Chapter 27: To Counter Xinya’s Plan

After taking a nap, Weiwei felt much better and started to think about how to communicate with her husband better. She had realized that communication in marriage was extremely important. Keeping one's thoughts to oneself only gave others a chance to create misunderstandings.

She also had to convince Mo Shian about her decision to open a studio while still in school. It was not going to be easy to run a business and study at the same time. But Weiwei was determined to be a successful career woman who could much her excellent husband.

She did not want to be Mo Shian's accessory. She wanted to be the woman who could stand shoulder to shoulder with him at the top of the business world.

After getting out of bed, she went to the bathroom to freshen up, then picked up her sketch book and started to design a pair of cufflinks. She was planning to gift Mo Shian a shirt to counter Xinya's plan, and she thought that adding a pair of cufflinks would make the effect better.

As Weiwei drew lines in the sketch book, a sophisticated pair of cufflinks appeared on the page. The details were so unique that it was to see that it was a one of a kind design.

She put her knowledge of her previous life as well as her professional skills as a designer to use while giving it hundred percent attention.

She was so engrossed in designing that she did not hear a car stop outside, nor did she realize that someone had entered the bedroom.

Mo Shian wondered what was so important that his wife did not even realize that there was someone else in the room. He walked up to her and stood behind her to look at what Weiwei was doing, only to realize that she was busy designing something that looked like a pair of cufflinks. There was a lifelike dragon on the design that looked like it would jump out of the page any time and spit fire.

He could not believe that his wife was so talented in design. Even though the design was not completed yet, he was sure that if it was produced, it would shock the fashion industry.

He did not want to disturb her as it might interfere with her inspiration, so Mo Shian turned around and walked out again without saying a word to Weiwei

He still needed to cook dinner for her. So he went directly to the kitchen to start preparing the ingredients.

Aunt Wu was shocked to see the famous CEO Mo walking into the kitchen.

"Sir, what do you need? You could just have told me and I would have brought it to you. Why did you enter the kitchen?"

"You don't the to worry Aunt Wu, today I'll cook dinner for my wife."

"Mr. Mo, you don't have to do such dirty jobs when am here. The kitchen is full of smoke. How can I let you do something as lowly as cooking?"

"I don't think cooking for my own wife is demeaning. It's quite a pleasure. I want to do it, so go and rest early. I will do everything myself."

"Already, since you insist then I will leave you to it."

After Aunt Wu left the kitchen, she ran back to her room in a small villa adjacent to the big villa Mo Shian and Weiwei lived in. The small villa was meant for servants. After locking the door, she took out her phone and called Mo Shian's grandmother to report today's progress. She was so happy that she almost jumped.

Since two months ago when Mo Shian and Weiwei started having problems, she had been on tenterhooks. After all, she had practically raised Mo Shian and treated him as her own son.

After the phone connected, Aunt Wu started talking nonstop and reported the entire scenario to grandma Mo. Upon hearing that her grandson came home from work and went straight to the kitchen to cook for his wife, Grandma Mo only felt gratified.

It was good that the relationship between the two of them had eased and they were getting along well. She was hoping to hold a great-grandson soon.

"Give them space to be alone. Don't let any servants go near the house and ruin things for the two of them."

"Let them take this time to deepen their relationship."

"I hope that they have resolved the issues between them and everything will get better."

"I hope so too." Aunt Wu replied as she sighed. She was the most depressed watching the two of them ignore each other even though they live in the same house. But now that things had gotten better, she almost wanted to make a trip to the temple to light incense and thank the gods for such a miracle.

On the other side in the kitchen, Mo Shian was displaying his culinary skills. Even though he had not cooked for a long time. He could still make dishes that rival a top chef in a five star restaurant. When he was studying abroad, he could not get used to the food there. Hence, he started to cook for himself and within a short while, he was already very adept in the art of cooking.

This was the first time he was cooking for Weiwei, so he made all her favorite dishes including sweet and sour pork, shredded potatoes, braised fish, chicken in honey sauce, and fried rice.

He wanted to make it a candle lit dinner, but once he remembered that Weiwei was on her period, he changed his mind.

It was okay for them to just have dinner normally, just the two of them. He was already over the moon over the fact that he could cook for her. He hoped that she will love the dishes he had made for her.

By 6.00 pm he had already finished cooking all the dishes. He went upstairs to freshen up in the guest bedroom then went to the master bedroom to call Weiwei for dinner.
