Washed ashore

Nicole's pov~

My body ached all over but the first thing I felt was warmth. Warmth and sand, not water. Sand.

Land.

I shot my eyes open and groaned, the body ache took over me. The feel of the sun against my skin was warmly welcomed. I was on land, not in water but on land.

The waves must have pushed me to the shore.

I let out a shaky laugh, grabbing the sand in my hands as I jumped around frantically, simply happy to be off the water. My enthusiasm quickly washed off as I was too tired to continue jumping. I collapsed onto the warm sand and stared at the sky, relief washed over me.

My clothes were damp and sand was stuck to my skin but I did not care. My boat was nowhere to be found but I was certain that pieces of it would be scattered all over. I desperately hoped that the place I washed up on was Schwel island because if it was not, then I would be stranded.
