Chapter 66: The Supreme Sorcerer/Mage

The Ancient One floated silently above the swimming pool, observing Angela as dark forces were forcibly injected into her body. Several times, she considered intervening, but each time, she restrained herself.

This was an opportunity—perhaps the best one—to strike against those parasites who spread their influence unchecked across the world. If she could use this moment properly, she was confident that these creatures wouldn't dare act so brazenly again. No more slipping through the cracks of reality without permission.

Yes, she despised them as well. That's why she agreed to cooperate with the American Ministry of Magic. Her presence here wasn't just to observe—it was to ensure nothing unpredictable got out of hand.

The Kamar-Taj was beyond the reach of any Ministry of Magic, and she—The Ancient One—was the Supreme Sorcerer/ Mage of all magicians. That title wasn't just an honor; it was a responsibility.

Though she found the method cruel, she knew there were ways to help Angela forget the suffering once this was over.

Then, something unexpected caught her attention. Closing her eyes, she peered into the flow of magic, and two figures appeared in her mind—one tall and rugged, an exorcist, and the other, a boy dressed in robes, clearly a student of magic.

"So, this is the Hogwarts student the Ministry mentioned?"

Her gaze lingered on the younger one. A boy, no older than thirteen or fourteen, yet his magic power was astonishingly rich. That alone piqued her interest. He was clearly gifted—a true prodigy.

Still, raw magical power didn't mean everything. She had seen many so-called "geniuses" struggle against experienced sorcerers. Power alone didn't guarantee victory.

She watched, expecting hesitation or fear when the boy faced the demons. Instead, what she saw shocked her.

With a speed that even she found surprising, the boy began casting spells—not cautiously, not timidly, but like a seasoned warrior.

A simple "Shatter!" and the demons exploded into ashes.

Fast. Precise. Merciless.

The demons barely had time to react. The exorcist, his partner, barely lifted his gun before realizing he wasn't needed.

"This... isn't normal."

Her brow furrowed as she continued to observe. It wasn't just his technique—it was the type of magic he was using.

Black magic.

Undeniably, unmistakably, he was wielding the dark arts.

That realization made The Ancient One pause.

She knew how the British Ministry of Magic loathed black magic. They had spent generations demonizing it, forbidding its practice, even designing entire curriculums around its defense.

To her, that was foolish.

She had long abandoned such simplistic labels. Power was power. It was neither good nor evil. The user defined its purpose. The dark arts were just another tool—dangerous, yes, but not inherently malevolent.

But for a Hogwarts student to not only know black magic but wield it so effortlessly? That was intriguing.

"A Ravenclaw, not a Slytherin. Even more peculiar."

The Ancient One allowed a faint smile. She was curious, yes, but also practical.

No need for guesswork. She'd simply ask him.

Few could lie to her.

And even if they could, she'd know.

As she contemplated this, the battle ended. The young magician stood among the wreckage, unfazed, showing no regret or hesitation.

"A rare talent indeed."

She was already considering a possibility—Kamar-Taj.

Would he be interested? Would he even agree?

The Ancient One didn't care what Hogwarts thought. If she extended an invitation, no school would dare refuse.

Every sorcerer who trained under her became a force to be reckoned with.

Yes, she would speak with him.

Slowly, she opened her eyes, letting the vision fade. Her gaze fell upon the lifeless body of the scavenger—the unfortunate soul used as a vessel for Mammon's power.

Her expression darkened.

Even though she had no connection to this man, he was still human.

These parasites thrived off humanity, yet they treated them as disposable.

"Patience," she told herself.

"I'll deal with you soon enough. And as for you…"

Her eyes flickered toward the presence lurking in the shadows.

"...Don't think I don't see you."
