Chapter 57 Machinery of Jinhan Corporation

"Are you disappointed?" Kim asked, his voice heavy.

"Disappointed in what?" the leader replied.

"In me and the industrial complex," Kim said.

As the man responsible for the complex's operations, Kim Seong-han bore the burden of its successes and failures.

"Disappointed? Not in the slightest," the leader said. "If anything, I'm impressed. You tolerated their nonsense just to keep things running. I should be apologizing to you."

"There wasn't much of a choice," Kim admitted.

"Next time, let me know. Don't try to handle it all alone."

Kim chuckled. "Understood."

The leader knew Kim's loyalty well. As a close friend of his late father, Kim had devoted himself to Jinhan, even enduring the compromises necessary for its expansion.

"Good thing I came in person," the leader continued. "If I'd just listened to reports and left for the Philippines, you'd still be dealing with them now."

"That's my job," Kim said with a wry smile.
