Alexandra's POV—
"What the fuck! I am stinking from all this sweat!" yelled Shuren. She wiped the sweat from her forehead and slowed her speed.
Shimran scratched her head as her black was also covered up in sweat.
"Can you please stop complaining? All of us are suffering in this bone-melting heat. So, just be a woman and take it!" yelled Shimran, trying to motivate Shuren with her 'motivating' words.
Shuren flung her hands in the air. "Are you kidding me?! Look at us! And then, look at her! Alex is sweating too but her appearance is not that of a dying mouse! She looks even more enchanting and alluring to my eyes. Whereas, we look like zombies!"
"Ah, Shuren is right. When she was covered with blood, her appearance didn't diminish a bit. Then again, comparing us with her is not right. Out of all of us, she looks akin to an enchantress," said Lia.
"Can we please stop talking about my appearance? Heat is also affecting me!" I rebutted her.
Instead of agreeing with my words, Lia gave me a look full of envy.
"Easy for you to say," mocked Jessie.
I sighed at her words and focused on walking.
"How much more do we have walk? It has been almost three hours! I am famished!" whined Shuren.
Inefficient.
These guys are completely inefficient.
I groaned, "You guys! Please keep your voice as low as possible! Fuck! I... ah, just add another rule in the list."
"What rule?" asked Weslie, innocently.
Annoyed, I replied, "No shouting. No screaming. No complaining. No comment on my appearance. And no more useless comments! Seriously, you guys lack sense of preservation. Trust me, you all are even worse than me."
"Grr...grrrrr....grrr..."
"Grrrrrr... grr..."
"Arrrrggghhh... grrr... grrrr..."
Ten zombies appeared in my view. Blood dripped from their mouths. Each of them had a body part missing. A few of them had holes in their stomachs as their intestines were almost out of their bodies.
"Can we talk about their appearances? They look disgusting!" Jessie gagged in disgust. Others were not looking any better.
I sighed loudly and clapped my hands to attract their attention. "Zombies aren't gonna care about your reactions. All they care about is how good you taste... that is if they can taste 'us.' I mean, do our blood tastes different to them?"
The zombies roared and dashed towards us. My eyes narrowed when I saw them move towards us. They were faster than before. It was as if their legs have somehow developed over this period of time. To develop this much in a week, it's quite perplexing.
I turned my head towards my group and said, "Watch me fight, okay? And note my movements. Jessie and Weslie, prepare yourselves for the combat."
I conjured two daggers in my hands and threw them at two zombies in front of me. Yesterday, I have informed the group about my metal ability.
Creating a sword, I rushed towards a zombie and slashed its head off its body. I turned backwards, and used my momentum to cut another zombie's legs. I was going to kill it but suddenly, a thought entered my head.
I did the same with the other zombies and cut their legs, making them crawl on their hands. The ground was smeared with their dirty blood as they left trails of blood while trying to crawl towards us.
"Shoot them. Use your shotgun, Weslie," I ordered her with a tone of authority.
Weslie flinched at my words as she looked the 'crawling' zombies with fear. Jessie rubbed her sister's shoulders and said, "Alex... it's better if I do it instead. I have some shooting skills."
I shook my head in denial and said, "I asked her, Jessie. But don't worry, your turn will come also. Weslie, shoot it!"
I walked towards her and forced her to lift the shotgun. Aligning its front sight in the accurate direction, I yelled, "Shoot it!"
"I-I am s-scared!" exclaimed Weslie.
'Scared?'
"Are you fucking scared of this zombie? Its legs are missing. There is no way it can scratch you or, kill you. If you don't do anything, then maybe it will kill you." I took a deep breath and grabbed her hand, putting her index finger over the trigger.
I continued, "Pull the trigger, Weslie. Pull it! Or, die by its hands. Look it's almost near. If you don't kill it now, both of you twins will not be able to survive in this apocalypse."
Tears started leaking her eyes as she begged me. "P-please... I-I can't kill..."
I sneered, "Weren't you very enthusiastic before this? You and your sister... both were very enthusiastic and now, you are backing off! Were you acting before?"
"No! I wasn't! I-I t-thought... killing t-them w-would be simple... but now... I d-don't!"
"It's easy! Pull the trigger!"
"No!"
"Pull it!"
"No!"
Weslie closed her eyes and shook her head frantically to show her refusal. Fuck! This isn't going to work!
"PULL IT NOW WESLIE OR IT WILL KILL YOUR SISTER! DO YOU WANT YOUR SISTER TO DIE? IF NOT, THEN KILL IT!"
"AHHHHH!!!!"
*Bang* The gunshot's loud noise entered everyone's ears. Weslie finally shot it after getting stimulated from my words.
Sighing, I released her and patted her shoulder. Weslie was crying loudly. Her entire form was shaking with fear.
'Take care of her.' I looked towards Jessie, giving her a silent signal with my eyes.
