Katherina stormed into her apartment reeling in anger. Mason had annoyed her to the core, she hissed as she sat down on the sofa. He apologized I'm not in love with him anymore, how ironic!. She wasn't interested in him anymore but she could exploit him to her satisfaction. Mason was the owner of NQ groups, a company responsible for creating medical gadgets. It was a good catch, plus she was also with his child, that was a great advantage for her. Katherina smirked, this was just the beginning.

Her phone rang and. Evelyn's name popped up on the screen.

"Hi Evie"

"Hey Kathie, how's the baby fairing?" Evelyn asked with a smile.

"We've been good"

"That's good to hear..urm Kathie, i need your help on something, so i was wondering if you could come over tomorrow?"

Katherina creases her brows, already having some know about what she needed, "what is it?"

"Erm.. I'm going on a date on Saturday night and i need you to help me pick a dress"

"If I may ask Evie, who's the gentleman taking you out on a date"

"Xavier Daniels"

Katherina scoffed, "babes trust me, that person is an imposter"

"Whatever Kathie, are you helping me out or not?" She asked with a slightly annoyed tone.

"Yea sure, I'll come over tomorrow"

"Thanks Kathie" she ended the call. Katherina dialed a number on her phone, "Xavier?"

"Yes, what is it?" He asked clearly sounding impatient.

"Do you by chance happen to have a date on Saturday night?"

Xavier sensing what was on her mind replied her, "No, why asking?"

Katherina smiled and sighed in relief "Oh! nothing, just a friend of mine claiming she's going on a date with you"

"And If I may ask Katherina, who's this friend of yours?"

"No one important" she replied clearly waving it off.

Xavier nodded.

"Urm.. sorry for bothering you" she said but refrained from saying i love you, she couldn't risk it yet. For now she had to play her cards right. Xavier ended the call with a word and muttered under is breath, 'b*tch' .
