"Maya! You gotta go to the Vesak festival on Friday as the prince's maid," Vijaya said, entering the room where the maids stayed.
Maya don't wanted to go but she didn't have any other options so she just said, "Okay."
The next morning, Maya filled the bathtub with warm water for the prince to bath. She even added a little jasmine balm and rose petals and light up some candles to make it extra special. Suddenly, Shesha walked into the bathroom.
Maya tried to slip out, but Shesha stopped her. "Help me bathe," he said.
Maya was completely shocked, but she helped him anyway. As she slowly poured water over Shesha, he suddenly grabbed her hand. Maya's hands started trembling. Their eyes met. Shesha slowly took the bucket from her.
"How long are you gonna keep staring at me?" he asked. Maya didn't say anything. "I can bathe myself, you can go now," Shesha said.
After that, Maya practically flew out of the bathroom. The guard came in right after her. "I won't tell anyone about what happened today, your highness," he said to the prince.
"You always show up at the wrong time," Shesha thought to himself. And said "Nothing happened like as you think"
Maya, who was running out of the bathroom, bumped into Rudhra. "I'm so sorry, Second Prince!" she exclaimed. Even though he was annoyed, he couldn't help but laugh at her innocent face. Trying to hide his amusement, he asked, "Are you going with the prince to the Vesak festival tomorrow?"
"Yes, Prince," Maya replied.
He smiled at her and walked away. His smile confused Maya. She thought, "Why did he smile at me like that?"
Later, while Maya was cleaning the palace garden, she was trying to decide what to wear to the Vesak festival.
Suddenly, Shesha appeared. "Come to my room," he said, then turned and walked away.
"Why is he calling me?" Maya wondered, but she followed him.
Shesha entered his room, grabbed a bag from the table, and handed it to Maya.
Maya was curious about what was inside. She opened it to find a beautiful blue skirt, a white blouse, a long white and blue shawl, some jewelry, cosmetics, and even a pair of beautiful shoes!
She looked at everything in the bag, amazed. "Prince! Did you buy all this for me? Thank you so much!" she said. As she looked at her happy face, Shesha remembered many old memories.
"Your welcome. You can go now, get back to work," he said, sitting down in a chair. He started thinking about something that had happened in the past.
About two hundred years ago, Shesha had traveled to Gohanna to train. He stayed there for many years, practicing his skills.
One day, while training, he found a tiny white tiger cub lying unconscious with serious injuries. He took the cub with him and treated its wounds.
He named the tiger "Hima." Every day, he brought fish from the sea to feed her. He bathed her and took care of her.
One day, while he was preparing to bathe the cub, Hima disappeared. "Hima! Hima! Where are you? Come out!" he called, searching everywhere.
Rudhra arrived unexpectedly. Seeing Shesha looking for something, he asked, "What are you looking for, big brother?"
Shesha explained the situation with the tiger cub. Rudhra listened and said, "Don't worry, big brother! I can help you find Hima with my senses."
A circle of blue light appeared around him. A few minutes later, he opened his eyes wide and said, "Hima is in danger!"
Shesha and Rudhra flew to the location where Hima was.
Hima was hiding under a tree, terrified of the wolves. The wolves were attacking her viciously.
Just as a wolf leaped to attack Hima, a powerful force knocked it away.
Rudhra and Shesha landed in front of Hima. Seeing them, Hima ran towards Shesha.
A wolf transformed into a man. "Hey, kid," he growled, "you messed with the wrong people." Two other wolves transformed into women.
"Don't talk too much," Rudhra said. "I don't have time for this. If you're so brave, come and fight us!"
Shesha was shocked by Rudhra's words. He looked at Rudhra and thought, "Why are you always looking for trouble?"
The wolf man stepped forward to fight them. Rudhra dodged his attack and flew towards him, sword raised. The wolf man's sharp claws clashed with Rudhra's sword.
Rudhra spun around and threw his sword. The wolf man blocked it with his hands and attacked Rudhra.
Rudhra's eyes were scratched. Shesha, who had been watching the fight, quickly moved to Rudhra's side.
Shesha wiped the blood from Rudhra's eyes with his fingers and glared at the wolfman. Shesha's eyes turned teal green. His hair whipped around him in the wind.
He smiled at the wolf man and said, "I'm not the one who messed with the wrong people. It's you."
Shesha threw the peacock feather from his hair. Everything around them froze. Shesha moved with lightning speed towards the wolf man, pulled out the knife from his hip, and slit the wolf man's throat. He returned to Rudhra and caught the falling peacock feather.
Blood gushed from the wolf man's neck as he fell to the ground. The two female wolves were terrified and fled the scene.
Shesha then took Rudhra and Hima back to their place.
They both bathed, and Shesha bathed Hima and prepared to sleep.
Shesha and Rudhra lay on either side of the bed with Hima between them.
When morning came, Shesha woke up to the feeling of a hand on his chest. He thought it was Rudhra's hand and said, "Rudhra, take your hand off my chest."
He slowly opened his eyes and looked at the person sleeping beside him. He couldn't believe his eyes. "Ahhhhh!" he screamed and tried to get out of bed, falling off in the process.
Rudhra woke up with a start. "What happened? Did someone attack us?" he asked, then looked at the bed. He gasped and covered his mouth with his hand. He jumped out of bed.
"Who is this girl?" Rudhra asked in shock.
"I don't know," Shesha replied. They both waited for the girl to wake up.
The girl stretched, yawning to shake off the sleepiness.
She smiled at Shesha and Rudhra and said, 'Good morning, guys!'
Shesha, who'd been watching her from the corner of the room, unsheathed his sword as she stood up. 'Who are you? How'd you get in here? Where's Hima?' he demanded.
The woman looked at Shesha, confused. 'Don't you recognize me? I am Hima.'
Shesha and Rudhra were both stunned. There eyes widened as they heard her reply. 'What do you mean, "you are Hima"?!'”
