Chapter 138: Ultimate Power: Void Plain

From the crater, the Lurker rose slowly. Bone cracked and reformed with each movement, sinew snapping into place. Black ichor dripped from its jagged maw, but its smile was wide—eerie and almost gleeful.

Then it spoke, its voice a twisted mix of gurgled growl and low, rasping mockery. "I guess I have to end this little game now."

Dark aura seeped from its body—thick, unnatural, like tendrils of black smoke that coiled upward and poisoned the air.

Wulf narrowed his eyes. He didn't speak at first.

Kaiser looked over, panting, blades in hand. "Wulf? What is it?"

Wulf clenched his fist. "I feel something bad about this."

"What do you mean bad?" Kaiser asked, his voice sharp.

Wulf answered, grim and low, "I've felt this sensation before... I don't know where or how... but I've felt this before."
