CHAPTER NINE

Adrianna's life as the Luna of the Lycan kingdom was a tornado of change. From the glory of the royal residence to the duties of driving a pack, her unused reality was a stark difference to the life she once knew. The scars of her past—once a princess and beneficiary to an alpha position of authority, presently a Luna—etched profoundly into her soul, impacted each choice she made. However, in the midst of the splendor of her unused life, a waiting unease settled in her heart. The shadows of her previous presence whispered within the calm corners of her intellect, denying to let her disregard the disloyalty that had pushed her into this position.

One evening, as the sun plunged underneath the skyline, portraying the sky in tones of orange and pink, Adrianna found herself on the overhang of the Lycan royal residence. The cool breeze carried the far off murmur of the pack underneath, a quiet difference to the storm brewing inside her. She wrapped her arms around herself, looking for comfort within the tranquility of the evening, but the weight of her unused part squeezed intensely upon her.

Liam's quiet footsteps drawn closer, his nearness a comforting warmth within the infringing night. He stood adjacent to her, his look settled on the same removed skyline that held her consideration.

"You've been calm," he watched delicately, his voice a relieving emollient against the turmoil in her heart.

Adrianna moaned, her fingers fixing around the cold stone railing. "It's a part of my intellect."

Liam turned to confront her, concerned about softening his highlights. "Is it around your father? Or the pack?"

She shook her head, the tie in her chest fixing. "It's everything, Liam. My father's disloyalty, my put here, the duty of being Luna. Now and then, it feels like I'm living somebody else's life."

Liam comes out, his hand encompassing hers in a consoling hold. "You've been through so much, Adrianna. But you're not alone. I'm here, and together, we'll confront anything that comes."

A hush extended between them, overwhelming with implicit fears and vulnerabilities. Adrianna needed to accept his words, to discover consolidation within the strength of their bond. But the wounds of her past were still new, and belief was a delicate thing.

Fair as she was approximately to voice her concerns, a commotion from the royal residence doors drew their consideration. A protector drawn closer quickly, his expression bleak. "Your Grandness, Luna Adrianna, there's somebody here to see you. It's pressing."

Liam traded a look with Adrianna, a noiseless understanding passing between them. Together, they took after the watch to the entrance lobby, where two recognizable figures stood—Adrian, Liam's twin brother, and Andrew Silver, Adrianna's father.

Adrianna's heart clenched at the location of her father. The final time she had seen him, he had sold her into subjugation, casting her aside like a useless protest. The recollections of that day overwhelmed her, a deluge of torment and selling out that cleared out her breathlessness.

"Adrianna," her father started, his voice reluctant, filled with a blend of blame and edginess. "I came to see you, to explain…"

Liam ventured forward, his pose defensive and forcing. "You've got a parcel of nerve coming here, after everything you've done."

Adrian, standing close to Andrew, raised a hand to calm the pressure. "We're not here to cause inconvenience. We just need to have a conversation."

Adrianna's look solidified, her voice cold and unwavering. "Conversation? After you sold me, disposed of me like I was nothing? Why ought I tune in to anything you have got to say?"

Her father's confrontation folded, the weight of his blame apparent in each line. "I was off-base, Adrianna. I made an awful botch. Your mother's best companion told me the truth—that your mother was an omega. I didn't know. I didn't understand. Please, give me a chance to create things right."

Adrianna's heart throbbed at his words, but the torment of his disloyalty was still raw. "You think a basic expression of remorse can delete everything? Do you have any thoughts about what I went through?"

Andrew's eyes filled with tears, his voice breaking. "I'm asking you, Adrianna. I know I can't fix the past, but I want to be a part of your future. If you don't mind, excuse me."

For a minute, quiet ruled. Adrianna's intellect hustled with recollections of her past and the modern life she had built. The outrage, the harm, and the yearning for the family she had misplaced fought inside her, each requesting to be listened to.

At last, she fixed, her voice consistent but steadfast. "You'll continuously be my father, but pardoning isn't something that can be requested. It's earned. Right presently, I require time to recuperate. Watch, escort them out of the pack house."

Adrian and Andrew were driven absent, their figures withdrawing into the night. The pressure within the discussion facilitated, but the enthusiastic storm inside Adrianna remained. Liam set a comforting hand on her bear, his nearness a steady anchor. "You did the proper thing. You wish to require care of yourself to begin with."

Adrianna gestured, in spite of the fact that her heart remained overwhelming. The street to mend was long, but she decided to walk it, one step at a time.

---

Days turned into weeks, and life within the Lycan kingdom proceeded. Adrianna tossed herself into her obligations, finding comfort within the beat of authority. Liam stood by her side, a steady source of quality and back.

But peace was transitory.

One evening, as Adrianna arranged to resign for the night, a protector burst into her chambers, frozen carved on his face. "Luna Adrianna, it's Adrian. He's endeavored to capture you."

Adrianna's blood ran cold. "Where is he presently?"

"Within the cells," the watch answered. "He thought little of the quality of our guards."

Adrianna rushed to the prisons, Liam at her side. There, in a faintly lit cell, Adrian sat, his face a blend of insubordination and fear. He had come looking for use, trusting to utilize Adrianna to pick up control over the Lycan kingdom. But his arrangement had failed stupendously.

"You thought you might take me?" Adrianna's voice was cold, filled with a newly discovered quality. "You belittled me, Adrian. You belittled the Lycan kingdom."

Adrian's insubordination wavered, supplanted by a glint of lament. "I made a botch."

"One that took a toll on you dearly," Liam contributed, his voice a moo snarl. "You'll reply for your violations."

As Adrian was driven absent, Adrianna felt a weight lift from her shoulders. The danger had been neutralized, and with it, a chapter of her life had closed.

Within the days that followed, Adrianna met with Liam and the chamber to guarantee the security of the kingdom. They fortified their unions, expelled Miranda, Adrian's fancy woman, from their lands, and set their run the show.

For Adrianna, forgiveness was a journey. She eventually met with her father, granting him the chance to explain and slowly, piece by piece, they mended their relationship.

In the end, Adrianna stood stronger, wiser. She had faced betrayal, heartbreak,

and danger, emerging not just as a Luna, but as a leader, a survivor, and a beacon of hope for her people.
