I am the True Person

As David ended his life, a massive unknown circle with cryptic symbols appeared. He wasn't alone—twenty-five others who had committed suicide at the same moment were also engulfed in the eerie glow. In an instant, they were transported to an entirely different world.

David awoke, his vision blurry, his senses overwhelmed. As his mind adjusted, he saw himself surrounded by others—boys and girls of his age—all equally bewildered. They were standing in an immaculate white palace, so vast and grand it seemed beyond human construction. In front of them stood a man, his very presence exuding divinity, adorned in golden robes, eyes filled with an overwhelming sense of supremacy. The atmosphere itself seemed to kneel before him.

With a voice that resonated through the very walls, the being spoke, "Welcome, humans, to my world. I have summoned you here as heroes—to bring peace and protect this world from evil."

A murmur spread among the summoned individuals. Confusion, disbelief, awe—emotions clashed as whispers filled the room.

David, having read countless novels and comics in his college years, felt a sharp jolt of realization. Was this truly happening? Had he really been summoned into another world, just like those fictional characters? Was this a typical quest to defeat the Demon King?

But the twist came next.

The god continued, "You are all chosen ones, and now, you shall receive our blessings. My wives, please come forth."

From behind him, six ethereal women emerged, each breathtakingly beautiful, their presence almost blinding. Each represented an element: Water, Fire, Light, Thunder, Wind, and Nature.

The summoned humans stood in stunned silence, overwhelmed by their divine beauty. The god, pleased with their reaction, declared, "Now that you are blessed, you shall receive your ranks. Come forward and place your hand upon this crystal."

The ranking system ranged from S to D, with S being the highest, D the lowest. One by one, the humans stepped up, placing their hands upon the glowing crystal. Some received S ranks, others A and B. No one received a D.

Until David's turn came.

He hesitantly walked forward and placed his hand on the crystal. The moment it lit up, the entire hall fell silent. The crystal shone dimly before displaying a single letter—D.

A hushed silence followed, before laughter erupted. The summoned humans, the god, his wives—all laughed. The god's voice, laced with amusement and apathy, rang out, "No human has ever received a D rank before." Disdain filled his gaze as he looked at David. "We have no need for a pathetic human like you."

David did not react. No anger, no despair—just silence. His gaze flickered across every face in the room, memorizing them. He didn't plead, didn't justify, didn't ask why.

"Throw him away," the god ordered.

The Goddess of Light bound David with golden ropes of energy, her lips curled in a smirk. With a flash of light, he was cast out—banished into a dense, dark forest.

The moment David's feet hit the ground, he found himself surrounded. Seven enormous wolves, each the size of a tiger, emerged from the shadows, their hungry eyes locked onto him.

For the first time in years, David laughed. But this was not the laughter of joy—it was twisted, broken, filled with pure insanity.

"Ha… Ha… Hahaha…!" His laughter echoed through the forest, unhinged and terrifying. Tears streamed down his face as he spread his arms. "Come, eat me! I have no reason to live! I wanted revenge, I wanted power, but I have NOTHING! Just devour me already!"

But just as the wolves lunged, time froze.

The world turned pitch black. Everything around him vanished, swallowed by an infinite abyss. A deep, ominous voice rang in his ears. "Well, well, well… What do we have here? A human from another world carrying my power."

David spun around to see a figure emerge from the darkness. A man—or something resembling one—his form shifting, his presence overwhelming.

"Who are you?" David demanded.

"I am the God of Darkness," the being said. "The previous god of this world."

David narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean, 'previous'?"

The darkness chuckled bitterly. "I was betrayed. The heroes I summoned—one man and six women—stabbed me in the back with a god-killer sword. They stole my throne and sealed me away. But before I was sealed, I left fragments of my power scattered across the world… And you, David, have inherited it."

David clenched his fists. "How could a god be betrayed by mortals? They didn't have divine power."

The God of Darkness smirked. "Because I trusted them blindly. And now, tell me your story."

David recounted everything—the humiliation, the betrayal, the laughter.

The darkness hummed. "A harsh fate indeed."

David stared into the abyss. "You want revenge? So do I. Give me your power. I'll make the gods suffer the way you did."

The darkness grinned. "You amuse me. Very well, I shall grant you everything."

The seal shattered. Power surged through David's veins, overwhelming and intoxicating. The God of Darkness watched in stunned silence—his seal, which should have never been broken, had shattered the moment he granted his power to David.

"Interesting," he murmured. "Let's see where this child's path leads."

David returned to reality, his body thrumming with newfound power. The wolves, sensing an unfathomable presence, hesitated. Then, without warning, they disintegrated into dust.

A voice echoed in David's mind. "Well, well, well… You're using my power quite wisely."

David smirked. "You can speak to me?"

"Yes. And now, what will you do?" Eternal—the God of Darkness—asked.

David's smile turned wicked. "Revenge isn't something to be rushed. I want to savor it. First, I'll hunt down every hero and give them a suffering worse than death. Then, I'll break those goddesses until they beg for mercy. And finally, I'll tear that bastard god apart."

Eternal chuckled. "Ambitious. You have the power to create or destroy entire worlds. You could wipe them out instantly."

David shook his head. "No, no, no… I want them to feel despair. To drown in agony. I want them to scream until their voices shatter. And when they've lost everything, then—only then—will I decide whether to let this world live or burn it to ashes."

The sun rise over the kingdom of Renauld, where the summoned heroes were training with knights and mages, oblivious to what awaited them.

David, standing in the shadows of the forest, laughed softly. "I am the one who will live by my own rules. No god, no fate, no chains shall bind me. Even if the waves of destiny try to crush me, even if death looms at my doorstep, I will never grieve, never fear, never falter. I will laugh, even at the edge of insanity. I am the only human who will live his true nature and I am the True Person."

His laughter echoed through the darkened woods, a sound that sent shivers down the spine of the world itself.

The hunt had begun.
