Chapter 7: The Real Training Begins
Ryo was still in shock from the awakening of his power. He stared at his hands, feeling that something inside him had changed. But he still didn't know exactly what this power was or how to use it.
The Minister of the Nation descended from the sand dune, his sharp gaze and faint smile giving the impression that he had foreseen everything. His dark armor gleamed under the moonlight.
He looked directly at Ryo and said,
"You've finally awakened your power. But this is only the first step. From now on, you must learn how to use it."
Ryo swallowed hard. He still couldn't believe what had just happened. The other students stared at him, their faces filled with astonishment.
Kazuki frowned and muttered,
"How is this possible? He was always the weakest among us."
Aya, still shaken, whispered,
"So… he has a power too. Does that mean all of us will awaken ours one day?"
The Minister took a few steps closer and stood just in front of Ryo. His voice was calm yet powerful:
"Your powers come from the King of the Dark Nation. All of you have the potential to one day reach his level, but each of your paths will be different. Some will awaken their powers sooner, others later."
Then, he locked eyes with Ryo.
"You have awakened your power later than the others. But that does not mean you cannot become the strongest."
Ryo felt his heartbeat quicken. He had always thought of himself as the weakest in the group, but now… maybe there was a chance to change that.
The Minister clasped his hands behind his back and continued in a firm tone:
"Your real training begins now. From this moment on, you are no longer just students summoned from another world. You are princes and princesses of the Dark Nation—heirs to its power and future."
The students exchanged glances. This responsibility was far greater than they had imagined.
But for the first time, Ryo felt that maybe—just maybe—he could become something more than just the weakest among them.
