Crossfire

I nervously sat in the passenger seat of Shin's new car as we headed toward Gangnam Police Station, where he arranged a meeting with Detective Choi.

Just what is he thinking…

Miho was staying at 'home' for now. Probably bored, or maybe not - playing the crane game or juggling. I didn't really want to think about the latter, so I decided to put my Miho to the back of my mind for now and focus on the upcoming encounter.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?"

I asked him again for the umpteenth time.

"We got attacked at a hospital. Literally ran away from the scene. You've told him I was taking you somewhere safe and then your phone went dead for a few days. It'd be suspicious as hell if we didn't pay him a visit - not to mention the fact that I DID promise to do this."

"Why would you do that?"

"Don't take the police force for fools. I have great respect for them."

"You do not seem to have any respect for the laws though."
