Five minutes later, the car pulled into an upscale neighborhood.
Isadora helped me carry my luggage into the guest room and said with a smile, "You can stay here for now and take your time finding a place. No need to rush."
I nodded and expressed my heartfelt gratitude with a simple "thank you."
"Get some rest, and let me know if you need anything."
After Isadora left, I lay down on the bed and closed my eyes. I'm not sure how long it was before I dozed off again.
In my dream, I was back at the hotel.
Draven was shouting my name angrily, while Vivienne stood beside him, giving me an icy stare.
"No!" I cried out, suddenly sitting up, covered in cold sweat.
"Dane, what's wrong?" Isadora rushed in, her brow furrowing when she saw the tears on my face.
"Did you have a nightmare?"
"Don't be afraid, it was just a dream. You're safe here with me now." I looked at her, feeling my heart gradually calm down.
"Go back to sleep, I'll stay here with you."
