Nicholina felt the air leave her lungs as the two men turned their gaze towards her.she suddenly felt uncomfortable especially with Rhealphel's expressionless face. Swallowing hard she immediately slowed her pace looking everywhere but the two men's direction.
Turning his gaze towards the smiling Rayson, Rheaphel couldn't help but scoff, why should Rayson be looking at his wife with so much admiration. "Don't you have anything doing at this moment? "Rheaphel asked. Finally turning his gaze towards Rheaphel he replied "well what I have to do can wait,I really have to have this lunch with your beautiful wife" smiling widely he turned his gaze towards Nicholina again oblivious of the annoyed Rhealphel.
Nicholina bowed slightly towards Rheaphel and Rayson, swallowing hard as she observed the look on Rhealphel's face. Did she do anything wrong? She wondered. Sitting across the two men she wondered who the other man was. Unlike Rhealphel he wore a huge smile on his face that could crack in any moment.
Observing the garden she couldn't help but smile,it was very beautiful. This place would definitely be where she would spend most of her time and maybe the library,If only they had one. Turning her gaze towards Rayson she returned his smile oblivious of Rhealphel's eyes throwing daggers at them.
Lunch was a lavish spread of delicious dishes and delicacies each bursting with flavor. Not wanting to spend much time with Rheaphel and Rayson since they made her uncomfortable and also feeling exhausted and wanting to continue with her nap. Nicholina focused solely on her food not paying much attention to the man observing her with a keen unreadable expression.
Finishing her meal Nicholina headed for her chambers her breathing slowing as she felt more and more relieved. Being around Rheaphel was something she really have to get used to. They were married after all and she had duties to fulfill.
Allowing herself to fall on her bed she closed her eyes trying to go back to sleep but it seemed sleep wasn't coming, she was exhausted, very exhausted but she couldn't bring herself to sleep. Opening her eyes her mind wandered back to the time she was a carefree princess, she was always happy her smile was vibrant and she didn't have to worry about anything. Yet now she was a queen,an unprepared one,who had no idea what it was like to be a queen.
She would probably have to produce a heir.
Sighing softly she decided it was time to go out and explore. Maybe the garden,or maybe not she decided against it,she still wasn't sure if the king was no more there. The garden was grand yet she didn't want to risk it,he was still the last person she wanted to see, granted to how he made her stiff and frozen in place she sure wasn't going to try.
Not knowing her personal guards and servants and not wanting to be guarded around. Nicholina walked on her own,not really knowing where she was going, she walked through the corridors turning when there was a place to turn towards and wandering around. She accidentally bumped into a hard chiseled chest. Rubbing her forehead to soothe the throbbing pain, she felt a figure towering over her, looking up,her breath hitched. The person she was trying to avoid encountering was right in front of her and holding her.
"I..I didn't... am sorry" she quickly apologized feeling embarrassed. Looking down Nicholina tried to walk pass him but was stopped by a firm grip on her waist. Her already thumping heart dropped to her stomach. Why was he stopping her? Did she do anything to annoy him? Raising her head so she could see his face she saw a slight smirk playing on his lips. Looking at him she fell in a daze.
"Why is my lady in such a rush"? His deep baritone voice snapped her out of her daze, was she staring again? Her face flushed. She always found herself staring at him,and no matter how she told herself to stop, she couldn't....."l wanted to look around for a bit" Nicholina replied. Not recieving any more questions she tried to move but she felt the hand around her tighten. Feeling slightly annoyed she shot him a glare.why was he stopping her again and not saying anything?
Sensing her annoyance,Rheaphel felt amused. His once shy and nervous wife was now annoyed and shooting glares at him. "It seems my lady doesn't enjoy his highness Company, doesn't she?" He stared intently at her observing her every reaction. Startled by the question she looked up at him wondering of he was joking. Of course she didn't like his company because any time he was around her,she either embarrassed herself or stared at him,but how could she say it? "Not at all,his highness seems to be busy, and I wouldn't like to bother him"she replied with a forced smile.
Raising a brow,he chuckled, she was really good with her words. How long have they been married for her to say he seemed to be busy he wondered. "If that's the case,I hope my lady wouldn't mind escorting me to the garden tonight?".
