Across the sea, the name Uchiha Madara had already spread like wildfire. The Four Emperors—Kaido, Big Mom, and even the up-and-coming Red-Haired Pirates—were all aware of him now.
Of course, Renzo, who was currently headed for Skypiea, also got wind of it from a News Coo that dropped off the day's newspaper.
"Hahahaha~!"
He burst out laughing as he read the bounty poster. "Now that's what I'm talking about—Lord Madara's making waves even in the One Piece world!"
"If I see him, he better thank me!"
"I basically gave him Dimensional reputation—hahahaha!"
"Maybe I should make a crew with my shadow clones of high-charisma guys. Aizen + Madara + Gojo? Hahaha, that would be hilarious."
...
After a while, he looked around and muttered, "Hmm… this should be Jaya Island."
"So the Sky Island should be floating somewhere above this spot... Might as well just fly straight up!"
Renzo wasn't the type to waste time asking for directions. When you can fly, why bother?
In a flash, he wrapped his body in telekinetic energy and launched himself into the sky like a rocket.
He quickly soared to an altitude of seven or eight thousand meters. With his terrifying sensory abilities, it didn't take long for him to locate the so-called "Heaven's Gate."
After a bit more searching, he also sensed the true Sky Island several kilometers above that.
Then, with a simple thought, he teleported straight to the floating island at 10,000 meters.
"Eh? Who are you, mister?"
A crisp, clear voice called out from below.
He looked down and saw a cute little blonde girl with tiny feathered wings standing there.
"Oh?"
Renzo raised an eyebrow. That face, that hair… could this little girl be Conis?
He gently descended, landing in front of her. Squatting down, he smiled and ruffled her soft golden hair.
"I'm Renzo. What's your name, little one?"
"I'm Conis! My name's Conis, Mister Renzo~!" she said, cheeks flushing red as she looked up at him with big, watery eyes.
"So it's Conis-chan, huh? Why are you out here all by yourself? Where are your mom and dad?"
Renzo chuckled softly.
"Papa went out fishing! Wait—he's back!"
Conis pointed to the white Renzos over the sea nearby.
Fwooooshhh!
Sure enough, a distant roar echoed from the sea as a Waver zipped across the White Sea's surface, driven by a jet Dial.
"Oi! Oi!!!"
"Conis-chan! Daddy's back!!!"
With his enhanced vision, Renzo could clearly see the young man riding the Waver from several hundred meters away. He was waving at the girl on shore, smiling warmly.
There was even a fish basket trailing behind him.
"Papa!"
Conis giggled and ran toward the shore, waving back at her father.
Her dad reached the shore moments later and scooped her up with a big hug, planting a kiss on her cheek.
Then, he turned to look at Renzo. He paid extra attention to his back—maybe looking for wings—but still smiled and greeted him.
"Hello there! I'm this little one's father. You must be from the Blue Sea, right? Welcome to Skypiea! Konnichiwa!!"
Renzo smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I just came up from the Blue Sea. By the way, could you tell me where Bika Island is?"
He'd already scanned the entire Sky Island with his spiritual senses upon arrival—no sign of Enel.
In the original story, Gan Fall mentioned that Enel had been ruling Skypiea for about six years by the time Luffy and crew got there.
But this was still the year 1513 in the Sea Calendar, so there were 8 to 9 years left before Luffy even set out.
So it made sense that Enel wasn't here yet.
"Oh?"
Conis's dad looked a little surprised. "Sounds like this isn't your first time visiting the Sky Islands."
"As for Bika… I heard a few days ago it was destroyed by some guy named Enel."
He paused, then added with a slightly awkward tone, "Did you have friends there? If so… I'm really sorry."
Almost everyone from Bika had perished.
"Oh, no worries."
Renzo waved his hand with a smile. "I'm actually looking for Enel himself. Any clue where he is now?"
Just as he thought—Enel hadn't reached this island yet.
"Eh?!"
Conis's dad instantly panicked, waving his hands in warning. "You're looking for that guy? No no no! He's seriously dangerous! I really wouldn't recommend going after him!"
He leaned in a bit and lowered his voice. "Word is, he controls lightning. Some folks are even calling him a god!"
"For your own safety, kid, just let it go. Don't mess with someone like that."
He was clearly a kind and well-meaning man.
Renzo just glanced up at the distant sky, then gave a soft smile. He didn't argue or explain. Instead, he gently patted Conis on the head again and quietly placed a sealing spell on her while she wasn't aware.
Then he waved his hand and said goodbye to the father and daughter with a casual grin. "No need to worry about my safety. Take care! See ya, Conis-chan! And you too, mister!"
With that, Renzo shot into the air, flying off in the direction where he'd sensed Enel.
"Huh?!"
Conis' dad was stunned watching him fly, blinking in disbelief.
"No wonder he's not afraid of Enel... he's the real deal. Yeah... if he didn't have serious skills, there's no way he could've made it up to Sky Island so easily."
He smiled and waved. "Take care, young man!"
He actually had a good impression of Renzo — polite, humble, and nothing like the usual rowdy types from the Blue Sea.
"Bye-bye, handsome big bro~!" Conis also waved happily from his arms, beaming.
"Later!" Renzo's voice echoed faintly in the distance as he flew away.
---
A few minutes later…
"Greetings, young man from the Blue Sea. I am the overseer of this Sky Island — though people here tend to call me God. My name is Gan Fall. Would you mind telling me the purpose of your visit?"
Standing opposite Renzo was an older man in armor that looked like something out of medieval Europe. He was riding a strange-looking bird-horse hybrid and holding a long lance. His tone was serious but polite.
"God, huh?"
Renzo floated in mid-air, about seven or eight meters from Gan Fall, arms crossed, a smirk tugging at his lips as he sized the man up. "That's a pretty bold title. I'm Renzo — from the Blue Sea, as you guessed."
"I'm looking for a guy named Enel. Thought I'd also pick up some Sky Island specialties while I'm here. Got any useful info, old man?"
He couldn't help but wonder why everyone up here seemed obsessed with calling themselves 'gods.' Clearly, they had never been smacked around by someone stronger.
"Oh?"
Gan Fall didn't seem offended by Renzo's tone. Instead, he cleared his throat and said with a hint of embarrassment: "Cough, cough... the whole 'god' thing is more like a nickname the islanders gave me. I'm not a big fan of it either, but... well, tradition is hard to change."
"As for Enel… you're talking about the guy who destroyed Birka Island, right?"
Renzo nodded. "That's the one. So you do know him. Any idea where he is now?"
Gan Fall didn't reject the question outright. Instead, he asked one of his own: "I might tell you… but first, could you explain why you're looking for Enel?"
"That man's incredibly powerful. He's eaten the Rumble-Rumble Fruit — controls lightning, and he's done plenty of awful things. He's no saint, that's for sure."
If Renzo was planning to join Enel or help him, Gan Fall wouldn't just stay quiet — he'd try to stop him then and there.
Enel's power was already a serious threat; the last thing Sky Island needed was a Blue Sea powerhouse adding fuel to that fire.
"I'm here for that lightning fruit he ate," Renzo said with a calm grin.
"Eh?" Gan Fall blinked, caught off guard. "But… he already ate the Devil Fruit. You can't exactly take it from him, can you?"
"I have my ways," Renzo replied mysteriously, shaking his head with a chuckle. "Just tell me where he is. If all goes well, I'll deal with that future danger for your Sky Island. Sound like a deal?"
Gan Fall gave Renzo a long, thoughtful look… then nodded slowly. "Alright. I'll tell you. Just... please, don't make things worse. And be careful, will you?"
He proceeded to share Enel's current location.
Apparently, Enel hadn't moved far from the ruins of Birka. He was still nearby, gathering forces and training, likely preparing for something big.
"Thanks, old man. Appreciate the help." Renzo smiled as he turned to leave. "Once I'm done, I'll come back and buy a bunch of dials and stuff. Hope you can lend me a hand then!"
With that, he shot off into the sky, headed straight for his target.
