Kaito sat calmly at the grand round table, gesturing for the nobles to take their seats. "Feel free to ask any questions you have," he said, his voice steady.
King Eldoria, sitting beside him, spoke up. "Before we proceed, let me clarify something. Kaito is not just the ruler of NeoNexus—he is also its creator."
Murmurs spread through the room. Eleven nations had gathered for this meeting, including Eldoria. Among them was Princess Althea of Eldoria, seated beside Kaito.
A noble from one of the nations raised an eyebrow. "Was that not Princess Althea beside you, from Eldoria?"
King Eldoria nodded. "Yes. And she is engaged to Kaito."
The room grew silent for a moment before another noble spoke. "Where did this absurd amount of land come from? This nation is larger than any other—or even all our nations combined! And how was its construction completed in mere days?"
Kaito answered without hesitation. "Everything here is my creation."
Another noble narrowed his eyes. "Then what about the other mages in this nation? How many do you have? Surely, with so many golems, you must have an army of powerful mages."
Kaito had expected this question. Althea had warned him they would ask after seeing the golems. He responded, "There are no other mages. This entire land, this entire nation, including the golems—you see—they are all my possession. I created them."
A noble suddenly stood up, slamming his hand on the table. "Do you take us for fools? No one can do that! Only a god can create land, control this many golems, or build a nation of this scale! Are you saying you are a god?"
Kaito remained silent for a moment before answering. "No, I am not. But everything I have said is true. And I have called you here to form an alliance."
A different noble scoffed. "You do realize we could simply kill you here and take this land for ourselves?"
Kaito leaned back, unfazed. "If you think you can, you're free to try."
At that moment, Nova, his trusted aide, sent him a telepathic message. One of the nations that refused the meeting is sending its army and mages to wage war against us. They are almost at our borders.
Kaito smirked. "Why don't we see if what I am saying is true?"
Nova projected a large holographic screen into the air, showing the advancing army.
One of the envoys gasped and shouted the name of the invading country: "Dravenheim!"
Tension filled the room as they watched the army of Dravenheim march toward NeoNexus, ready for war.
