When Luke's mech began to spit fire from its crotch, not only Tony and Rhodey were stunned, but also Black Widow.
Black Widow, who was far away in the Hammer Building, witnessed the whole process of Luke's antics through remote monitoring.
Her face was filled with helplessness as she held her forehead and sighed. "This little brat."
She thought: They're just kids after all, playing around even while fighting. But who the hell is Pikachu?
Since Luke had mentioned Pikachu several times just now, it sounded like a person's name. Black Widow thought it was necessary to report to Nick Fury later and have S.H.I.E.L.D. check the name.
Rhodey's eyes widened. It was the first time he had seen someone install a flamethrower there.
Even if this mech was big enough to house all kinds of weapons, why did it have to be so exaggerated? Why place it there when there were plenty of better options?
With the eyes of an expert, Rhodey quickly spotted several better places for mounting the flamethrower. The arms? The waist? Hell, even the back? All empty. Nothing mounted there.
Did the designer have some kind of weird fetish? Rhodey was completely baffled.
Tony, on the other hand, wasn't even surprised.
"Yeah… That's definitely Apostle's style."
Under normal circumstances, this kind of absurd move would be prime material for endless ridicule. But right now? Tony didn't even feel the need to comment.
There was only one reason—the guy in the mech was Apostle.
If it was Apostle, then anything—literally anything—was possible.
Tony was almost used to it.
"Phantom Sword Dance!"
After roasting another Iron Soldier with his crotch-mounted flamethrower, Luke immediately raised his giant mecha sword and went in swinging.
What followed was nothing short of a slaughter.
The Phantom Sword Dance wasn't just a flashy move—it was a true swordmaster's technique, a combination of 24 complex sword moves executed in perfect succession.
Each strike wasn't just raw power—it carried a sharp, deadly sword aura.
Although the Phantom Sword Dance's sword aura wasn't as overwhelming as the Shura Evil Light Slash, its sheer speed and precision made it unstoppable.
And when paired with Luke's mecha giant sword, coated with pure adamantium alloy, this move alone could be described in one word—indestructible.
Right now, the Marvel Universe was still in its early stages. Vibranium wasn't widely used, and pure adamantium-coated weapons were already considered legendary-tier.
And Luke was wielding such a weapon… in a giant mech.
The power scaling was out of control.
Luke estimated that his sword would remain top-tier at least until the end of Avengers 1. By the time Thor: Love and Thunder rolled around, he'd probably need an upgrade.
Fittingly, the reward for this mission was another sword.
Since it was a system reward, Luke had no doubt it would be insanely powerful.
"Looks like I'm about to become a dual-wielding berserker."
At this point, the battlefield was no longer a fight—it was Luke's solo performance.
The War Lord's massive, two-story-high frame moved with unnatural agility. Each step seemed heavy, yet its speed was terrifying.
Every time the War Lord swung its sword, one or two Iron Soldiers instantly fell.
And a few seconds later? Boom. They exploded.
Even just grazing the edge of the sword aura was fatal.
Luke didn't just cut them down—he absolutely annihilated them.
The War Lord charged forward, its giant sword painting dazzling arcs of light across the battlefield.
Wherever it passed, Iron Soldiers fell like dominoes.
And in less than ten seconds—
Not a single Iron Soldier remained standing.
Only wreckage.
"Kill! Kill!" Ross's voice was filled with excitement.
The battle had awakened something ancient and bloodthirsty inside it.
It reminisced about its past, standing atop a thousand swords, unrivaled in the demon world.
Ross, now fully immersed in bloodlust, eagerly pushed Luke forward. "Luke! There are two more left over there! Let's finish them off! Come on!"
Luke turned his head—only to realize that Ross was pointing at Tony and Rhodey.
"We can't kill those two," Luke deadpanned.
"Why the hell not? That Stark guy pisses me off every time I see him! Hmph! One day, I swear I'll kill him!" Ross declared.
Luke sighed and took a moment of silence in advance for Tony.
Meanwhile, Tony was still processing what the hell he had just witnessed.
The flamethrower? Fine. That was dumb, but expected.
But that swordplay?
Even as an outsider, Tony couldn't ignore the skill behind those moves.
That was master-level swordsmanship.
Tony hated to admit it, but… damn, that was cool.
"How the hell does this guy know everything?"
Fighting? Swordsmanship? Who is he, really?
Tony's expression darkened inside his helmet. Is Fury recruiting him for the initiative?
At this moment, he knew he needed answers.
"I need to hack S.H.I.E.L.D. and dig up everything they have on the Apostles."
On the other side, Rhodey, who had witnessed it all firsthand, finally found his voice.
"Tony, please tell me this guy is on our side."
Tony shrugged. "For now."
"Then I can rest easy."
As soon as Rhodey finished speaking—
Bzzzt!
Tony suddenly raised his hand and blasted Luke's shoulder with an Arc Pulse.
The War Lord didn't move an inch.
Luke turned his head, looking at Tony in pure confusion.
Tony shrugged again. "Oops. My bad. Accidental shot."
Luke: "..."
Accident my ass.
Of course, Luke knew exactly what this was. Petty revenge.
Tony was still salty about getting screwed over multiple times.
Monaco? Humiliated on live TV.
The research meeting? Almost died waiting for a "delivery."
Jarvis getting hacked? No proof, but Tony was damn sure Apostle was behind it.
Tony grinned. "You can hit back."
Ross cackled. "Ohhh, I like this guy. Full marks for shamelessness!"
Luke sighed and stepped forward, towering over Tony.
The G-0 War Lord raised its giant fist—bigger than a truck.
Luke: "You do realize if I punch you, you might actually die, right?"
Tony looked up at the giant fist, silent for a moment.
Then, he quietly took a step back.
And smoothly changed the subject. "You actually let a mech use swords? Are you trying to take us back to the Middle Ages? This is a technological downgrade."
Luke rolled his eyes. "How about we have a proper duel, then?"
He'd been waiting way too long for a chance to fight Tony again.
The last time was in Monaco.
Now, it was time for Round Two.
Right as things were about to escalate—
Black Widow's voice crackled through the comms.
"Tony, I've got an alert—another Iron Soldier is headed your way. This one seems… different."
Luke's eyes lit up.
"Finally. The real Pikachu has arrived."
The revenge of light was about to begin.
