Early Afternoon.
Silas, Eric, and Eric's girlfriend, Anna, all sit at an outdoor table, underneath a local restaurant's patio. Their food sits in front of them.
ERIC: Are you nervous bro?
SILAS: Of course not. I've already been talking to her, over a year.
Silas' leg rattles under the table.
ERIC: Then why can't you keep your leg still, bro?
Anna slightly laughs, taking a sip of her smoothie in the process. A woman in the distance catches Silas' eye, stopping him from reacting to Eric's statement.
A large smirk that fights a smile, hitting Silas' face.
SILAS: I think that's her.
Silas stands up, seeing the woman come his way. Eric follows him, standing up as well, with Anna simply turning around in her seat.
The woman approaches them, this woman being Mary. She smiles, her light brown blended hair, making her face appear shy.
MARY: Are you Silas?
Mary directs her focus to Silas. Silas forces his lips to speak.
SILAS: Ye…yes.
Silas' eyes scan Mary from head to toe quickly, and then back to her head. Mary reaches her hand out to him.
MARY: I'm Mary.
A shy smile comes over both Mary and Silas, with the two not saying anything for a moment's passing, afterwards. They simply stare at one another.
ERIC: Well, shall we eat? I think the food is already cold enough.
SILAS: Oh, yeah, sorry about that.
Eric slowly lowers himself back into his seat, Mary takes a seat beside Silas. Silas holds her chair out for her, admiring with his eyes, the brown skin tight dress she wore.
Mary looks up at Silas, from her seat.
Mary: Thank you, my love.
SILAS: With pleasure, my Infinity.
Eric teases Silas.
ERIC: So you two already have pet names for each other? 'My Infinity?'
SILAS: Yes, Eric. Kind of like how Anna calls you-
ERIC: Anyway, Mary, what interests you about my childish big brother?
Mary covers her mouth, having taken a bite of her salad.
MARY: He's sweet.
She finishes her bite.
MARY: The thing Silas says to me, no other has. He's so open minded and caring.
Eric nods in agreement, everyone eating as
ERIC: That he is. I'll give you that.
ANNA: Well, I'm just glad you two are meeting. I know how it feels not being able to be around the one you are in a relationship with.
The group nods in agreement. Mary and Silas lock eyes once again, with Mary deciding to lay on her head, on his shoulder.
