Chapter 12: The World’s Unseen King

The Silent Panic Across the Continent

For the past few weeks, an unspoken fear had spread like wildfire across the entire continent. Kings, emperors, and warlords—all once believing themselves to be the pinnacle of power—were now facing a reality they couldn't comprehend.

Frank Luminous existed.

He wasn't leading an army.

He wasn't expanding territory.

He wasn't issuing commands.

And yet, his name alone was enough to make entire kingdoms rethink their political strategies.

At first, many doubted the reports. How could a man who did nothing hold such terrifying strength? But then came the rumors—whispers of his power beyond gods, of his immortality, of how even the divine could not erase his existence.

It didn't take long for the most powerful rulers to come to the same terrifying conclusion:

Frank Luminous was untouchable.

But while the world continued to panic over a man who simply wished to enjoy his books and tea, something far more dangerous was stirring in the shadows.

The Forbidden Gathering – Council of the Gods

In a hidden plane beyond mortal comprehension, the highest-ranking gods of the Pantheon assembled once more. The divine chamber, usually filled with radiant light, now flickered with uncertainty.

At the head of the table sat Zephiron, the God of Creation. His expression was calm, but his golden eyes held a weight that made even the most powerful gods hesitate.

To his right sat Astraea, the Goddess of Fate, her celestial robes shimmering as she gazed into the strands of destiny—only to find one name standing above all others.

And then there was Tyran, the God of War—still seething, still restless, still unable to accept the truth.

"This is absurd," Tyran finally broke the silence, his voice laced with frustration. "We sit here doing nothing, while a mortal holds power beyond comprehension!"

Zephiron's eyes met his. "And what would you suggest we do, Tyran? Have you forgotten the last time we attempted to interfere?"

Tyran's jaw tightened. The memory was fresh.

The moment a god had tried to erase Frank from existence… and failed.

It had shaken the foundations of the divine realm. No god—not even Zephiron himself—had ever encountered something they could not erase.

"It's unnatural," Astraea whispered, her fingers tracing invisible strands of fate. "Every soul, every existence… all of them are bound by the laws of creation. And yet, Frank Luminous is…"

"An anomaly," Zephiron finished. "A being beyond our authority."

Tyran's fists clenched. "Then if we can't erase him, we should at least test his limits."

Astraea stiffened. "You're suggesting war?"

"Not directly," Tyran replied, his crimson eyes gleaming. "But if he truly does nothing, then it won't matter if we send… a few disasters his way."

Zephiron's expression darkened. "You are playing a dangerous game, Tyran."

But the War God smirked. "Then let's see if the 'Sleeping Tyrant' truly intends to sleep forever."

Back at Luminous Manor – An Afternoon Interrupted

Frank sat in his usual spot beneath the cherry blossom tree, a thick book resting in his hands. The wind carried the gentle scent of tea, and the soft rustling of leaves provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation.

But just as he was about to turn the next page—

BOOM!

The sky ripped open.

Elise, who had been quietly enjoying her tea, nearly dropped her cup as an explosion of divine energy erupted in the distance. The air trembled. The ground cracked. And then—

A massive celestial beast descended from the heavens.

Its form was monstrous—towering higher than the mountains, its body covered in radiant golden scales. Six wings spread wide, casting an overwhelming shadow over the land.

Elise's heart pounded. "That's… That's a Divine Calamity!"

These creatures were said to be sent by the gods themselves, used only in times of extreme punishment—to erase nations, to devastate civilizations.

And yet, it had come here.

To Frank.

Elise turned to him, expecting at least some reaction. But as always—he didn't move.

He simply sighed.

"Annoying," Frank muttered.

Then, with a single flick of his finger, reality itself shattered.

The massive celestial beast—something powerful enough to annihilate entire empires—froze mid-air. Its golden eyes widened in terror.

And then—it ceased to exist.

No battle.

No struggle.

No destruction.

It simply vanished.

Elise's breath caught in her throat. Even though she had seen his power before, it was still impossible to comprehend.

"Frank," she whispered, her voice unsteady. "That was a Divine Calamity."

Frank turned another page in his book. "I know."

Elise swallowed hard. "You just erased it like it was… nothing."

Frank finally glanced at her, his golden eyes calm. "Because it was nothing."

The wind blew gently. The cherry blossoms continued to fall. And somewhere, in the heavens—the gods trembled once more.
