The iron sword delivered the final blow, snuffing out the last flicker of life from the Bison King. With a defiant roar, it collapsed to the ground, its massive body dissolving into a heap of pixels.
"Whoosh!"
A surge of experience points flooded over Jack like a tidal wave, bathing him in golden light. His health bar refilled completely as he leveled up to Level 7!
Ding! System Notification: Congratulations! You have defeated the Bronze-Class Boss [Bison King]. As the first player in the game to achieve this feat, you've earned an additional reward: +10 Free Attribute Points, +1000 Reputation, and a rare item—[Heaven's Blessing Pearl]!
"First kill rewards?!" Jack's eyes lit up like fireworks on the Fourth of July.
Free Attribute Points!
This was exactly what he'd been searching for since day one. He never expected that taking down the first Bronze-Class Boss would hand them to him on a silver platter—or rather, a gilded bison horn.
Ding! System Notification: Would you like to announce your glorious achievement to all adventurers across Tianheng Continent? (Note: After the server-wide announcement, you will receive 10,000 Reputation.)
Ten thousand reputation?!
While Jack wasn't entirely sure how useful reputation was yet, he figured more couldn't hurt. Besides, defeating a Bronze-Class Boss only netted him 1,000 reputation. Clearly, earning it wasn't easy.
"Yes!"
After weighing the pros and cons, Jack caved to temptation faster than someone giving in to free donuts at a Krispy Kreme drive-thru.
Ding! System Notification: Congratulations to Eastern Region player [Yi Jack Shui] for being the first to defeat a Bronze-Class Boss! This is a historic moment!

...
The system broadcasted the message three times, each time with bold, blazing red text so big it practically screamed, "LOOK AT ME!"
Ding! System Notification: Player [Dragon Fights in the Wild] has sent a friend request. Accept?
Ding! System Notification: Player [Moon Palace Bunny] has sent a friend request. Accept?
...
"I knew this would happen..."
Jack sighed, quickly diving into the settings menu to block all incoming friend requests. Only then did the floodgates close, granting him some much-needed peace and quiet.
Naturally, the game had its fair share of drama. Once word got out about his victory, guilds would swarm him with invitations, and no doubt there'd be plenty of players itching to buy whatever loot dropped from the boss.
Speaking of which, Jack wasted no time inspecting the Bison King's spoils. On the ground lay 50 copper coins, two pieces of equipment—a sword and a pair of boots.
Suppressing his excitement, he checked their stats—
[Bullhide Boots] (White Quality) Defense: 2-3 Description: Made from bull leather, these boots are tougher than your average sneakers.
[Bison Sword] (Bronze Quality) Attack: 10-12 Effect: +25% damage against bovine creatures Required Level: 5 Description: A blade infused with the blood of the Bison King. When it comes to slaying cows, this weapon reigns supreme.
"Holy cow!"
Jack stared at the faintly glowing red blade, imagining himself mowing down entire herds like a farmer with a lawnmower. Without hesitation, he swapped out his rusty old iron sword for the shiny new Bison Sword and slipped on the Bullhide Boots. For the first time, he felt like a true newbie village badass—
[Yi Jack Shui] Level: 7 Health: 700 Attack: 22-24 Defense: 13-15 Reputation: 11,000 Luck: 0 Free Attribute Points: 10
...
Still 10 free attribute points left unassigned…
Without missing a beat, Jack dumped all 10 points into attack, boosting his damage output to a whopping 32-34!
"Unstoppable!"
Looking at his character sheet, he gave himself a modest evaluation.
At this point, even if ten Bison Kings showed up, they'd be mincemeat.
