Thomas had decided that he'd be home tomorrow, yes, his daughter was back, they got some catching up to do.
Hakims did visit him as promised, and they did some catching up from the past.
The deal with Alphaplay had been sealed so he had nothing to worry about, at least the case of bankruptcy in the company would die down.
Thomas thought back to when he first took over this company, the main goal was to snatch it away from Daniel, after his death, Thomas had thought of selling the company but decided against it after all, he contributed to the growth of it. He then took the initiative to continue and now it had expanded, not up to the top of the food chain level but at least the company was making it's name.
He thought about his wife, Serena, Thomas felt a Sharp pain as he remembered the affair of his wife and bestfriend, the night he caught them, he couldn't believe his eyes. It was a shocking sight, Thomas remembered drinking to stupor that night, he failed as a man, he failed to notice the signs his wife had been giving him, he failed to notice the attraction between the both of them.
So, the seed of vengeance grew in his heart, he nursed it, watered it and it sprouted to a big tree, plotting the death of his beloved partner, luckily for him, fate dealt with his wife, she had a heart disease and died before the treatment was found. Thomas didn't fell anything when she died, like they always say betrayal stings the heart so bad that it forgets who it once loved.
At least, to return the favor of the years they spent together, he channelled his attention and love that he wasn't capable of giving his wife to his daughters.
The sound of his phone ringing brought him out of his thoughts.
"Hi dad", Evelyn said with a smile
"Hi princess, how are you doing?", he replied with a smile tugging on his lips.
"I'm good, urm.. jazz is back",
"Finally, is she there with you?"
Evelyn shoke her head, "no dad, she's sleeping"
"Oh, okay then, I'll be back tomorrow"
"Okay then byee, see ya". She ended the call.
Thomas smiled.
How nice, he thought.
