chapter 15

The day had finally arrived for Vidisha's big surprise for Siddharth, and Jasmine was determined to make it memorable. They had planned everything down to the last detail, and the air was thick with excitement as Jasmine and Vidisha decorated the garden with twinkling fairy lights and vibrant flowers. Jasmine could hardly contain her enthusiasm, her heart racing at the thought of the proposal.

As they finished setting up, Jasmine noticed a few stray balloons floating in the wind. "I'll take care of those!" she declared, darting off to gather them. As she reached for a particularly rebellious balloon, she lost her balance and stumbled backward, landing right into a bush of flowers.

Ranbir, who was nearby, burst out laughing. "You know, Jasmine, you're supposed to be helping, not creating a new floral arrangement!" he teased, a playful smirk on his face.

"Shut up, Ranbir!" Jasmine shot back, trying to regain her composure and brush off the petals. "I'm just adding a little extra flair!"

Abhiman, who had been watching from a distance, couldn't help but smile at the scene. Jasmine's antics were always entertaining, and her infectious energy was hard to resist. Naira, however, was not amused as she glared at Ranbir, her jealousy flaring up at his teasing.

"Seriously, Ranbir? Can't you be a little more supportive?" Naira snapped, pulling him away from Jasmine. "Come on, let's talk in private."

They retreated to a nearby room, where the tension escalated into an argument. "You always find a way to make fun of her!" Naira exclaimed, frustration evident in her tone.

"She can handle herself, Naira. It's all in good fun," Ranbir replied, crossing his arms defensively.

Naira huffed, her eyes narrowing. "Well, maybe you should be more considerate!"

Without thinking, she stepped closer and kissed him, her passion overwhelming her frustration. Ranbir was taken aback but quickly reciprocated, deepening the kiss as the moment shifted from annoyance to intimacy.

Back outside, the atmosphere was electric as Vidisha prepared to propose. Jasmine positioned herself strategically, ready to capture the moment. When Siddharth arrived, the garden was illuminated with the soft glow of lights, and the scent of flowers filled the air.

"Surprise!" Jasmine and Vidisha called out in unison, and Siddharth's eyes widened in astonishment.

"What is all this?" he asked, genuinely shocked.

"Just for you," Vidisha replied, her voice shaking slightly with nerves. She took a deep breath, her heart pounding. "Siddharth, I've wanted to tell you something for a long time… I love you, and I want to spend my life with you. Will you marry me?"

Siddharth's expression shifted from surprise to joy. "Yes! Yes, I will!" He pulled Vidisha into a tight embrace, lifting her off the ground as they shared a passionate kiss. Jasmine beamed at the sight, her heart swelling with happiness for her friend.

Abhiman, who had been observing from a distance, noticed Jasmine's radiant smile and felt a warmth spread through him. It was a smile that brightened the entire garden.

As the celebration continued, the music began to play, and Siddharth and Vidisha started dancing together, lost in their own world. Laughter and cheers surrounded them as everyone joined in the festivities.

However, Naira and Ranbir had yet to return from their heated conversation. Jasmine, feeling the festive spirit, wandered toward the refreshment table, her eyes landing on a pitcher of juice. "Perfect!" she thought, pouring herself a glass.

Taking a big sip, Jasmine's expression turned confused as the taste hit her. "This is… not juice!" she exclaimed, her eyes widening. Realizing she had accidentally poured herself a drink spiked with alcohol, she felt a wave of warmth wash over her.

Meanwhile, Abhiman was on a phone call, oblivious to the fun happening around him. Jasmine giggled to herself, feeling lightheaded as the laughter and music swirled around her.

With the party in full swing, the atmosphere was one of pure joy, and Jasmine couldn't help but get swept away in it. She was ready to enjoy the moment, even if it meant dancing a little too enthusiastically or letting loose just a bit more than usual.

Little did she know, Abhiman's eyes flickered toward her, a knowing smile playing on his lips as he watched her embrace the celebration, feeling an unexpected connection with her joyful spirit.
