said as he started laughing.
Suddenly my stomach growled.
Vicia looked at me with a sly smile. "Are you hungry, Shoji-kun? Mhm... why am I even asking... your stomach is growling like you haven't eaten anything in a century~!" She nodded to herself.
I scratched my chin. "Now that I think about it, I haven't eaten anything for like... uhh... ten hours!" I said, rubbing my stomach.
She looked me up and down. "Then... how about we dress you up like a Noble Demon does and then eat something at a restaurant not so far away~?" She smiled kindly.
"Ugh, I'm not sure if that's a good idea, what if someone will recognize me as a human? After all, I don't have horns nor tail and wings!" I rolled my eyes with uncertainty.
She grabbed my hand tightly and smiled widely. "Then you will shoot your Hilo Bullets from that revolver of yours~! As simple as that haha~!" She laughed softly.
I smiled smugly. "And how could you tell that I can use Light Magic, huh?" I pinched her cheek softly with my free hand.
She blushed furiously. "Eek! Don't pinch my poor cheeks! Owie! Ow!" She pouted.
I poked her forehead softly. "You're very, very bad at pretending someone else, you know that~?" I smirked.
"Hmph... I-I don't know what you are talking about!" She pouted, shaking her head.
She gripped my hand tighter and started dragging me down the sidewalk. "L-Let's just go, o-okay~?" She smiled softly.
As we walked down the sidewalk I stared at her back with curiosity. "I can't shake off the feeling that I've seen this version of her somewhere..."
She looked at me over her shoulder, a dark blush on her face. "Can you... s-stop staring at my butt, S-...Shoji-kun?" She asked shyly.
"I wasn't staring at your ass, Vicia!" I looked at her butt. "But now that I look at it, it seems to be fine as fuck... mind giving me a feel~?" I smirked.
Her blush spread across her face further, reaching her ears. "N-No...! No! No... not now! No!" She shook her head in embarrassment.
I started laughing.
"Oh, God!" I wiped my tears. "You're so funny, why do you always have to be so mentally retarded~? I was just playing with you~!"
She gripped my hand so tightly that she almost broke my bones.
"Aww... shit... her grip is strong! I mean she constantly held my hand..."
"Hmph!" Her face was red like a tomato.
"You're so mean! Why do you have to be so mean to me, huh?! I'm doing my best to help you and have fun, but you're calling me a 'mentally retarded' girl!" She pouted like a child.
I pulled her ear softly. "I was just kidding! I like to play with you L-... Vicia~! You're just so silly that I cannot hold my laughter anymore~!" I gave her a soft smile.
-1 Hour Later; Boutique-
I was in the changing room, looking at my reflection in the mirror.
I was wearing an elegant crimson suit and red pants from that suit.
"Vicia, I'm not sure if that fits me quite well, you know?" I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"Show yourself before complaining, Shoji-kun! I am the woman here, and it means that I'm the only one who has a fashion sense out of the two of us!" Her voice came from behind the curtains.
I tossed the curtains to the side and walked out. I was frowning and blushing out of embarrassment.
With a swift move of her hand, she took her smartphone out of her bust, taking a photo of me.
"Hey! W-What are you doing?!" I blushed even more.
She stood up from the couch and walked up to me. "Noble and blushing Shoji at the same time..." She wrapped her arms behind my neck. "I must have used a lifetime of luck to see something as cute as this~!" She smiled in amazement.
"W-What are you talking about... y-you stupid girl?!" I asked in frustration.
"It's perfect... it fits you so well~..." She brushed her face into my chest. "And the fragrance... also smells... soo goood~... intoxicating I'd say..." She sounded like she was high for a moment.
She then leaned away and looked into my eyes. "Why so red, Shoji-kun? Embarassed~?" She smirked.
"F-Fuck you!" I said out of embarrassment.
"Okaaay~!" She ruffled my hair. "Let's pay and get going, shall we? After all... it's not only you who's hungry right now~"
-Some Time Later; Restaurant-
Vicia sat down on the small couch by the table, patting the space next to her. "Come on~!" She smiled.
I sat down on the opposite side of the table, looking down at the menu.
"There's plenty of space here." I rolled my eyes.
"Aww~! You're mean! Toooo meannn~!" She stood up and forced herself next to me, locking her arm with mine.
She picked up the menu and stared at it for some time. "Hmm... maybe spaghetti? Do you like spaghetti, Shoji-kun~?" She asked cutely.
I looked down at her breasts, feeling the temptation. "Fuckkk! They're so close... I want to touch them! Ugh... why do you have to be so naturally gifted, you stupid blackhead?!"
She noticed where I was looking and she covered her chest with her left arm. "I told you to ask me w-when you want to look!" She blushed.
"You can't say the same things when you're trying to play another character, Vicia~" I smirked.
She looked at me in confusion. "What do you me-..." She then realized and it was obvious that she was pretending not to know what I was talking about. "What? Hmm... I don't know, Shoji-kun, mind explaining?"
"Nope~"
"And yeah, spaghetti will be fine, I guess," I said.
She then raised her hand and said cutely. "Waiter, waiter!"
She then ordered the dishes, paying with the money which she took out from her bust.
I looked at her chest. "Why do you keep so much stuff in between your boobs? Your back must be in pain already, and you're just adding the weight." I said curiously.
"Umm... I-I don't really have any other places where I could keep my stuff..." She softly caressed the fabric of her dress with her hand. "See? There are no pockets!" She smiled, tho I noticed that she was tired due to her eyelids slowly closing.
"What about the weight? Isn't that like 2 kilograms of weight you need to carry every day?" I smiled smugly.
"Uhh... I-I don't know... we demons are a whole another species... we don't feel pain the same way humans do... besides... I would never be mad at my bust... for us, demons, our bust is our pride." She finally moved her arm away from mine and hugged herself.
I just stared at her. "She seems to be happy... not gloomy, not sad, not hurt, but genuinely happy..."
I smirked, wrapping my arm around her shoulders. "Hmm... I don't think I could ever understand what are you talking about... unless..."
"Unless what?" She looked at me, her eyes big and curious.
I reached my left hand in front of her face and squeezed the air. "Unless you let me get to feel them~"
She blushed furiously. "C-Can you stop asking me this q-question over and over again, y-you idiot...?" She lightly punched the top of my head.
She looked at the ground and smiled softly. "Hmph...I swear you've gotten too bold during the break..." She pouted quietly.
"What was that~?" I pinched her ear softly.
"Hmph... I'm getting sleepy... what is it... 2 AM...?" She muttered under her nose slowly.
She then leaned her head on my shoulder, looking up at me. "Shoji-kuun~ I was very very kind and good today... right~?" She smiled softly.
I rolled my eyes mockingly. "Nope, you're a mean girl, especially mean today~" I laughed.
"Hmph... I want you to return me the favor..." She said softly.
I sighed. "I mean... ehh... at the end, you agreed to help me do something you didn't want to, so I guess I owe you one."
The waiter came up to our table- A cute girl in a maid outfit, probably a commoner. She placed down two plates of spaghetti on the table, smiling softly at us, not interrupting.
Vicia grabbed a fork and put it in my hand. "Shoji-kun... Feed me~" She closed her eyes.
I was stunned for a moment until I saw Taida sitting in front of me. "How does it work, Yokubo? You're weak, weak as hell, yet you're getting what you've always wanted..." He scratched his chin with wonder.
"I just do what I think is good, I guess?" I smiled awkwardly.
"You started to make me doubt my beliefs and worldview... the vision of you being the only happy, the only successful Shoji starts to slowly become reality... I just don't understand... what's so special about you?!" He started biting his nails out of doubt.
Vicia opened her mouth slightly. "Aaa~" She whispered into my ear softly.
I smirked. "I mean... what can I do, right?" I wrapped some spaghetti around the fork and fed it to her.
She opened her eyes, they were gleaming with excitement and happiness. "It's sooo goood~!"
After she ate her own portion, I finally put some of the spaghetti in my mouth.
"Damn! This is really goo-..."
She smugly smiled. "What are you doing, Shoji-kun? I told you to feed me~" She pouted and then kissed me on the lips, her tongue invading my mouth and stealing every bit of spaghetti I had in there.
She then leaned away, licking the tomato sauce off her lips. "I'm full, thank you."
I was too stunned to even say anything.
"I'm gonna take a short nap, wake me up when you'll be ready to go, okay~?" She then wrapped her arms around my waist, using my thigh as a pillow.
I looked at her as she fell asleep like a baby.
"I guess not only I got somewhat bold in the past few days, huh?" I smiled.
From out of nowhere, the strongest shiver I've ever had ran down my spine. "What a sweet view I'm witnessing, two Anomalies on a cute date~" A mature, feminine, and sinister voice came from the other side of the table.
My eyes widened as I looked at the woman who just appeared here out of thin air. "Who are you?! When did y-..." I quickly noticed how large her breasts were. "Damn..."
Her eye color and hair color seemed to constantly change as she looked around the restaurant.
She then looked into my eyes. "Cute, gray, I'll be taking them, afufu~" She giggled.
Her eyes turned gray, the same shade of gray my eyes are.
I was too stunned and confused to say anything, Vicia was asleep, not reacting to anything.
"Hello, Nakamura Shoji-kun~ I have heard a lot about you lately~," She said with a sultry voice.
Before I could even answer with anything she covered her mouth dramatically. "Oh my~ How mean can I be~!? I haven't introduced myself yet..." Her hair turned blonde and her eyes turned yellow. "My name is Vyzelth Moraine, The Lady Of Thousand Faces... or how most demons address me... The Patron Of Envy afufu~!"
"The Patron Of Envy...? Vicia mentioned them earlier... but what is an influential figure doing here, talking to me?!"
"W-What do you want from us?" I asked, trying to be as careful as possible.
"I saw the two of you from my tower and I followed you around~... I got sooo jealous over the spark you both share that I wanted to witness it... I wanted to take that spark~ but I haven't realized that it's The Calamity you're with... after all look at her... eye contact and a wig... it's impossible that you haven't noticed it~" She said.
"I did notice, so what? It's not like it would change anything anyway, I knew since the beginning... after all... Layla is a very bad liar..." I rolled my eyes.
"The Calamity was always intriguing to me... every time I saw her... I saw her beautiful eyes... demons hate that kind of eyes... but I am jealous of them... I tried so many times to mimic them, but couldn't~" She smirked as her eyes turned red.
"Layla told me that others find her eyes disgusting and insulting... but she never actually explained why..." I looked at her curiously.
"Oh! You finally asked! The thing I'm about to tell you is the reason why I started this conversation~..." She smirked as her hair turned violet. "Little Layla-chan has the eyes of a Primordial Demon~"
I stared at her in confusion. "So what?" I asked.
She raised her eyebrows in surprise but regained her composure as quickly. "Have you seen how a demon acts during their Frenzy? That's just the leftover of the primordial nature... now imagine that this girl who's sleeping peacefully like a baby on your lap is constantly in that state, thinking about how to please herself or how nice it would be to kill someone... and the most unsettling thing is how she manages to control those urges and act like a normal person..."
I looked down at Vicia. "So that's what you meant back then...?" I smirked. "You're really, something else..."
Vyzelth stood up from the couch with a sly smirk on her face. "It's time for me to go, I'm sure we'll meet again, sooner or later~" She then left the restaurant.
I just sat there for some time, but I decided to finish the dish.
-2 Hours Later-
"Here we are!" She said as we arrived upon an old door.
"Wait a second... that's the same door that I used to enter The Underworld for the first time!"
I looked at her. "Before I go, can you close your eyes for a moment?" I asked.
"H-Huh? Why?" She looked at me curiously.
"Just do it," I said.
"F-Fine... there is nothing bad that can happen I guess..." She then closed her eyes.
I reached my hand towards her head, taking off her with a swift move of my hand.
She immediately opened her eyes as her raven-black hair finally got some air. "H-huh?! W-What are you doing?!" She asked in frustration.
"I've been wondering about two things the entire time... why do you pretend that you're someone else and why did you decide to help me after what you said the last Friday...?" I asked.
She looked down at the ground, slowly taking her contacts off. "Someone made me realize something..."
"Realize what?" I asked.
She then wrapped her arms around my neck. "That my love for you will never die... and your love for me will always surprise me... I love you..." She smiled softly, kissing me on the lips.
I looked into her eyes and kissed her back.
She then broke the kiss and took a step back, her eyes wide in surprise and a wide smile on her face. "I-I... I did it?!... I did?" She giggled.
"I didn't think that i-it would be so easy to do it... without pretending to be someone else... after so much time of separation..." She looked at the ground, fidgeting with her fingers.
"So who was the one who helped you, Layla?" I asked curiously, poking her forehead.
"Ouch!... Mhm.."
-April 27th, Friday, Sometime After The Entrance Ceremony-
Layla was sitting on the Academy rooftop, eating breakfast alone.
Suddenly someone kicked her bento out of her hands.
She looked up, meeting Lilith's hateful and cold crimson eyes.
"H-Huh?" Layla gasped.
"Why did you lash out at him like that, huh?!" Lilith said with a tone of disdain.
After a moment of silence, Layla finally recognized her. "You're the girl he was with yesterday..." She said with a slight amount of hate in her voice.
"I will ask again... why did you lash out at him like that?!" Lilith asked again, her fury growing and growing.
"Because I wanted to scare him away... he doesn't need me... I was just delusional to think that the thing that was once between us can be restored..." Layla said with sadness in her voice.
Lilith snapped. She pushed Layla to the ground and got on top of her, slapping her cheeks over and over.
"Get off me! Ow! Stop it!" Layla screamed as she tried to lift her off herself.
"You...! You damn... you stupid bitch! That guy clearly has only eyes for you! I wish that he was smarter and searched for someone better, but he is attracted to you like a moth to a flame!" Lilith's frustration and anger seemed to never end.
Layla teared up. "Liar! You're lying! If he liked me then why would he ask for your help instead of mine, huh?! I'm a lot stronger than you! I'm a lot stronger than you all combined! Then why?! Why?!" She slapped Lilith back.
"Because he cares about you so much that he didn't want to give you any more trouble than you already have! Did everything go into your boobs rather than your brain?!" Lilith said.
"What... what are you talking about...?" Layla asked with uncertainty.
"He didn't ask for your help because we were in the fucking Ebonhold! Shoji-kun was searching for anything regarding the identity of the person who cursed Haruki-san!" She rolled her eyes.
Layla's tears rolled down her cheeks. "How... how can you be sure that he didn't just think that I'm useless... or that you're a far better choice..."
"Because I saw and heard how much care and respect he has for you! No matter how bad the gossip was, he still cared for you, even after finding out that they were true! I don't know what lewd shit you did to make him so loyal to you, but that's the truth!"
Layla slowly wiped her tears, a small smile visiting her face. "And... I just wanted to scare him away... why do I suck so much...? How can I even fix that...?" She said with grief and happiness at the same time.
Lilith smirked. "Now we are talking!"
-Back In Present-
"And that's how it went... it was Lily who gave me the motivation to try one last time... I was too shy to just visit your house after telling you to go away... but then I felt your Vymir in The Underworld so I finally got myself together..." She smiled softly.
"What about the wig and contacts?" I asked.
"I'm always wearing a disguise when I go out because demons, especially children are scared of me." She giggled.
I looked at the door. "I think it's time to go our ways, Layla." I sighed.
She nodded. "You're right... it's very late..."
She then hugged me tightly and gave me a SIM card and a piece of paper. "Here... that thing will let you contact me when I'm in The Underworld... my phone number is on the paper..."
"Oh... thanks, I guess?" I smiled awkwardly, accepting her gift.
I turned around and opened the door. "See ya on the camping trip~!" I smirked.
"Yes! Goodnight! Have the best dreams ever... and they better be about me~! Love you!" I looked at her for the last time, seeing her tears of happiness.
"Love you too." I finally said it.
I stepped through the gate.
