living with a Demon

Yehosua stood up and walked over to his cake. "My cake," he said sadly.

Then, he turned to the gang members and said, "You started this."

He grabbed his newspaper, rolled it up tight, and then gestured at the gang members, signaling them to come at him.

The gang leader laughed and gestured back, and five of his gang members stepped forward.

Yehosua hit one of the gang members with the rolled-up newspaper, and the gang member disappeared!

"How did he do that?" one of the gang members whispered.

"I don't know," the gang leader sighed. Then, he gestured again, and all the remaining gang members charged at Yehosua.

Yehosua chuckled, stretched, and then started kicking and punching. He was so fast that the gang members couldn't even see him.

Before they knew it, only one person remained: the gang leader, the one who had thrown the cake on the ground.

"It's you and me now," Yehosua said, looking at the man like he was his prey. The man froze, unable to move.

Suddenly, the man unfroze and tried to run, but Yehosua was everywhere! The man wasn't sure if he was dealing with a human or something else entirely.

"How...how did you get here?" the man stammered before disappearing into the newspaper Yehosua was holding. Yehosua rolled up the newspaper and put it in his back pocket.

Meanwhile, Dohe finished applying her makeup. As she left the restroom, she saw her cake on the floor. "My cake!!" she cried.

Yehosua turned to her. "Whose cake exactly?" he asked calmly, but his face was cold.

"What happened to my cake?" Dohe asked. "I didn't even get to taste it!"

Yehosua looked at the cake. "I would have tasted this cake if not for this lady," he muttered.

Dohe looked at Yehosua, and then he looked at her. "So, I'm glad to say our date is officially over," she said. Dohe left without waiting for his response.

"What date?" he murmured to himself.

Dohe went straight to her office, but before she arrived, she received a call from the hospital.

"Hello, ma'am. Am I speaking with Ms. Dohe?"

"Yes," Dohe answered.

"Mrs. Majojo has been rushed to the hospital."

"Rushed to the hospital?" Dohe exclaimed. "Okay, I'm coming."

In less than a minute, she arrived at the hospital and saw the nurse in charge of Majojo's medical care.

"Good morning, Miss Dohe. Your grandma was just rushed to the hospital."

"I got a call from the hospital. Is she okay?"

"Yes, she is okay. I guess it's just her blood pressure, nothing serious."

"Phew." Dohe sighed in relief.

"Which room has she been admitted to?" Dohe asked the nurse.

"Room 305," the nurse answered.

When Dohe reached room 305, she saw Majojo on the bed. She came closer.

"Ma, are you okay?"

"I'm fine, do not worry about me."

'Majojo seems okay,' Dohe thought. 'Did she lie to make me come here?'

"Yes, I did," Majojo replied.

"You made the doctor lie to me because you wanted to see me?"

"Yes, I did," Majojo replied. "Since you did not celebrate your birthday and you did not take your cake, it was left for me to bring the cake myself. So I thought since they cannot bring the cake to you, so let's bring you to the cake. So I decided to bring it to you myself."

"Trust me, it is very sweet." Dohe tasted the cake. "Wow, it is delicious!"

"How did you know it was so sweet?" Dohe asked.

Majojo then said, "I may have taken a bite from it."

"So cut your cake already."

Majojo then sang for her.

"Happy birthday to you

Happy birthday to you

Happy birthday, happy birthday

Happy birthday to you."

With a smile on Dohe's face, Majojo put a birthday cap on her head. Then she blew out the candle and cut the cake.

Dohe remembered her date. "Majojo, you didn't tell me you arranged a date with such a good-looking guy!"

"Good-looking?" Majojo replied. "That means I didn't see him very well."

"Because he doesn't look handsome in his pictures," Dohe murmured. "Can I have a look?"

"Of course, yes you can," Majojo answered.

Dohe looked at the picture. The man in the picture looked nothing like the man she saw in the restaurant. "He is not the person I met today," she said to Majojo.

Just then, there was a knock on the door. "Come in," Majojo said.

It was Lisa. "Good afternoon," she greeted. "I'm sorry to inform you, but the address got mixed up. I think they might have given you the wrong address."

"So after all that..." Dohe said. "So what should I do now? Should I call Mr. Yehoshua?"

"Yes, you should do that," Dohe answered Lisa. "I think it will be better." She picked up her phone and gave it to Lisa.

Lisa called Yehoshua. The phone rang, and in less than a minute, Yehoshua answered.

"Good day, sir. We are sorry for what happened today in the restaurant. They might have mixed up the address, and that is why my boss...Miss Dohe came to the restaurant you booked. Sorry for the disturbance. I assure you we will pay for the food and drinks and the broken glass, so please ask your manager to send me your account number."

"There is no need for that," Yehoshua said. "I have already paid for the damages and food." Then he ended the call.

"He hung up on me," Dohe said. "At least I know that I am free from the incident."

As she left the hospital, she collected her car keys from Lisa.

"Miss Dohe, I can't let you go at this time all alone," Lisa said.

"Alone? Don't worry, I am an adult," Dohe told Lisa.

Lisa looked at Dohe. "Are you sure you want to go by yourself?"

"Yes, I am," Dohe answered.

"Okay then," Lisa said, giving Dohe the keys.

Dohe went to the place where her parents used to take her when she was a kid. Looking at the sky, she remembered how she and her parents would play on the sand and make sandcastles, then play in the water.

Ding A message arrived on her phone. Without checking who it was from, she picked up her phone to check the time.

It was evening. Tears streamed down Dohe's face. She got up, brushed herself off, and got into her car.

As she drove, she felt like she was being followed. Looking back, she saw a man with wild eyes, blood on his hands, and a knife. He grabbed her arm and tried to stab her!

Dohe screamed for help.

Far away, Yehosua stood on a rooftop. "Why isn't anyone ready to sign a contract?" he muttered.

Then he heard Dohe's screams. "Good, they're coming," he said. "That voice...and the scent of roses...this will be interesting. Even being chased by a murderer!" He smiled and snapped his fingers, disappearing.

At the scene, Dohe ran through the darkness, the murderer close behind. Suddenly, another figure appeared in front of her. Was he there to kill her or save her?

His aura was intense, and he gave Dohe chills. His face appeared in the moonlight. She turned back to see her attacker. She couldn't run anymore.

"I can't believe I'll die on my birthday," Dohe whispered.

Then she looked up. The figure in the shadows looked familiar! It was the man she thought was her date!

"Please help me!" she cried. "He wants to kill me!"

"Aren't you the nutcase who ruined my dessert?" Yehosua asked. "Why should I help you?"

"Because I'm about to die!" Dohe yelled.

"I don't care," Yehosua said. "But I'll help you if you sign a contract with me."

"What contract?" Dohe asked.

Yehosua smirked. "You're still calm even at the point of death."

Peem A car sped towards them!

Yehosua pulled Dohe close and pushed her into the water. Then he jumped in after her, realizing she couldn't swim.

The man who tried to kill Dohe checked to see if she was dead and then left.

Minutes later, someone pulled Dohe out of the water. She was unconscious and couldn't see clearly. She fell unconscious again for three days. When she woke up, she could see, but she was weak.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into a month. Finally, she regained her strength. She looked around and realized she wasn't home or in a hospital. The room was decorated in red and black.

"Where am I?" she asked weakly, trying to stand. Her head hurt. She remembered what happened and who the man sitting nearby was - the man she mistook for her date!

"Mr. Yohoshua, right?" she asked.

He just stared at her. "There's water there, and your food is on the right side of your bed. You'll see a dress in that wardrobe. When you're done, come meet me in the garden."

"Garden?" she repeated, confused. "But how will I know your gar..."

Yehoshua snapped his fingers and disappeared! He didn't even answer her question.

"How did he disappear? And what garden? How does he expect me to meet him in the garden when I just woke up?" Dohe was angry. She felt an urge to break the glass on the table, and she did!

Far away, Yehoshua was in the garden. Crack He heard the glass breaking. "My greatest fear has come to life," he said calmly. "She has powers, and if not taken care of, she might end her life, and end mine too. I wouldn't have saved her if I had known she had powers. I can't believe I held myself back for weeks without hurting her."

Back in the room, Dohe was surprised. "Wow. What just happened? Did I do that?"

She saw the dress Yehoshua left for her. She looked at it with disdain, remembering what he said. Then she went to the washroom to freshen up.

When she finished her bath, she saw the dress again. She walked closer. It was more beautiful than she had imagined! "I can't believe a jerk like Yehoshua would have such good taste in fashion," she said. "I must say, he has great taste. When I saw him earlier today, I forgot to compliment his outfit. It was quite amazing, and the combination was outstanding. Simple yet unique," she said, trying to remember how he looked.

When Dohe woke up after a month, she felt like she had died and woken up in heaven when she saw someone looking at her, someone so good-looking! For a minute, she thought she was the luckiest person to meet the most beautiful angel. His white shirt was neat and well ironed, and he wore black trousers that matched his raven black hair, which was combed back perfectly. "He looked quite handsome," she said softly.

After all the compliments, Dohe sat down at a mirror stand beside her bed. It was the only furniture that looked new. She looked at herself and realized her hair was brighter, thicker, and longer than usual. "Is this how my hair used to be?" she wondered.

After a minute, she stood up, assuming it was just natural hair growth. She put on the gown and looked in the mirror. "The dress is really beautiful, and the color makes it even more beautiful. I didn't know pink was so beautiful." The only problem was that it had a lot of openings in all the right places, but luckily, Dohe was used to that.

Dohe glanced at the food Yehosua had mentioned. Remembering his words, she suddenly lost her appetite. A wave of distrust washed over her.
