Sadly, I am now 5 years old, and as you can guess, I'm attending a magic school. I've started learning new things, one of which is the levels of magic. Magic is divided into 7 levels:
1. Beginner Level: These have a very small amount of mana, and the spells they know are simple.
2. Intermediate Level: People at this level have more developed mana but still know limited spells.
3. Advanced Level: Their magic is more complex, and their attacks usually cover a wide area. Unlike the previous levels, this level can use silent magic.
4. Saint Level: Mana levels increase significantly, and their magic is so powerful that it can affect the air around them.
5. King Level: The area they can influence surpasses the Saint level.
6. Emperor Level: These people barely have any mana issues, and the areas they affect are even larger than the King level.
7. Divine Level: They never run out of mana and can influence an area as large as a continent.
Apart from these levels, magic is categorized into four main elements: water, fire, healing, and air. Learning about these was… boring, just like in the real world.

Meanwhile, my sister Eris chose the sword division. She also wants to become a great adventurer. I don't know much about the sword division, and honestly, I don't ask Eris about it.
Speaking of which, it reminds me of my classmates. Everyone has a buddy, right? Mine is Hikaru. If I had to describe him, he's the class clown—the type of guy who keeps the mood light. Since both of his parents are mages, he chose the magic division.
Then there's Yumi. We get along well too. She acts like a total airhead, but I think she's smarter than she lets on. Still, I doubt I'll remember much about any of them. We're only 5 years old, and chances are we'll all go our separate ways as we grow up.

Our protagonist, Lorien, continued attending school and improving in magic. But he wanted to learn something that would make him stand out. Not just at school, but at home, too. One evening, during dinner, he decided to talk to his mother about it.
Lorien: "Mom, can you teach me magic at home?"
Liana: "But son, I have duties in my party that I need to take care of."
Lorien: "Please, Mom! I really want to learn!"
Liana: sighs "Alright, but only on certain days."
Lorien: "YAAAY!"
Eris: "If Mom is teaching Lorien magic, then Dad should teach me how to use a sword. Right, Dad?"
Darius: deep sigh "Alright, sweetheart, but only on certain days as well."
Eris: "Thank you, Daddy!"
And so, another evening ended like that.
---
A week passed since that conversation, and we started training. But something felt off. It's like a piece of a puzzle was missing. What am I doing wrong that I can't improve? I need to think about this. Anyway, it's almost time for my training with Mom. I'll ask her about it. She'll give me the answer, and I'll complete this puzzle.
When the training time arrived:
Lorien: "Hey Mom, can I ask you something?"
Liana: "Of course, son. What is it?"
Lorien: "No matter how much I train, it doesn't seem to work. I'm starting to get scared. What if I can't become a successful adventurer? What do you think I should do?"
Liana: "You have to believe, silly boy of mine. Believe."
Lorien: "What do you mean? Just believing isn't enough!"
Liana: "Of course, it's not enough, son. But if you believe, it means you're already putting in the effort. And son, when I look at you, I see you're working hard enough. It's just… you want results too fast, and you don't fully believe in yourself."
Lorien: "No, Mom, I do believe in myself!"
Liana: "Then why did you say you were scared? Why are you worried? Why aren't you calm? Tell me. Don't pretend to believe when you don't! You have to truly believe in your heart."
Lorien: "Alright, Mom, I'll think about it."
Huh? That conversation left a strange impact on me. Then again, I haven't had a face-to-face conversation with anyone for the past 10 years, so maybe her calling me "silly" had an effect. But she's right… Maybe I don't truly believe in myself. And I need to be patient. You should always listen to the experts, after all.
After that, I continued my training.
---
Now that I think about it, I need to be different. I believe in myself, and I'm patient, but what if I stand out by learning silent magic early? Is it impossible? I don't think so. I should ask Mom about this today.
Lorien: "Mom, can you teach me only silent magic?"
Liana: with a strange expression "You can't. Don't even think about it at this age."
Huh? Is it illegal for kids to use silent magic at this age?
Lorien: "W-Why not?"
Liana: "It's simple. You're too young to do it. I looked at you like that because I found your request odd, not because there's anything scary about it."
Lorien: "I can learn, Mom! Trust me!"
Liana: "You can't, and that's final. Now, let's focus on today's lesson—healing magic..."
---
Meanwhile, with Eris and Darius:
Eris: "Dad, when will you let me take the level test?"
Darius: "I want you to take it with your brother. So, we need to ask him too."
Eris: "Alright, fair enough. I'll ask him tonight."
Darius: "Work hard. I want you to reach level 2. Tell your brother, too."
When dinner came:
Eris: "Lorien, are you going to take the level test?"
Lorien: "Huh? What's that?"
Eris: "It's a test to level up in magic or swordsmanship."
OH MY GOSH, THIS IS AMAZING! I need to take this test. Just like in games… You level up when you achieve something.
Lorien: "I'm in!"
Eris: "Alright, you've got two weeks to prepare. Let's see what you've got!"
Lorien: "Don't hype me up and then slack off yourself! You better work hard too!"
But why didn't Mom tell me about this? Does she think I can't do it? Nah, she probably trusts me… right? Or maybe I'm terrible, and she didn't tell me because she doesn't trust me? Oh no, she definitely doesn't trust me… Just like with the silent magic thing…
