Chapter 16: Secrets of the Gam

The atmosphere in the Venosa Cafe had turned into chaos. The shots that passed near Marco's head made his heart beat faster than ever, while both Franco and Salvo were running around the cafe, trying to dodge the bullets.

"What now?" Salvo shouted, hiding behind a wall, staring at Marco. "Do we have a plan to get out?"

"Not yet!" Marco replied firmly, watching the guards who were moving in an orderly manner in the cafe. "We need to know who's behind this attack. Luca Ferri isn't just an arms dealer, it seems there's something bigger than that."

"Bigger?" Franco said, quickly turning to Marco. "What do you mean bigger?"

Marco took a deep breath, then smiled wryly. "If Luca Ferri is behind all this, he might be planning a bigger surprise. But we don't have time to think about that now. We need to get out."

At that moment, another man entered the café, running quickly. He was carrying a huge bag on his back, his eyes shining with a lot of mystery. This was Nico, who had suddenly disappeared in the last attack.

"Have you heard about the new guards?" Nico said, looking around anxiously. "They're not just a local gang. These are Luca Ferri's men, and they don't stop at anything."

"Yes, we knew." Marco replied dryly, trying to wipe away the blood that was splattering on the walls. "But they won't ruin our plan. We have to find out what Luca is up to."

At that moment, the ground shook beneath their feet, and the sounds of explosions returned to the café, but this time they were louder. Everyone rushed out of the café in a hurry, into the dark alleys that were filled with fog. The streets were empty, as if the city was waiting for something bigger.

"I think we need a better plan, before we pay the price." Nico said, turning to Marco.

"You're right." "But first we have to make sure we have real information about Luca Ferri," Marco said, slamming his fist into the wall. "If he's the one pulling the strings, we're in big trouble."

As they moved through the dark alleys, Nico began to speak in an unfamiliar tone. "I work alone, and I usually don't trust anyone, but you guys are different. I think you can figure out the game."

"The game?" Franco said, smiling. "What game is this? Is it a death game?"

Nico didn't laugh. "You don't understand. Luca Ferri doesn't just want to control the city. He wants to control everything. All the gangs, all the businesses, and even the people who think they're safe."

"If he wants all this, how are we going to stop him?" Salvo said, looking at Nico suspiciously.

"When Luca moves, he can't be stopped easily." Nico said coldly, looking at the ground. "But we can at least track him, and we know where he's hiding."

Marco, who was thinking about Nico's words, raised his hand and said, "But we need a good plan. If we want to reach Luca Ferri, we must be prepared to fight."

While they were talking, no one had noticed that a car was approaching the alley. The sound of its engine was increasing with each second. There was no time to think. Without any warning, the car approached quickly, and the driver suddenly stopped. A large man in military uniform stepped out of it, his eyes filled with anger.

"You're here!" the man said in a low voice, pointing a gun at them.

"The enemy is here!" Franco shouted, running towards the wall. "We must move quickly."

It was a crucial moment. Nico looked at Marco and said, "You need to head to this address." He took out a piece of paper from his bag and handed it to him.

"What does this address mean?" Marco asked as he received the paper.

"This is Luca Ferri's location. Right now, he is somewhere there." "Nobody's going anywhere," Niko said, quickly opening his bag.

Marco quickly read the title, then looked at Niko and said, "Thanks. If we're going to follow this game, we're going to follow it to the end."

But before anyone could make a move, the big man turned towards them and said, "Nobody's going anywhere." He then fired into the air.

The moment was filled with tension. Amidst all these events, Marco and his team knew that this wasn't just a game. It was a real war, and to start that war, they needed to find out who was behind it, and follow every possible lead to get to the bottom of the plot.
