Sports competition

After the training, everyone returned to the palace. That night, Maya was deeply engrossed in her thoughts while seeing the moon in the sky through the window of her lodging room.

Maya was staying at a hostel in Colombo with her friend Sahana while pursuing higher studies. Maya's mother, father, and younger brother were planning to celebrate her twenty-second birthday. Sadly, all three tragically died in an accident while traveling to Colombo to see Maya on her birthday. That incident has left an indelible scar on Maya's mind. From that day to this, Maya has not celebrated her birthday.

"Mom! Dad! I miss you both. It feels like I want to see you." As she pondered this thought, tears welled up in her eyes, rolling down her cheeks.

The next morning, Maya went to the training ground with the princes.

For a week, she diligently ran errands, assisting the princes with their morning practice and preparing the necessary items for the following day's training.

Maya also devised some clever tricks to observe the princes during their training.

The day of the game finally arrived. Visitors streamed into the stadium through the four directional gates.

Shesha covered his face with a cloth, revealing only his eyes. Maya, who was helping him prepare, looked at him, gently placing her hands near his face to apply the red saffron to his forehead.

Their eyes met. Maya's face glowed in the sunlight, and Shesha's eyes sparkled like gold. Shesha's heart began to beat rapidly, as if it were racing with a horse. His fingers clenched tightly on his lap as he gazed at Maya's face.

Maya carefully applied the saffron to Shesha's forehead and stepped back slightly. "Prince! I pray to God Shiva for your success," she said and departed.

The entire stadium erupted with cheers from the spectators. Everyone except Maya was exhilarated.

"I don't know what danger awaits the prince! I don't understand how he will survive," she worried, exiting the stadium grounds.

As she walked along the stadium sidewalk, she noticed three individuals attempting to enter the stadium, dressed in purple and black attire.

"Who are these people? They look strange!" Maya followed them cautiously.

Entering the grounds, the trio proceeded directly towards the room where Prince Shesha was staying. Maya followed discreetly, avoiding their gaze.

The trio overpowered the soldiers guarding the prince's room door with their weapons and stormed into the room.

"Is this the danger?" Maya rushed towards them, attempting to attack them. One of the three stopped her, saying, "How dare you attack us?" He grabbed her hair tightly, pulling her head back.

Unable to endure the pain, she slapped his hand hard, crying, "Let me go! Let me go." But he refused to release her hair.

The other two smirked at her. Maya scratched his arm with her nails. Enraged by the bleeding wound, he struck her with a dagger.

Blood trickled from her hands. Tears streamed down her face like pearls.

At that moment, Rudra, who had arrived to escort Shesha, witnessed the scene. As Rudra rushed towards them, sword drawn, Shesha also emerged from the room.

Upon seeing them, the trio abandoned Maya and disappeared. Maya collapsed to the ground, dazed. Rudra quickly caught her in his arms.

Maya closed her eyes, gazing at Rudra's face. Taking Maya from Rudra into his arms, Shesha went to the palace hospital and showed her to the doctor. Looking at Rudra's face, he said, "Rudra! Take care of Maya." Then, he went to the arena to participate in the match. However, his whole mind was on Maya.

Maya slowly opened her eyes in the palace hospital. The first thing she saw was Rudra's face. Slowly sitting up from the bed, Maya looked at Rudra and said, "Thank you for protecting me."

He smiled at her and asked, "How are you feeling now?" As he spoke, he offered her tea to drink. Rudra's care for Maya touched her deeply. Maya began to fall for Rudra.

She accepted the tea and drank it. "Is the match over, prince?" she inquired.

"Yes! The competition is over. I have some urgent business to attend to, Maya. I'll send the maids to assist you if you need anything. Rest for a while," he said.

"The competition is over, I have survived," she thought happily, finishing the tea.

Rudra, moving with lightning speed, met Shesha and asked, "Elder brother! Do you know anything about those who attacked you today?"

"Rudra," Shesha replied, "Those three were apprehended by our soldiers and are now in our security tent in the eastern direction. We will go there."

They both mounted their horses and galloped towards the tent. The three assailants were unconscious, their hands bound behind their backs.

They filled a bucket with water and poured it over them, reviving them. They began to interrogate them, but initially, the three refused to speak. However, they eventually confessed.

Just as they started to reveal the truth, arrows rained down from multiple directions, killing all three.

Everyone present rushed towards the direction of the arrows. Returning to where the princes were, the soldiers presented a token to Shesha and said, "It was found under the tree in the direction of the arrows."

Shesha and Rudra examined it and exchanged shocked glances. They returned to the palace and informed General Bharana of what had transpired.

"What! The Yaksha Clan?" General Bharana exclaimed in shock, looking at the two princes. "Leave this matter to me, prince! I will find those who responsible for this crime," he said and departed.after that shesha went to his room.

Maya went to clean Prince Shesha's room, thinking, “It's been more than two weeks since I came here. Why hasn't the heroine of this story come yet?In the real story, the heroine is very fond of Sesha, but Sesha never loved her until the end. However, since I became immersed in the story, everything has been topsy-turvy. The events depicted in the story differ significantly from what is happening in reality. I am struggling to reconcile the heroine, Nisha, with Prince Shesha in this altered scenario”

Deep in thought, she tripped and fell down. There was nothing to grab onto to prevent her fall, so she instinctively grabbed the sleeve of the dress of someone standing in front of her.

She held onto the arm tightly.

Unexpectedly, not only did she fall, but the force of her fall also tore the sleeve of the man's dress, along with her arm.

The man looked back at Maya. "Oh! Prince," she exclaimed in shock, quickly standing up and looking alternately at the sleeve of the dress in her hands and the prince's face.

The prince looked at her angrily and shouted, "Maya!" His screams echoed throughout the mansion. Looking at her face, the prince couldn't bring himself to scold her. He

took the torn sleeve from her hands and quickly walked away.
