16 years later...
Xavier Daniels stared down at the city of California from his office above, everywhere was bustly, people in a hurry to get to their workplace. "Never make an appointment or a schedule on a Monday" that has always been the saying.
He stood there lost in thoughts, it had been 21 years since his father was murdered by his trusted friend who had claimed the company. Xavier had endured pain throughout his childhood after that incident, him and his mother had moved to the city of California where he had hustled and bustled to make ends meet. His mother who wasn't stable enough since the death of her husband died when Xavier was 10 leaving him all alone in this cold earth.
He was taken under the protection of Ray's father who did everything in his power to ensure he was sent overseas for his education together with Ray who became Xavier's right hand man.
At age 16, Alphaplay was created and now it had become the number one on the food chain. All this he achieved when he was 18.
Now here he was standing, waiting for the informant who he had sent to spy on his father's company, D&Co enterprise.
Xavier drew a cigarette and puffed out the smoke. A figure entered.
"Did you get find anything Ray?, Xavier asked.
Ray gulped and looked at his master's dark figure putting out the smoke, he looked dangerous.
"Yes boss, i did find some valuable informations"
Xavier dropped his cigarette into the ash tray, "speak!", he commanded
"Boss, the company is on the verge of bankruptcy, and Thomas isn't doing well with that information. He's looking for any means to sell shares to other companies so as to help him"
Xavier chuckled darkly, "how nice"
"I also found something boss, Thomas has a daughter, Evelyn De rossa, a 19 year old beauty"
Xavier smirked, "bingo" he muttered under his breath.
"Prepare the car Ray, it's time to get into the game. And also buy 60percent of the shares in that company, let them think they've found a saviour" he said and walked out.
Ray shivered at the thought of what his master was planning to do, he dare not cross his part or incure his anger. Ray kept that in mind.

Evelyn stared at her father's tired figure sitting across the spacious living room. She wondered what might had happened at the office today. "Pa, are you okay?" She asked in a concerned tone. Thomas stared at his daughter and smiled at her question
"I'm fine ma fille". Evelyn shrugged.
"Is any thing wrong with the company pa?" She asked again, Thomas felt irritated at his daughter's question,
"I said I'm fine Evelyn!" He barked, rubbing his forehead subconsciously. Evelyn raised her brows at her father's outburst.
"Okay. Urmm, I'll be going out then I'll meet up with kat after that"
"Be home before curfew then".

As instructed, Ray had placed a tracker on Evelyn and Thomas, which made it easier for Xavier to track her down. Of course it was very easy when you own the number one tech company in the world.
He had a plan and couldn't wait to start putting it into action.
The tracker beeped indicating that she was near. Xavier smirked on sighting her incoming vehicle and swerved his car right into her direction. Evelyn didn't know what was happening and rammed her car into that of Xavier's. Surprised by the impact, she got out of the car to check the damage done to her's. Xavier also got out and stared at her, unknown to Evelyn who was fussing over the vehicle.
She's beautiful, Xavier thought in his mind and so innocent, he muttered to himself. Too bad, he was going to use her to gets what he wanted.
"I see you are self centered, caring about your self only" Xavier said after a long stare while waiting for her to notice him which she didn't. Evelyn looked up, now aware of the presence that had been there, her brown eyes holding much innocence, she stared at Xavier incredulously "what do you mean?, weren't you the one who rammed into my car!" She said with a light but raised voice.
Xavier stared at her, face devoid of any emotions, "But you didn't even ask about mine" he replied her with a calm, nonchalant tone. Evelyn wrinkled her nose, too bad a handsome young man was rude. She stared at him from head to toe, he looked good I'm his Armani suit, his hair was cut out nicely, his metallic grey eyes with a pint of blue held so many secrets that she wished to know, his face was well sculpted, with that oh-so-seductive sleepy eyes, sharp pointed nose and those sexy thin lips. Evelyn shoke her head coming out of her reverie, how could she admire such a rude human being. She huffed and glared at him, "well... You did ram into my car, so you have no choice than to repair the damages" she folded her arms stubbornly. Xavier raised his brows "oh really, seems like i don't ring a bell to you do i?" He questioned with an amused expression. Evelyn scrunched up her face "who are you?" She asked with a bit of sassiness, Xavier smirked "Xavier Daniels, nice to make your acquittance" Evelyn eyes became as wide as saucers.
Now Xavier's face wasn't known to many people in the business world, only few people were privileged to see his face. His employees only saw him on the company's important events or the annual ball.
Evelyn gulped but refuses to back down "how can I be so sure you're him and not an imposter who claims to be him" she asked with a smirk.
"Easy, you just used the term 'you' which means you actually believe but you are a doubting Thomas" Xavier tilted his head side ways, gazing at her with an accusing stare. " I have further evidence to prove my claims" he said and smirked while bringing out a black card with a golden inscription of his name written on it. Evelyn gasped in shock, she recognized the card. It was only owned by the top dog, even her father didn't have the card and it was rumored that only Xavier had that card, all business owners struggles to get that card but haven't succeed because it's very hard to get.
Still not backing down, she huffed again and said "now i see why you're arrogant". Xavier merely smiled. Evelyn decided to call one of her father's staff to tow the car and repair the damages done to it when she heard Xavier blurt out a "go on a date with me", Evelyn, clearly surprised halted what she was about to do, "excuse me?", Xavier shrugged " you heard what I said".
"And what if I don't want to?" She squared her shoulders, "it's not a request Evelyn, it's an order, I'll send someone to pick you up by six pm on Wednesday" Xavier finished. Evelyn frowned at how he knew her name, but that was the least of her problems, what would she tell her father?
Dad, I met Xavier Daniels and we're going on a date. That sounded ridiculous to her ears.
"Also, no one should know about the date" he butted in.
Evelyn glared at him "first you ask me on a date without even caring if I had anything to do on that day and now you're telling me not to let anyone know about it, you could as well kidnap me" she rolled her eyes.
Xavier looked unbothered by her outburst.
"That's more like me" he smirked.
Evelyn scoffed "you're arrogant"
"I know"
She groaned in frustration, it wasn't even up to an hour yet and he was already getting on her nerves, how the f was she going to spend an hour or two with him. Xavier checked the Rolex watch on his wrist and turned to the innocent lamb staring at him, "I've got work to do, see you later Evelyn" he got into his car and maneuvered his way out leaving Evelyn with a flaring nose and a speechless face.
