A few days have passed, since the monster incident. Andy didn't think of going out for the last few days, he practiced trying to make the tornado more controllable, but in the process destroyed nearly half of the goblin settlement a few times. Nothing special happened.
After reconstructing the village the goblins go to bed, their celebration from the completion of construction winding down to a series of drunken murmurs and muffled snores echoing through the village. The night was quiet, save for the rustling of leaves and the occasional distant howl of creatures in the deeper parts of the forest. Andy hovered above the village, a glowing ball of light lost in thought, watching as the bonfire died down.
He couldn't shake the feeling that something was coming, something much bigger than goblins, monsters, and accidental heroism. The trill of leadership had worn off a little too quickly, and now, Andy felt that it was deep within him the one that told him he was meant for more than this little village.
Lira floated up beside him, her usual expression softened into something more contemplative. "you are restless," she observed.
"Yeah," Andy replied, looking out into the dark expanse of the world beyond the small village. "I feel like there is more to this whole thing just…being the goblins leader. Like there is a whole world out there I haven't even scratched the surface of it."
Lira raised an eyebrow. " you want to leave, don't you? You want to go out there, beyond the forest, beyond the goblins."
Andy hesitated. "I don't know. I just feel drawn to it, I guess. There is something bigger out there. I can feel it."
Lira sighed, floating lazily beside him. "I know this day would come. You have been growing restless since the monster incident. You have learned all you can here with the goblins, and now, it's time for you to move on. After all I can't stop you all the time.
"Is it?" Andy said with a chuckle. "you are not the only one that can lead them. They will be fine without you, and you know it. The real question is whether you are ready to step out of the comfort zone you have created here and face what's out there."
Andy looked back towards the village, his thoughts clouded. The goblins had come to rely on him, and he had to admit he had grown attached to them in a way he hadn't expected. The idea of leaving them behind felt…wrong but the call of adventure was stronger than ever thug at him like an invincible thread.
"I don't even know where to start," Andy said to himself. "what if there is something out there that I am not ready for? What if I get myself killed? I don't want to die again."
Lira's voice was gentle, but firm. "you all figure it out. You have been figuring things out since you woke up as a wisp. You have more power than you realize, Andy. You have got the ability to adapt, to think your way through problems. You are not going out there completely unprepared." Andy floated in silence for a moment. Looking at the stars scattered across the sky. There was so much he didn't know, so much he hadn't seen. He had barely scratched the surface of this strange world, and yet, every day felt like it brought something new. The thought of discovering more of the monsters, the magic, and the untold stories of this world was exciting.
But was he ready for that?
Lira broke the silence again, her voice taking on a more serious tone. "you are going to face dangers. You are going to face things that will challenge you. But I have seen what you can do. And I am telling you, you are more than just some lost wisp. You are capable of much more just need to believe it, and have more confidence in yourself."
Andy didn't respond immediately. Instead, he took a deep breath and let it out slowly. The forest was quiet now, the sounds of the forest were quiet now, the sounds of the goblin's celebration replaced by the silence of the night. And yet, despite the stillness, Andy could feel that his heart was telling him it was time for him to move on.
"I am not sure I am ready," Andy said, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Are any of us ever truly ready for adventure?" lira responded with a sly grin "The real question is whether you are going to keep waiting for the right moment or if you are going to take that first step and make your path. Many people waste their time always hesitating, as they want to go or not. What did you choose?"
Andy looked out into the horizon, his eyes scanning the distant forests, the towering mountains in the distance, and the unknown lands beyond. He didn't know what awaited him out there. But for the first time, the uncertainty disn6feek as daunting. It felt like a challenge a challenge he was ready to face.
With a deep breath, Andy floated higher into the air, his glow brightening with a newfound sense of purpose.
"You are right," Andy said, his voice filled with confidence. "I can't keep hiding here. I have learned everything I can from the goblins. It's time to find out what's out there."
Lira smiled, the gleam in her eyes shifting from mischief to something almost proud. ", finally. I was beginning to think I'd have to drag you out of here myself."
Andy chuckled. "you wouldn't have to drag me too far, I guess. But…I am going to need some help."
Lira raised an eyebrow. "help? You have been doing fine on your own."
"Well, you are the one who keeps saying I am more capable than I realize," Andy said with a grin. "If I am going out of here. I could use a guide."
Lira's smirk returned. "you want me to hold your hand, huh?
"Not quite," Andy said. But.. maybe just pointing me in the right direction. You know this world better than I do."
Lira chuckled. "fine. I will give you a head start, but don't expect me to stick around forever. I have got my own things to do."
"I will take that as a yes," Andy said, his voice full of determination. "let's go and see what's out there."
The wind picked up as if in response to his words, and the leaves rustled in the trees below. Andy felt a strange excitement build inside him a fire that had been dormant for far too long. This was the beginning of something bigger, something unknown. He didn't know what exactly awaited him out there, but he knew one thing for sure he was going to face it head-on.
With Lira by his side, Andy floated away from the village, the glow of his light creating a soft aura in the dark night. Ahead of him lay the unknown, a world full of adventure danger and mysteries.
And after a long time, Andy felt ready to embrace it all.
The call of adventure had been answered.
And Andy was finally stepping into it
