The earthquake continued, more stronger than before.

"Do you have any idea to what might be going on?" I asked the man whose life I had just saved, the man who did not seem to understand that the only reason why he was alive was because I needed him and whatever information he had.

"The monsters." He glared at me as he assessed his missing limb, "you killed one of them. You broke our pact. You caused this. Fix it."

"I will fix your attitude soon enough if you do not fix it yourself." I growled and he flinched, turning his gaze from me.

"Why are they attacking now?" I asked him. It had been a week since I killed one of them, but they were just taking action. They surely were not waiting for me to get my act together, so why now?

He did not reply me, he just stayed in his prison as he stared at me with judging eyes. I had no time to deal with his nonsense but I could not take him with me either.
