"When I first met him, he was living in a 150-square-foot rental and making only $2,000 a month."

"Even in those tough circumstances, I was willing to marry him."

"It wasn't about money, it was about love."

"Your appearance proves that his love has become worthless."

"This kind of thing should be thrown in the trash. Why would you want to hold onto something that makes you sick?"

Melody was speechless.

Then she said, "Did you know he actually got a vasectomy?"

This news caught me off guard.

I thought it was just an excuse Dashiell used to deceive me.

Melody laughed bitterly.

"He promised me over and over that we would have children someday."

"But for you, he secretly got a vasectomy."

"What kind of man does that make him?"

After Melody met with me, I heard from a coworker that she voluntarily resigned from the company.

Since then, there's been no news about her.

A week later, the two-month cooling-off period ended.
