On a quiet morning inside the "Venosa" cafe, Marco was sitting at his usual table with Franco, Salvo, and Colombo, drinking his coffee while listening to Salvo talk about his adventures last night trying to convince the cafe waitress to give him her phone number.
Salvo (proudly): "I almost succeeded this time! She looked at me with a different look, full of admiration."
Franco (sarcastically): "Or full of pity?"
Everyone laughed as Salvo tried to defend himself, but suddenly, Marco's phone rang. He looked at the screen, and suddenly, his features changed into a wide smile full of joy.
Marco (surprised and happy): "Lucchini! What a little rascal! You completely forgot about your uncle, didn't you?"
Lucchini (laughing from the other end): "No, uncle, how could I forget you? I was busy studying, but I have great news for you!"
Marco: "Don't tell me you became a hitman like us!"
Luccini (laughing): "No, I became a doctor! I graduated, and I'm finally going back to Italy."
Marco's voice rose with excitement as he jumped out of his chair, attracting the attention of everyone in the café.
Marco: "This is the best news I've heard in a long time! We have to celebrate! I'm throwing you a huge party!"
Franco (sarcastically): "Party? Venosa is going to go bankrupt because of you."
Marco: "No matter! Luchini is coming, and that's the most important thing!"
A few days later, Luchini arrived in Italy, and the party Marco had organized was bigger than anyone expected. The Venosa Café was packed, the music was loud, and the place was filled with laughter. Salvo was trying to show off his dancing skills, while Colombo was sitting in the corner, watching everyone suspiciously as if he was expecting a cyber attack at any moment.
Marco, holding a glass of wine, stood in the middle of the café, and raised his voice, saying:
Marco: "My friends, we are here today to celebrate the best doctor in Italy, the man who will bring us back to life after every battle we fight! Luchini, welcome among us!"
Luchini (smiling shyly): "Thank you all... but I am a doctor, and I am not sure I am suitable for this kind of party!"
Everyone laughed, but Marco approached him, and put his hand on his shoulder seriously.
Marco: "Luchini, I want you to be part of something bigger. I have broken out from under Zakrota's rule, and have started forming my own gang. I do not want to be a follower anymore, I want to control the game."
Luchini's expression suddenly changed, and he looked at his uncle with concern.
Luchini: "Are you crazy? You know Zakrota will not allow it. You are putting yourself in great danger!"
Marco: "I know, and that is why I need you with me."
Luchini looked around, seeing everyone's faces, some smiling and some looking nervous. He knew his uncle was a stubborn person, and wouldn't back down easily. He sighed, then smiled, saying:
Luchini: "Okay... but on one condition, I'll be the gang's doctor, not a killer."
Marco laughed, and slapped him on the back enthusiastically.
Marco: "Deal!"
The cheers rose, and everyone went back to enjoying the party, but away from all this chaos, there was a mysterious figure standing on the corner of the street, watching the party from afar.
He was wearing a long coat and a hat that hid his features, and next to him was a dead man, lying on the ground covered in his blood.
The man looked at the corpse, then back to the cafe, and smiled coldly.
