Training for the Clan War

Jun arrived back at the palace, his mind clouded with confusion. The scene at the temple kept replaying in his thoughts. Who would steal an ancient spell carved into stone? What was so special about it that someone would go to such lengths? He clenched his fists, knowing that something far greater was at play.

As he walked through the palace corridors, Elder Ryojin Hikari noticed his troubled expression. The wise elder, who had seen many battles and mysteries unfold, approached Jun with a calm demeanor.

"Jun, you seem disturbed. Whatever happened at the temple must have left you shaken," Ryojin said, his voice firm yet reassuring.

Jun exhaled deeply. "Elder, something is not right. That spell—someone took it, and I don't know who or why."

Ryojin placed a hand on Jun's shoulder. "Calm your mind. The truth will unveil itself in time. Until then, focus on what is in front of you. The clan war is approaching. We must ensure our warriors are prepared. Train them well."

Jun nodded. The elder's words made sense. He had to set aside his confusion for now and concentrate on what he could control. With that, he turned and made his way toward the training grounds.

As he entered, he spotted Sho and Daigo locked in an intense sparring session. The clashing of wooden swords echoed through the air as both warriors pushed their limits. Sho, with his natural agility, dodged Daigo's powerful strikes, while Daigo, with his raw strength, countered with brute force.

Jun crossed his arms, observing them closely before speaking. "Your training is good," he said, his voice cutting through the air. "But it's not enough to compete in the clan war."

Both Sho and Daigo stopped mid-fight, turning to face him. Sweat dripped from their brows, their breathing heavy.

Sho wiped his forehead. "Clan war? It's happening this year too, Jun-sama?"

Jun gave a slight nod. "Yes. And this time, I will personally train both of you. But be warned—there will be no breaks. You both need to be stronger if you wish to stand among the warriors of the other clans."

Daigo smirked, rolling his shoulders. "Finally, some real training. I won't lose to anyone."

Sho, though slightly hesitant, nodded. "Understood. We'll be ready."

Jun's expression remained serious. "Good. Then take today to rest. Starting tomorrow, we train at Azure Mountain."

Sho raised an eyebrow. "Azure Mountain? Why there?"

Jun's gaze sharpened. "The Seiryu Clan leader wants to speak with both of you."

Sho and Daigo exchanged looks. The Seiryu Clan was known for its mastery of ancient techniques and elemental control. What could their leader possibly want with them?

Jun turned to leave but stopped at the doorway. "Be prepared. This is not just about training anymore. The path ahead is uncertain, and you both must be ready for anything."

As he walked away, Sho and Daigo remained standing, their minds racing with questions. The clan war was coming, and the trials ahead would push them beyond their limits. Tomorrow, their journey at Azure Mountain would begin.
