Mori himself was completely taken aback. He hadn't expected to reach the Recoilless state until he had at least mastered four martial arts. He muttered under his breath as he recalled his training, "This talent is so unfair..."
Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and before he knew it, two years had passed. Every single day, he devoted himself to the practice of Recoilless Re-Taekwondo, refining each technique until they became second nature. His training was relentless, pushing his body beyond its limits and forcing himself to adapt. It wasn't just Taekwondo that he had mastered—he had expanded his knowledge, delving into other forms of martial arts to further enhance his combat ability.
One early morning, as the sun began to rise, Mori stood at the edge of a hill, gazing at the vast sky that stretched endlessly before him. He exhaled deeply before calling out a single word.
"Status."
A translucent blue screen appeared before him.
[Mori Jin]

[Geundoowun: Can summon lightning to strike enemies, able to be used for transportation. All aspects of Geundoowun are based on how strong you are.]
Mori stared at the screen for a moment before nodding in satisfaction. "Looks like all that demon hunting helped a lot in the end," he muttered. His gaze turned toward the horizon, the golden hues of the sun illuminating his sharp features.
"Two years since I started training. I've mastered multiple martial arts and I'm almost at Jin Taejin's level of mastery. I finally learned a proper staff technique too, so the Imitation Yeoui won't be completely useless anymore. Now, I can fly on Geundoowun and use wide-area attacks with it. I guess I'm as ready as ever for the Final Selection today."
Over the past two years, he had trained relentlessly, barely allowing himself time to rest. Even with his upgraded Stone Monkey Body, the strain of performing Renewal Taekwondo at full capacity was difficult to bear without the proper conditioning. It had taken time, but his body had adapted to the intense physical demands.
Mori had also taken the time to train his sisters, teaching them Kyokushin Karate and Wolgwang Swordsmanship. He had no intention of letting them die as easily as they did in the original timeline. They needed to be stronger. They needed to survive.
During his training, he had fought countless demons, using them as practice dummies to sharpen his skills. He had lost count of how many he had killed. Yet, despite all his progress, he still found room for improvement.
"I should get Nichirin attachments made for my staff and feet," he mumbled, his thoughts already drifting toward potential upgrades for his arsenal.
Without another word, he turned on his heel and made his way toward the Final Selection grounds.
Somewhere Distant~
Far away, within the hidden estate of the Ubuyashiki clan, a quiet voice spoke.
"I see. Today is the day he becomes a Demon Slayer, isn't it?" Kagaya Ubuyashiki mused softly, his expression serene yet contemplative. "That child is extremely strong. I hope he will be able to end the demons once and for all..."
Final Selection Exam Site~
The towering stairs leading to the Final Selection grounds were as daunting as ever, but Mori ascended them with ease. As he reached the top, he was met with a shrine-like area. The gathering of potential Demon Slayers was already forming—dozens of individuals, some young, some older, each carrying a sword at their side.
Some of them looked determined. Others looked nervous. A few bore scars, remnants of past battles that had shaped them into warriors.
Mori adjusted his Green Eye Mask before turning his gaze toward the vast forest behind the shrine. Activating his Fiery Eyes, his vision sharpened, allowing him to see through the dense Wisteria trees. He could see everything—the layout of the land, the creatures lurking within, and even the movements of the demons waiting for their prey.
(Similar to a certain cough white haired man with blue eyes cough)
Satisfied, he lowered his mask and casually walked over to a tree at the edge of the area. With a slight smirk, he reached into his inventory and pulled out a soft pillow. Plopping down against the tree trunk, he leaned back, sighing in contentment before closing his eyes.
The system had been generous enough to provide him with familiar items from his previous world—pillows, blankets, food, drinks, and other casual comforts. It made everyday life more tolerable, even in this dangerous world.
A few minutes passed, and soon, he was lightly snoring, a comically large bubble forming at his nose as he fell into a deep sleep.
About an hour later, the shrine grounds had become even more crowded. Approximately fifty candidates had gathered, ranging from young boys and girls to seasoned-looking teenagers.
One particularly large teen, covered in scars and exuding arrogance, was making his presence known. He had been shoving and taunting weaker participants, asserting dominance through intimidation. Eventually, his eyes landed on Mori, who was still sleeping peacefully against the tree.
His brow twitched in irritation.
With an annoyed grunt, he stomped over to Mori and delivered a light kick to his leg.
"Hey, wake up, you little brat!" he snapped.
Mori continued snoring.
The teen's irritation grew, and his voice rose in anger. "You think this is a joke?!?" he roared before throwing a punch directly at Mori's face.
Just as the fist was about to connect, Mori's hand shot up, grabbing it effortlessly. His grip was firm but relaxed, as if holding back an incredible amount of strength. He let out a lazy yawn before rubbing his eyes beneath the mask.
"Huh...? Did the Final Selection start already?" he mumbled groggily.
The teen's face twisted in rage, but before he could react, Mori disappeared from view.
A split second later, three rapid kicks landed on the side of his head—first from the left, then the right, and finally from behind. The force of the blows sent the teen crumbling to the ground, completely unconscious before he even realized what had happened.
Mori stretched his arms, sighing. "Good thing I learned to control my strength," he muttered to himself. "Would've been a pain if I accidentally killed him."
Shaking his head, he tucked his pillow back into his inventory and leaned against the tree once more.
Thirty minutes later, two small figures emerged from the Wisteria trees. two girls with black hair and white hair stepped forward, bowing respectfully to the assembled candidates.
"Welcome to the Final Selection, dear trainees," one of the girls announced in a calm, emotionless tone.
"To pass the trial, you must survive in the forest behind us for seven days," the girl continued. "Whether you choose to kill demons or simply endure is entirely up to you."
They bowed once more before stepping back into the trees, disappearing just as quickly as they had arrived.
The moment they were gone, the candidates surged forward, racing into the forest. Some were eager, others hesitant, but all of them knew that their survival depended on their actions in the next seven days.
Mori remained where he was for a moment, watching the others disappear into the dense forest.
With a small smirk, he cracked his neck and stretched his limbs before leisurely making his way inside.
"Let's see how many demons I can take down this time."

for clarification, Mori Jin is constantly wearing the green eye mask over his face, similar a man with white hair and blue eyes because his "Fiery Eyes" is basically a passive and the eye mask restricts a lot of its aspects basically training his "Fiery Eyes" and letting him live with normal eyesight without hurting himself since his body isn't strong enough yet nor is he able to control it
