Chapter Fourteen

After the meeting,Ethan received a call from his parent asking him to come home, when Ethan got home his parents started urging him to get married that he wasn't young anymore, Ethan felt overwhelmed by his parents' expectations. Their insistence on him marrying Eva, the girl he had grown up with, weighed heavily on him. He couldn't shake the feeling that they were trying to dictate his life, and in a fit of frustration, he stormed out of their house without telling Clara about the pressure he was facing.

Meanwhile, Clara was left in a panic when her phone died, cutting her off from Ethan. Just as she was starting to worry, Eva arrived, casually mentioning that Ethan wanted to meet her at the Sky Castle Hotel. Confused and hurt that Ethan hadn't reached out to her himself, Clara felt a knot of anxiety in her stomach. She quickly made her way to the hotel, hoping to find Ethan and understand what was going on.

When she arrived, Clara spotted Ethan stumbling into a room, clearly intoxicated and laughing with one of the hotel hostesses. Her heart sank as she followed him inside, fueled by a mix of anger and concern. "Get away from him!" she shouted at the hostess, her voice sharp and commanding. The hostess looked startled, but Clara's focus was solely on Ethan. She needed to confront him about the choices he was making and the secrets he was keeping, determined to find a way to bring clarity to their tumultuous relationship.

As Clara stepped further into the room, ready to confront Ethan, she was taken aback by his sudden shift in behavior. He was laughing and acting as if everything was fine, but then he started to pull at his clothes, declaring, "It's too hot in here!" and making a move to take them off. Clara's heart raced as he reached for her, trying to tug at her shirt, a wild look in his eyes.

"Wait, Ethan! What are you doing?" Clara exclaimed, confusion and alarm flooding her senses. It was then that she noticed something was seriously off. His movements were erratic, and the way he was speaking didn't feel like the Ethan she knew. Panic set in as the realization hit her—Ethan had been spiked. She quickly stepped back, trying to create distance between them while assessing the situation.

"Ethan, you need to stop! This isn't you!" she urged, her voice firm but filled with concern. She had to get him out of this state and away from any potential danger. Clara knew she had to act fast, not just for Ethan's sake, but for her own safety as well.
