"Is this the carcass of the creature from the Sea Race? Maybe we can find its weakness after we inspect it!" A player with the ID 'Evolutionary Player' took out a knife made from ground bones and started slicing open the corpse. Bit by bit, he pulled out its internal organs and studied them like a mad scientist.
"Alright, listen up! We need a combat meeting, or else when the Sea Race comes, it's GG!" Star shouted, raising his arms like some kind of war general.
The players swarmed in. After all, a single pioneer squad from the Sea Race had already wiped out more than a dozen of them. And the worst part? They didn't even put up a fight.
"Brother Ming said when the Sea Race attacks, they'll have hundreds of troops, and the big boss is in the Foundation Establishment Realm. How do we even fight that?" someone asked, already sweating.
"Foundation Establishment boss? LET ME AT HIM." Indomitable Bear's eyes lit up like he just got his hands on a legendary drop.
He was already at the eighth stage of Body Forging and could slap around two War Hunchback Beasts at the same time without breaking a sweat. To him, the War Hunchback Beasts were just walking punching bags. But the Sea Race? Now that was a real challenge!
"I've been analyzing their moves," Star said, rubbing his chin like some kind of detective. "The Sea Race has two major threats. First, their bone spears. Those things are stupid fast. Except for Brother Ming, none of us can block them. Second, their Water Control Technique. They can summon currents out of nowhere and drag us into the water. If hundreds of them cast it at once? That's not just a technique. That's a goddamn tsunami."
Silence.
"…So basically, we die?" someone muttered.
"Not necessarily," Indomitable Bear cut in. "The spears have a pattern. And our Colored Arm might not be able to block them head-on, but dodging is a different story. I've figured out the trick."
Someone immediately perked up. "Wait, for real? How do we dodge them?"
"I'll be hosting a bone spear evasion cram school in a bit," Indomitable Bear said smugly. "Seats are limited. First come, first served, payement will be War Hunchback pelts."
"SHUT UP AND TAKE MY PELTS."
Meanwhile, First Ice Man was deep in thought. "I saw Brother Ming using Frost Arrow on them, and it absolutely wrecked them. These guys have no fur, no scales, nothing. They're probably weak to ice. If we gather all the players good at Frost Arrow, we might be able to freeze them into popsicles."
"Bro, are we about to start an ice mage guild?" someone whispered.
While everyone debated, Star dropped the real question. "That's great and all, but how do we deal with the tsunami?"
Dead silence again.
"…So basically, we still die?"
Then, someone stepped forward. A player named MC Myth. He was holding a massive roll of animal skins.
"Relax. I've got this."
With a dramatic whoosh, he unfurled the skins onto the ground. It was a hand-drawn blueprint.
A dam.
"…Bro. You seriously brought a blueprint in a xiaxia game?" someone asked, blinking in disbelief.
"Their biggest strength is water," MC Myth explained. "So we take that advantage away. Give me twenty people, and we'll build a dam. When they flood us? We'll reverse flood them."
"Wait…You can do that?." Star's eyes widened.
The crowd murmured, unsure at first. Then one person recognized him.
"Wait. Hold up. Are you that MC Myth? The one who built the flying space battleship Titan in Minecraft?"
The moment those words left his mouth, the players lost their minds.
"NO WAY."
"THE MC MYTH?!"
"Bro, I saw a video of this guy building a functional city on a floating island!"
"I heard he once recreated Noah's Ark, but with a built-in missile launcher."
MC Myth just cracked his knuckles. "Leave the dam to me. I'll have it done in a day."
"Alright then," Star said, grinning. "If MC Myth can build a dam, then I can build us a goddamn battle plan."
The players erupted in excitement. A dam? Against the Sea Race? It was insane, but at the same time, it made perfect sense.
"Wait, wait, wait. If we actually pull this off… are we just gonna trap them like fish in a barrel?" someone asked.
"Exactly," MC Myth said confidently. "Once the water's controlled, they lose their biggest weapon. No more surprise currents dragging us under, no more battlefield manipulation. They'll be fighting on our terms."
"But won't they just break through it?"
MC Myth grinned. "They can try."
Behind him, seven other players stepped forward. They all had the same glint in their eyes.
"Oh no," someone whispered. "They're Minecraft veterans."
These weren't just casual builders. These were the players who had spent years creating everything from automatic farming systems to full-scale medieval cities in survival mode.
"Big Brother Myth," one of them said. "We request permission to engage God Mode Construction."
"Permission granted."
The Minecraft squad immediately sprinted off to gather materials, already drawing up plans to reinforce the dam with stone walls, wooden barricades, and a layered defense system.
Meanwhile, Star was busy assembling the battle formations. "Alright! While the dam is being built, we need teams."
He pointed to a group of players. "Ice Team, you guys focus on spamming Frost Arrows. Freeze as many of them as possible. If they can't move, they can't fight."
Another group. "Ranged Team, your job is to snipe out their shamans. If they have spellcasters controlling water, we need them gone."
He turned to Indomitable Bear. "Melee Team—"
Indomitable Bear cut him off. "Say no more. We punch."
"…Yeah, basically. Just don't die."
Then he faced the last group. "Dam Defense Team. Your job is to make sure MC Myth and his builders aren't interrupted. If the Sea Race breaks through before the dam is finished, we're screwed."
The players nodded in unison.
"All good?" Star asked.
"Yeah, yeah, let's get to it."
"Hold on, one last thing," a player piped up. "What do we do if a Foundation Establishment Realm boss actually shows up?"
Everyone went quiet.
Then, Indomitable Bear cracked his knuckles. "Simple. We stall until Brother Ming gets here."
Star exhaled. "Right. Then let's move. Everyone, get ready. The Sea Race is coming."
