It was a wonderful and unforgettable night, everyone laughing and enjoying themselves, and the music was booming throughout Venosa. Luca Ferri's dance with his gun became a legend among the gang, while Lucino was performing a song in misery after Franco ruined his coffee with a flying piece of cheese.
But suddenly, the door of the café swung open violently, and silence fell upon the place. Everyone stood with plates of food, staring at the man who had entered.
He was a large man in black formal clothes, his hair neatly combed, and his sharp eyes scanning the place like a scanner. Next to him was a younger man, but his features carried the same coldness and hardness.
Marco (narrowing his eyes): "Who is this? And why does he look like a villain in mafia movies?"
Salvo (whispering): "I think he's actually a villain..."
The man walked slowly, his deep voice breaking the silence:
"I'm here to meet Marco. I have a message for him."
Marco looked at his companions, then motioned for the man to sit down. But instead of sitting on a regular chair, he pulled out a chair and stood on it, as if he were about to make a historic speech.
The man: "My name is Domenico, and I'm here on behalf of someone you can't ignore..."
Everyone exchanged glances, while Franco said in a low voice:
"If this is a threatening speech, that's fine, we have Luca Ferri, he can throw him out of the cafe with the chair!"
Luca (holding his weapon like a puppet): "I'm ready, just say the word!"
But the man ignored the joke, pulled an elegant envelope from his coat pocket and threw it on the table in front of Marco.
Domenico: "I heard you started your own gang, and this is causing some... problems. My master asks to meet you."
Marco (smiling sarcastically): "Your master? Are we in the Middle Ages?"
Domenico (coldly): "You'll know who he is when you meet him."
He reached into his pocket, causing everyone to quickly put their hands on their weapons, but Domenico pulled out a small card with an address written on it.
Domenico: "Tomorrow at midnight, that's the address. Come alone, or don't come at all."
He then turned towards the door, and before he left, he added with a small smile:
"Oh, and the food here looks great... I'll be back as a customer one day, if you're still alive after this encounter."
The man walked out, leaving behind a tense atmosphere, while everyone remained staring at Marco.
Franco (looking at Marco): "Marco... We have a problem, don't we?"
Marco (sighing as he took a bite of his pizza): "Exactly, but let's face it tomorrow... Now, let's end the party."**
But the truth was clear to everyone: the coming night could be a dangerous turning point in the gang's future.
