For a second, I felt pity toward her. "Am I even in a position to think that?"
When she was finally out, I made a a flow shield, raised my sword and battered them together, mocking them and to signify victory. Also because it sounded and looked cool. I had no smile on my face, just a straight and cold expression.
Everyone was in awe. The host refrained from his normal speech, once again reduced to mere audience, forced to watch the most improbable outcome. I scanned for Venus in the crowd, finding her seat empty.
"If my victory was this sour, why bother to excel in the first place?"
Fed up with their poor sportsmanship, with the last bit of energy I could gather, projected my voice for everyone to hear.
Will a patient die because he cannot swallow a pill? No! The pill will be grinded for the patient, put in water, and will be given to him if he desires to live. In the same way, If a spoon is too big, will a starving man not eat? No! He will use his hands, feet, everything and anything to be able to get the food down into his stoma. What is the essence of what I am saying? Because and unfavorable position is presented before you in something you usually do not face challenges in doesn't call for you to abandon it, just a new way to get through it"
"As we can see" I said pointing to Marse, now awake but can barely move.
"I beat her, fair and square. I won, and so what? What will that do me? What will come from enmity between us? Have you not seen enough from your thousands of years of living? These trivial things should not cause any disruption between us and how we relate toward each other. If I were to show you my world right now, you would not be able to recognize it. It is truly the lost world. If so, why drown ourselves further? My name is Muna, I apologize for any mishaps or insults thrown today. I hope to get along with you all, thank you all"
I made my way out of the arena, using the blade a s a walking stick, as the pain in my arm and legs settled in. I had mixed feelings on whether I should've or shouldn't have made that speech. "Will they think I'm weak?" "Will it have an effect?"
Thoughts like those flooded my mind as I walked back out of the arena. Just as I was outside, someone stopped me. A man over 7 feet, with a frightening amount of muscle.
He had a thick grey beard, interwoven as a warrior would have. In his eyes were the look of war, his voice a loop of thunder. As if he was not frightening enough, he had a blue crown on his head, left standing apart from his grey hair. He was the 'Father"
"Child, are you the one named Muna?
I thought about the situation. I was wrecked, my arms almost rendered useless, my feet a trembling frame. Even the slightest shove would be enough to take care of me for good.
"If I dont want him doing anything, I'd be diplomatic about it. Even if it doesn't work, I've read countless novels. In these situations, if I play my cards right he'll be impressed, and I can buy some time, no, he would be giving it for free"
"If I were who you were looking for, what would you do to me?"
I asked this question, because it was the only one that didn't suppose I was either. So to answer, he would have to think. If he already knew it was me, he could just beat me, or we would dive into the discussion. Beating me now would bring nothing but disgrace among his proud kin, and talking more would be a win for me. And if he decides that I am not Muna, he'll might leave me alone. A total victory.
He smirked, tilted his head to the right and put his fists on his sides and relaxed
"Then I'll beat you right here. If you are not Muna, why are you limping, covered in wounds and walking out of the arena?"
A smart move, that almost crushed my plan. He knew what he was doing. Unlike like his appearance, he was using his brain. If I answered either question, in either way, I would still appear as Muna.
"Yes, I am Muna. Are you going to beat me, I guess no. Why are you actually trying to do?"
Sometimes, the smartest move looks like the dumbest one.
He tilted his head back and laughed.
"You are an amusing one. You knew that you were in trouble so you tried to buy some time, didn't you? I am not here to beat you, rather to congratulate you on your victory. Also, Venus definitely did not tell me that I should not tell you that she is not in her room, and the door is not open. See you later, young one!" He said as he jumped, going into the arena.
As I walked, I healed myself. I did to an extent, that I was a little bit more presentable.
I stole some robes from a line, used a comb to gently put my hair in order. When I was done, I made my way to the main castle. While I walked through the many corridors and hallways, it would be a lie to say that I was not surprised by the beauty of the interior, complementing its look on the outside. I tried to build for a while in the cave, only to no prevail, and they succeeded to make such a marvelous and complicated structure with only stone? Truly Impressive.
I as I walked along one of many hallways, I stumbled upon a door. I stopped, because something in me was drawn to what was inside. I looked up, and saw a big sign on top, written in bold letters, "Venus".
As I anxiously looked at the door, a waiter had come to deliver some tea.
"I-Ill help with that" I said as I gently took the tray from him, as kindly as I could. He was okay with it.
"Thank you very much" the waiter said as sprinted off happily.
I knocked the door twice.
"Who is it?"
"The waiter"
