In the restaurant, Garett's close friend asked him in Spanish.
"Your mistress on the side is pregnant, and your wife doesn't know yet, right?"
Garett shook his head slightly, his expression unchanged:
"Luna once said, she doesn't tolerate betrayal."
"If she finds out, she'll disappear from my world forever, so I've kept it well hidden."
What he didn't know was that I had not only learned Spanish, but was also planning to leave him.
In another month, I would vanish completely from his world.

Moonlight Fades Away

Garett felt the world spinning, collapsing to the ground as several nannies hoisted him onto the bed.


The faint scent on the sheets made it seem as if Luna was still by his side, never having left.


Tears soaked the pillow as he forced himself not to think about these painful things, yet the image of Luna's tear-stained face refused to leave his mind.


She had known all along what he had done. How had she faced him with that knowledge?


Luna's parents had divorced when she was very young, each starting new families of their own.


Neither parent wanted her during the divorce, seeing her as a burden in their marriage. This became Luna's childhood trauma.


So when they started dating, she had told him, "When I, Luna, love someone, I love with my whole heart. If you're unfaithful and betray me, I'll never look back."


At the time, Garett felt the same way. He thought he would only ever love Luna wholeheartedly, never doing anything to hurt her.
