The Aftermath

The cold wind blew through the now-ruined Iron Serpents' hideout, carrying with it the scent of death. Blood was splattered across the walls, the floor, and even the ceiling, painting a grotesque portrait of carnage. The Kurokawa Metropolitan Bureau's lead detectives — Mikaela and Ryuji — stood at the entrance, surveying the scene with hardened eyes. This was no ordinary gang massacre. It was a slaughter.

"Goddamn," Ryuji muttered under his breath, stepping carefully over the dismembered remains of one of the Serpents. "It's like she was toying with them."

Yuriko, their police chief, kept her expression steely, though her jaw was clenched tight. She had seen many things in her time, but this… this was different. Every corpse was mutilated in a unique, horrific way. Each one seemed to tell a story of its own, a message left by the perpetrator.

"She didn't just kill them," Mikaela said softly, kneeling beside one of the bodies. His throat was torn open, likely by Kairi's bare hands. His face, frozen in a mask of terror, still bled from where his eyes had been gouged out. "She made sure they suffered."

Yuriko nodded, her sharp gaze taking in every detail. "This isn't just about eliminating her enemies. She enjoyed this."

They moved further into the hideout, careful not to step on the scattered remains. Each victim had been killed in a way more gruesome than the last. One Serpent had been impaled on a steel pipe, his intestines spilling onto the floor like serpents themselves. Another had been strung up by his own entrails, his body swaying gently as if mocking the living.

"How could one person do all this?" Ryuji asked, his voice tight with disbelief. "She's not human… she's a monster."

Mikaela rose from the body she had been examining, her face pale. "This was all done by hand. No weapons. She… tore them apart."

Yuriko stopped in front of what was once the Iron Serpents' leader, Brick Thorne. His massive body lay on the floor, nearly unrecognizable. His skull had been caved in with such force that his brain matter was smeared across the floor. His arms were twisted at unnatural angles, his bones shattered to the point that his limbs were more like broken sticks than human appendages.

"She took down the strongest of them," Yuriko said, her voice grim. "And she didn't stop there. This… this is something else. She's not just a killer. She's sending a message."

Ryuji knelt beside Brick's corpse, his fingers brushing over the bloody remains of the man's katana, the blade snapped in two. "He fought back," Ryuji said quietly. "But she overpowered him."

Yuriko's eyes darkened. "No one fights Kairi Saigeru and lives."

Mikaela's voice trembled as she spoke. "The Pacifist, huh? What kind of monster takes a name like that while doing… this?"

A heavy silence settled over them. Outside, the sirens of the remaining police cars echoed in the distance, but inside the hideout, the only sound was the drip of blood hitting the floor.

Yuriko glanced toward the back room, where one of their rookie officers had been found barely clinging to life. "He's lucky she didn't finish him."

Ryuji clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white. "What's the plan, Chief? We're not equipped to deal with someone like her. She's playing with us."

Yuriko's gaze hardened. "We have to be smarter than her. She wants to provoke us, to make us chase her down like fools. But we won't fall into that trap."

Mikaela looked toward the doorway, where the dim light of dawn was beginning to creep in. "She's out there… watching, waiting."

"She'll slip up," Yuriko said with icy determination. "And when she does, we'll be ready."

The air felt thick with tension, each detective lost in their thoughts as they surveyed the massacre one last time. There was no mistaking it—Kairi Saigeru wasn't just a murderer. She was a force of nature, a storm that destroyed everything in its path. And now, the Kurokawa Metropolitan Bureau was caught in her wake.

As they exited the hideout, Mikaela spoke again, her voice soft but steady. "If we don't stop her soon, it won't just be the gangs she's after. It'll be us next."

Yuriko's eyes flickered with something unreadable—fear, maybe, or perhaps something deeper. "Let her come," she whispered. "We'll see who's left standing when the dust settles."

But in the pit of their stomachs, all three detectives knew the truth. Kairi Saigeru was unlike anything they had ever faced before. And stopping her… might just be impossible.

Yuriko Matsunaga stepped out of the Iron Serpents' hideout, the dawn's first light casting a pale glow over the blood-soaked ground. Her hand clenched into a fist at her side, and her jaw tightened, the weight of the carnage inside pressing heavily on her mind. She paused just outside the entrance, inhaling deeply as she took in the cool morning air, trying to dispel the anger simmering beneath her composed exterior.

Pacifist. The name echoed mockingly in her thoughts.

"City-wide threat? That would've been a goddamn luxury," she muttered to herself, her lips curled into a tight sneer. Yuriko's hands found their way to her hips as she looked over the scene again, fury flashing in her eyes. "This isn't just about one city anymore... If we don't end this now, she'll become a country-wide problem. No, global if she wants to be."

Her fingers twitched, itching for action. The notorious Iron Serpents—once an indomitable gang that caused fear and chaos in Kurokawa—had been obliterated in a matter of hours. No one had ever done something like this. Kairi Saigeru had turned what should've been a major victory for the city into something far more sinister.

She wasn't just playing with the gangs now. She was taunting them. The police. The entire system.

Yuriko closed her eyes briefly, trying to calm her pulse. Stay focused. You'll get your chance.

But beneath her calm exterior, the chief's blood boiled. She knew what this meant. Kairi was no longer just a serial killer taking down small-time gangs. If left unchecked, this chaos would spill far beyond the boundaries of Kurokawa. And I won't let that happen.

One of the junior officers rushed toward her, his steps quick but unsure. "Chief Matsunaga, we've cleared the perimeter. Should we—"

"Enough," Yuriko cut him off, her voice sharp but controlled. She didn't even look at him, her gaze fixated on the horizon as if trying to predict where Kairi might strike next. "We're dealing with a monster, not a common thug. Secure the area, lock it down, and get your men out of here."

The officer nodded quickly but hesitated. "Are you alright, Chief?"

Yuriko's dark eyes flicked toward him, the barest hint of a smile playing on her lips—a smile devoid of warmth. "I'll be alright when I have my hands wrapped around her throat."

The officer swallowed, nodding stiffly before jogging away. She turned her attention back to the scene, her mind already running through strategies, through options. But none of them seemed good enough. None of them had the edge needed to stop someone like Kairi.

She sighed deeply, the weight of leadership pressing down on her shoulders. She had to remain calm, collected. Now wasn't the time for reckless decisions.

But she could feel it—the slow burn of rage deep inside her. The desire to take this personally, to hunt Kairi down herself. If it comes to that, she thought, I'll make sure it's me who finishes this. I'll make sure she knows exactly who brought her down.

Yuriko glanced back at the hideout one last time, her lips curling in disdain. "You think you're untouchable, don't you? Killing men like they're insects beneath your heel…" She paused, her expression hardening. "Enjoy your games while you can, 'Pacifist.' When the time comes, I'll be the one who puts an end to this."

She squared her shoulders, exhaling a deep breath, and walked toward her patrol car. But in her heart, the decision was already made. She would be patient. She would wait. But when the time was right… Yuriko Matsunaga would take matters into her own hands. And Kairi Saigeru would finally meet her match.

Ryuji and Mikaela would walk over to Yuriko, as they were worried about her wellbeing.

Ryuji: (stern voice, serious) "Let's make sure to tell everyone to head back to the hotel.."

Yuriko would clear her throat, teasing Ryuji a bit before turning over to the rest of the Kurokawa Metropolitan Bureau.

Ryuji and Mikaela approached Yuriko, their concern evident but unspoken. The tension in the air was palpable.

Ryuji: (voice steady, eyes scanning the area) "Let's make sure everyone is accounted for. We need to regroup and head back to the hotel. No stragglers."

Mikaela: (sidling closer to Ryuji, her tone lighter but still serious) "You know, you always get this look on your face when things get intense. It's kind of cute."

Ryuji: (smirking without breaking his focus) "Someone has to keep you in check. Can't have you wandering off again."

Mikaela: (grinning, leaning in) "Me? Wander off? I thought I was the one who had to keep you from diving headfirst into trouble."

Ryuji: (glancing at her, the corner of his mouth twitching in amusement) "Let's not argue about who pulls who out of danger more often, Mikaela. We both know I win."

Mikaela: (teasing, but her eyes glint with intensity) "Only because I let you."

Yuriko shifts her weight, her eyes moving between the two. She clears her throat, breaking the quiet tension, though she couldn't help but smirk at the exchange.

Yuriko: (playfully) "You two need a room, or should I leave you to your… 'strategic discussion'?"

Ryuji: (composed but with a playful edge) "We're strategizing, Yuriko. This is what we do."

Mikaela: (winks at Yuriko, then turns back to Ryuji, lowering her voice just enough) "If you call this strategizing, I'm in. But how about we make sure everyone's safe first?"

Ryuji: (sighs, giving a slight nod) "Fine. Everyone, gather up! We head back to the hotel in five. I want everyone rested and ready for tomorrow—no exceptions."

Mikaela: (with a grin, leaning in as she starts to walk away) "I'll make sure no one's breaking curfew, including you."

Ryuji: (watching her go, his voice low, but amused) "I'll hold you to that."

As the Kurokawa Metropolitan Bureau was finally heading over to the Crimson Lotus Hotel again for the night, We would see Kairi Saigeru staring down at them from the rooftop of the other building before deadpanning.

Kairi: (Sadistic voice—mild annoyance) "This Police running stuff is pretty annoying…if I encounter one, I'll fight them to the death.."

Kairi would sigh a bit, before staring into the ground below, as she eyed the typical thug activity which was threatening the weak and the hopeless, causing her to sigh before slowly jumping from building floor to building floor now, before she reached the ground.

Kairi calmly walked over, and simply asked them, "What gang are you from, lowlifes?"

Ranyu eyed this girl here, with Ken & Rin eyeing her also.

Kairi: (smugly—unnoticed angry tone) "Are you deaf or something…"

Ranyu: (irritated—delinquent-like tone) "We are the Sakuya Tribal Gang, and you are standing on our turf… woman."

Kairi began to laugh at this statement, before slowly stepping forward as she asked, "Mind letting that lady go…or do you want to do this the hard way?"

Ranyu would alert the rest of the Sakuya Tribal Gang, which was nothing but fat dudes, some idiot women with blue hair + a Karen like haircut and very unstable people causing her to run as quickly as she can to the Ranyu guy, but she was cornered by the fat dudes.

Kairi: (sadistic laughter—Uncanny Glare) "I'll make sure you all die in under two minutes tops.."

Kairi would jump upwards to avoid getting grabbed by a fat dude, but she was unaware of the very unstable guys who were running at her.

The Unstable Guy began to stab Kairi's right arm, causing her to scream in pain, until she began to laugh sadistically as she used her other hand to break free of the grasp from the fat dude's grip.

Kairi would pull the knife out of her right arm, as she licked her own blood off of it, before staring at the fat dude and the unstable guy with a bloodlust look, as she tossed the knife through the guy's jugular, causing his throat to get ripped out due to the impact.

The Fat Guy panicked as he shouted, "LUCAS" but his screams were soon silenced as Kairi used her strength and snapped the fat dude's neck, causing him to pass out.

About a good hour later, Kairi dealt with the rest of the Sakuya Tribal Gang's Grunts as they were all swiftly killed and deliberately dealt with only a minute left to go.

Kairi eyed Ranyu, Ken and Rin with the same bloodlust glint in her eye, causing her to continue walking forward.

Kairi: (sadistic smirk—crazed eye gesture) "I am the Pacifist.." as Kairi said this, she decided to just grab the nearest wooden plank, and bash it into Ken's Skull, causing his nose to burst out in blood before finally collapsing to the ground.

Rin: (shocked look—scared voice) "KEEEEEEN!!!!!" She screamed his name, as he was seen, dead on the ground lifelessly.

Ranyu took this opportunity to step forward, and simply try to send a gut punch into Kairi's Chest, followed by Rin trying to throw Kunai at Kairi's back.

Kairi: (sadistic expression—angst tone) "You…there, Rin dear…You know you can change..", Kairi had a bit of a somber tone as she was telling Rin to change and better herself, before ducking the kunai thrown at her.

Ranyu: (Scared Expression—Yelling) "DAMN YOU BITCH!!!!" Ranyu was struck in multiple places by the kunai, before he was going down he decided to light this dynamite in his hand but he was Spinkicked into the river beside them here.

Rin: (somber crying—bothered) "Why didn't you kill me…!!" Rin shouted at Kairi with an angry tone, causing Kairi to lift her collar.

Kairi: (angry tone—annoyed) "I see potential in you, girlie…and that's all I care about simply..but I'll walk you to the exit of this area tho.."

Rin: (asking quietly) "I know you see me as an enemy, but I have no choice, can you do me a favor?"

Kairi: (patiently waiting) "…What do you need help with?" Kairi would say this in a surprising caring voice.

Rin: (worried) "Please save my younger sister…from this weird group that call themselves the "Harvesters of Unity", it's a very weird and dangerous group with a very odd group leader..", Rin was the only one to escape and to train if it meant being a gang member.

Kairi: (sighing) "..Sure, this is the only thing I'll do but you can come with me for now.., got it."

Rin would nod in response, as she followed Kairi but Kairi decided to stop quickly, turning to Rin.

Kairi: (annoyed—threatening tone) "And if you are lying then you will be dealt with quickly like that leader of yours, Ranyu got it.."

Rin nodded to the response, as she wanted to join Kairi to save her sister but she was also eager to save the other victims of that weird group known as "Harvester".

Kairi would quickly carry Rin in a princess-like way, as she quickly ran up the building to get on the first building rooftop, and simply jumped from building floor to building floor again and headed to a different hotel floor for the night.

As Kairi and Rin headed in the hotel room, they were both sweaty, so before they went to bed, they decided to wash each other up by lathering shampoo and body wash on their bodies, and hopped into the bath together.

Kairi: (serious) "Rin, you sleep and I'll make the room mine.."

Rin: (smiling) "Okay.."

As they were finished with their bath, Kairi put Rin to bed now, letting her sleep as she then walked over to Hotel Check In, quickly making her way to the reception and checked in their room, Hotel Room 1-C in the system and took the key after taking the room.

As Kairi walked over to the room, she opened the door with the room key, and went to sleep beside Rin who was seemingly having a nightmare or something, as she was crying in her sleep.

Kairi could only feel pity for Rin, however she remembered seeing a random woman that was there in trouble by the Sakuya Tribal Group, but who was she really?

Kairi would pull Rin closer to her like she was her own younger sister, as she finally started falling asleep finally…,while they were asleep we would shift back to the alleyway where we see the lady standing around the dead bodies of the Sakuya Tribal Gang, but then a weird voice was heard, coming from the shadows.

???: (serious expression—weird tone) "You there, woman… you are the cause huh?.."

??? Would reveal himself as Rulaze Sinblair, who was the 35 year old leader of the group "Harvester"

Rulaze: (Sadistic grin—weird tone) "Bend down, kiss your maker..", Rulaze commanded the woman before blushing a bit pervertedly.

The Woman was a bit freaked out, but decided to follow Rulaze's order before so she could walk away.

Rulaze: (serious look—weird tone) "Rulaze would like to cop a feel if you catch my drift."

The lady would scream "NO" at him, causing him to get angry.

Rulaze: (annoyed expression—angry tone) "..You know what, Freya…Jade…Kaverah & Jyera you woman out of my many know what to do to this woman better yet…what's your name?"

The Lady would look scared, slowly backing away, as she said, "My name is Mary Holiday…I'm an American Journalist for Times.."

Rulaze simply walked over to Mary as he spoke creepily, "You aren't very smart…so make sure to try again when you are reborn in this world in the future" as Rulaze said this, he shot her in the stomach about 5 times with a regular pistol, before he put the pistol up, Mary gasped at the air before cursing at them all, but then Rulaze looked angry before finally ending Mary's life by shooting her in the head.

Rulaze: (Happy expression—serious tone) "Let's head out now..", Rulaze and the other women at Harvester would disappear again from within the shadows in the alleyway.
