Chapter 52: Attack on the Factory

Inside the Venosa Café, the atmosphere was tense. Everyone sat around the large table, Columbo completely absorbed in his screen, while Marco, Franco, Salvo, Luca, and Rocco watched him expectantly.

Columbo (in a mysterious calm): "Well, gentlemen, we found the factory."

Marco (sharply): "And where is it?"

Columbo: "Underground, 20 kilometers from Milan. It's not just a factory, it's a fortified facility."

Franco (sarcastically): "Of course, since we didn't have enough problems, now we have an underground factory as well."

Columbo (smiling): "But I managed to hack the factory's systems... at least partially."

Salvo (curiously): "Partially? What does that mean?"

Columbo: "It means I can control the incomplete robots. The problem is that some of them are still not fully equipped, and some of the bombs haven't been activated yet."

Marco (thoughtfully): "Then we have a chance... If we take over the factory, we can use these bombs against Zacrota."

Luca (excitedly): "Finally! I'll be able to shoot without worrying about wasting ammo!"

Franco (sarcastically): "Luca clearly doesn't need a reason to shoot, he just needs an opportunity."

Columbo: "The plan is simple: I'll program the robots to attack Zacrota's men, while you infiltrate the factory, kill the guards, and take control of the bombs and weapons."

Rocco (laughing): "I heard 'simple', but I didn't hear 'safe'."

Marco (firmly): "There are no safe plans, but this is our only chance. Let's go!"

Inside the underground factory

The gang sneaked through the dark tunnels leading to the factory, the air was filled with the smell of oil and silently running engines. There were armed guards at every corner.

Marco (whispering): "Okay, Luca, you handle the guards at the entrance. Franco and Salvo, you're in charge of disabling the security cameras."

Franco (sarcastically): "Oh, great! I love technology... Someone said that and didn't know the difference between an on and off button."

Salvo (laughing): "Don't worry, I'll do it myself."

Rocco (whispering): "And me?"

Marco: "You're coming with me to the control room to find the bombs."

At that moment, Columbo issues an order through his device, and the half-finished robots start moving. Suddenly, the factory erupts in screams, as the robots turn against Zacrota's men.

One guard (panicked): "What's happening?! The robots are attacking us?!"

Another guard: "This can't be a software bug! We're under cyber attack!"

Taking advantage of the chaos, the gang storms inside.

Inside the Control Room

Marco and Rocco managed to reach the control room where the bombs were stored.

Rocco (looking at the bombs): "I think I've fallen in love with these things!"

Marco (sharply): "Don't get too attached to them, we'll just use them to destroy Zakrota's mansion."

But suddenly, a group of heavily armed Zakrota men appeared, and a fierce battle began inside the room.

One of the men: "You're playing with fire! You won't get out of here alive!"

Rocco (with a crazy smile): "Oh, don't worry, we love fire!"

A fierce exchange of gunfire began, while Franco and Salvo disable the security systems, and Luca takes out the guards outside.

Marco (screaming through the communicator): "Colombo, how are things going for you?"

Columbo (calmly despite the chaos): "I'm controlling the robots like I'm playing PlayStation, but we have a problem... Some systems are still under Zakrota's control, and if he gets them back, we'll be in trouble!"

Marco: "Then we have to hurry!"

The fighting continues inside the factory, and as time passes, the gang manages to take control of the weapons and bombs.

Marco: "Okay, we got the bombs... Now we need to get out before Zakrota realizes what's happening."

But suddenly, a danger alarm goes off in the factory, and red lights start flashing.

Columbo (freaking out): "Oh no... They've found us! We have to get out now!"

Marco: "Everyone move! This war has just begun!"
