As the vampires raised their guns and opened fire, Noah didn't flinch. In fact, he was excited.

A long time ago, he'd seen a movie where the protagonist—who looked uncannily like the woman next to him—effortlessly deflected bullets. Back then, Noah had fantasized about doing the same.

Reality was cruel, though. He'd woken up quickly from that daydream, if only to avoid being woken by someone else's piss.

But now? Things were different.

Noah had become a true magician. Sure, Kamar-Taj might lead him down some strange paths in the future, but for now, he was still pure—unspoiled, and powerful.

Bullets that could kill ordinary humans were nothing to a trained sorcerer.

"I've been wanting to try this for a while," he muttered. "I saw Angelina do it once, but there weren't enough enemies back then. This time's perfect."

As the vampires lifted their weapons, Noah moved faster. With practiced ease, he cast Heavy Obstacles, followed immediately by Heavy Armor.

A magician should never be careless. Caution is a core tenet of survival—and so is calmness. But facing these vampires? Calmness almost felt unnecessary. They were simply too weak.

Maybe it was because they'd never really considered humans a threat, especially with only werewolves as their natural enemies. The Ministry of Magic in this region had clearly failed to keep them in check, letting them grow lazy and complacent over the years.

Their physical strength might be impressive, but their instincts were dull. They relied more on modern firearms than their supernatural abilities.

It was laughable.

In the magical Britain Noah knew, vampires were on a whole different level—speed, strength, and cunning. Any one of those vampires could have come here and easily taken over.

Gunfire erupted, and bullets screamed through the air—only to freeze mid-flight before Noah and the others. They spun in place, suspended, nailed to an invisible wall of force.

"What the hell?! Magic?!"

The vampires panicked. Reality dawned on them far too late.

Even their leader—who had tried to quietly sneak away—froze in horror. His eyes flicked from the motionless bullets to the magician radiating with arcane power.

"Y-You're a magician? Are you violating the pact?!"

"Pact?" Noah raised an eyebrow, casually flicking his wand. "That was between you and this region's Ministry of Magic. What's it got to do with me?"

Before more words could be exchanged, he turned his wand sharply—every vampire in sight collapsed to the floor, groaning in pain.

His wand now pointed directly at their leader, whose face drained of blood—metaphorically this time.

"You… you're not with the Ministry?"

"Obviously."

"But the Ministry wouldn't bring foreign magicians—!"

"No. But if I'm here as an exorcist... well, that changes everything."

With a slight hum, his wand began glowing with fierce, translucent energy. A flurry of wind blades burst from it, slicing through the rain like spectral razors.

The vampires barely had time to react. One by one, they dropped to their knees, clutching at wounds on their arms and necks.

Wind Blade magic—simple, yes, but deadly in the right hands. Noah didn't bother wasting energy with precision. These weren't opponents—they were targets.

He turned. "Your turn, John."

Constantine stepped up, groaning under the rain. "Bloody hell, you want me to finish all of them one by one?"

"Didn't you bring a helper? Chase, you've gone mute all of a sudden?"

Noah chuckled, eyeing the nervous young man behind John.

"He's just overwhelmed," Constantine grumbled. "Probably pissing himself standing next to a Kamar-Taj prodigy."

Still, he grabbed Chase and began cleaning up the scene. It was easy work. Just put a blade through the ones still twitching. As a seasoned exorcist, Constantine had no pity for creatures of the night.

He had other things on his mind—like the alluring female vampire who had followed Noah in.

They stepped inside the lavish mansion. Luxurious, dimly lit, and reeking of blood and wine. The scene made it obvious—this was a vampire banquet.

"Shame," Noah muttered. "Bad time for a party."

He scanned the elegant room, noting the decadent spread and vintage red wine.

"Wait… didn't the Ancient One seal the 'gate' during her last negotiation with Mephisto? Poor bastards. No escape route now."

In the heart of the mansion, Noah finally caught the one trying to sneak away—Klein.

Leader of the vampire clan. An unlucky soul who had obsessed over Selene for centuries, only to lose her to a human he barely knew.

Now he was cornered. Wand pressed against his throat, Klein didn't dare resist.

"What do you want?" he trembled.

"Nothing much. Just a favor. But tell me, why do you guys have laptops here? That's not normal tech for this time."

Noah's curiosity flared. In his world, such tech wouldn't exist for another decade—unless you were in Tony Stark's lab.

"We may live freely," Klein said cautiously, "but we're cut off from the magical world. We've had to innovate. Work with human scientists. Build our own tech."

"You built it… yourselves?"

"Partially. We studied. We had the time. We had the minds."

Noah scratched his chin. "Impressive. Almost made me reconsider wiping you all out."

The thought didn't last long.

A vampire leader who turned a blind eye to the crimes of his kin? Not worth sparing.

With a flick of his wand, Klein dropped to his knees.

"I've heard vampires have an interesting skill—drink someone's blood, and you can access their memories, right?"

Noah glanced at Selene. That ability fascinated him.

Some vampires had powers that differed by bloodline, and memory absorption was a rare and potent one. Thankfully, it didn't work on magicians—otherwise these parasites might've learned magic themselves.

"Yes," Selene said coldly.

She considered attacking, but the memory of Noah stopping bullets mid-air made her hesitate.

"Drink his blood. I need to know where the Elders are hiding. And if what the Aurors claimed is true—Klein should know."

Noah smiled faintly. "Actually, I know he does. He's the one who exposed Viktor's crimes, after all."

Selene didn't respond. She stepped behind Klein, ignoring his pleading eyes, and sank her fangs into his neck.

As she fed, Noah suppressed a shudder. A brief, unwelcome image flashed in his mind. He pushed it aside and waited.

Selene's eyes closed, her expression darkening as Klein's memories took hold.

It was clear: she had turned against her kind.

"Well," Noah whispered to himself, "maybe it's time for a new kind of vampire."

He smirked. "A female version of Blade… now that would be something."
