Aiden's hand cupped my cheek as his lips moved against mine in a deep, consuming kiss that made the world blur around us.
I was utterly lost in him, every thought fading away until he pulled back slightly, nibbling on my lower lip and murmuring against it, "Your phone's ringing."
"Huh?" I mumbled, still disoriented and craving more of his kisses. I leaned forward, drawn back to him, but froze as the vibration near my leg pulled me out of the moment. Glancing down, I saw the caller ID.
Moana.
I picked up the phone and stared at the screen. "Moana? Why would she be calling me now?"
"Only one way to find out," Aiden said.
Without overthinking it, I tapped to answer and put it on speaker. Raising the phone to my ear felt like an impossible task in my current dazed state. Besides, I was sure Moana just wanted to know where I was.
"Ellie! Why didn't you tell me you and Noah are being threatened with emails?!"
