Two days before Valentine's Day, I discovered a couples' hotel booking on my darling Vivienne's phone.
I was overjoyed, thinking this was a surprise she had planned.
But on the day of the holiday, Vivienne made an excuse about a business trip and didn't come home all night.
It wasn't until the check-in confirmation was mistakenly sent to my phone that I called her with trembling hands.
When the call connected, Vivienne's pure love Draven answered, shirtless and with a disdainful expression.
"She's still in the shower. Why don't you call back later?"
I drove to the hotel like a madman. During our confrontation, Vivienne didn't hesitate to throw a vase at me.
Just before I completely lost consciousness, Draven angrily stomped on my head.
"I wasn't done having fun yet, and you ruined it all, you piece of trash!"

Vivienne called just as I was meticulously arranging the home-cooked meal I'd prepared.
But when I heard she'd be working late and wouldn't make it back, my hands froze, and my heart sank.
"I'm so sorry, baby. I'll make it up to you with a gift, okay? Please don't be mad."
"The company's offering double pay for overtime today, plus other bonuses. I really don't want to miss out."
After regaining my composure, I sighed and replied, "But you promised this morning you'd be home with me. I made all your favorites, you..."
Before I could finish, Vivienne cut me off.
"I've already said I'm sorry. What more do you want? Dane, can't you give me some space? Stop with this attitude all the time, it's annoying."
In the distance, I could hear fireworks and cheers, creating a festive atmosphere.
But all I felt was a chill in my heart. I muttered a terse "fine" and hung up.
All these dishes were Vivienne's favorites, taking me a full three hours to prepare.
I'd put my heart and soul into trying to please her, but now it seemed like it was all for nothing.
A bitter feeling spread through my chest as I sat alone at the table, eating my meal in solitude.
Ten minutes later, my phone rang again. I initially thought it was a message from Vivienne, but when I opened it, it turned out to be a hotel check-in confirmation.
My heart sank. The day before yesterday, I had accidentally discovered a booking for a couples' hotel on Vivienne's phone.
At the time, I thought it was a surprise she had planned, so I didn't say anything.
But now...
I frowned and, with trembling hands, made a video call to Vivienne.
After ringing for about ten times, it finally connected.
But on the other end of the call was the face of Vivienne's first love, Draven.
He was shirtless, looking at me impatiently.
"Vivienne's still in the shower. Call back later."
Behind him was the hotel's large bed, their clothes thrown together in a messy heap.
In disbelief, I questioned him,
"Why are you two together? Don't you know she's married? Do you have any morals at all?"
Hearing this, Draven's lips curled into a cold smirk.
"Morals? Are you out of your mind, Dane? Aren't you the one who couldn't keep his own wife? And now you have the nerve to blame me."
"Besides, a man like you who lives off his wife, how can you even compare to me?" As soon as the words left his mouth, Draven hung up the phone.
I sat in my chair, no longer able to hold back my tears.
