powerscaling

if you wanna skip the ramble just go to the very end and you'll see my quick and easy opinion

i guess I'll explain powerscaling to you guys cause in all seriousness, just the word powerscaling itself is extremely contradictory

i personally think each fictional universe has its different power scaling or universal barriers they can't bypass

we'll use Dragon ball for example cause goku can literally blow a universe away with a single punch but they don't show it. he isn't able to tear through space or break time barriers or revive people without external help, sure he can probably rewind time and tear through space with his speed by flying but he can't directly use anything that can immediately do that, for example skills, his instant transmission, Kamehameha or his transformations. it doesn't show any extremely abnormal stuff like blasting away planets with a single ki blast because that wouldn't be any fun, no one would just wanna see a guy destroying universes just cause he could.

it's the same concept with GOH or one punch man or even marvel, we have OAA, Saitama and plenty of other gods or antagonists in their universe that hasn't appeared yet but they don't show anything that isn't apart of their character template. Let's use some of the ancient gods like Death, living tribunal, they're able to use reality altering skills because it's originally apart of their power, they can destroy universes and planets even entire timelines with a wave of their metaphorical hand and if you put goku in their universe he'd be instantly erased, they can exert power they're made for but they will most likely not show it cause its a hard concept to believe in, goku moves at multiple times the speed of light yet we can still see him because it's fiction.

each fictional universe has a metaphysical limit I think they cannot bypass unless they were made for because like I said before goku can faster than the speed of light but we'd be able to see him cause he's animated or drawn, we don't see OAA or celestial gods casually erasing universes in the comics or movies, it's not that they don't want to but fiction limits abilites regardless of how powerful they actually are.

people think Saitama vs goku is a valid fight but if it was cosmic garou vs goku, garou would be wiped in less than a second but Saitama takes multiple hours and even goes back into time to stop the fight before it even happened.

I'm just saying powerscale is a bullshit concept because fiction limits any power coming from fictional characters period

powerscale itself is a bullshit theory cause fiction is fiction, it can't become reality, we don't have gods or saiyans, sure the creators said this or that but I just think powerscaling is bullshit in itself
