'Elsa's parents...'
Could he bring them back? Using resurrection magic?
The idea seemed plausible, if he had a corpse, resurrection magic could work. But to restore them without a body, he'd need something akin to Ainz's guild functions, and he had no knowledge of how to access that.
'In the first place… are they even dead?'
He recalled their broken ship and their ethereal visages appearing in the enchanted forest.
'Now that I think about it, they might really be dead.'
But then again, what kind of world was this? Disney!
Happy endings!
"Elsa, I need to visit the magic forest."
"Magic forest?" Elsa asked, tilting her head slightly.
"Yes, there's something wrong in there, and it could affect Arendelle."
Elsa's eyes widened. "Is Arendelle in danger?"
"Potentially. That's why I want to investigate."
"Then let's go! I know the way!"
Lioro smiled at her eagerness. "We can go tomorrow. Let's postpone the departure for a few days. You must be tired, so go and rest today."
Elsa hesitated but eventually nodded. "Alright."
She turned to leave, but just before closing the door, she peeked her head back inside, her voice softer than before.
"Good night, Lioro."
Lioro blinked, then turned to her, a small smile tugging at his lips. Seeing Elsa peeking at him from the doorframe, he laughed lightly and responded.
"Good night, Elsa."
----
The following morning, Lioro summoned his Frost Dragon King armor from the void.
Kristoff, upon seeing it, stood frozen in awe before muttering, "HO-LY CARROTS!"
The armor was stunning, majestic, powerful, and radiating an icy aura befitting its legendary status.
A single tear slid down Kristoff's face.
"I-It's beautiful…"
Anna, equally shocked, turned to him. "Kristoff… are you crying?"
Kristoff sniffled. "Anna, these are tears of happiness."
Elsa's eyes shone as she gazed at the armor. For some reason, she felt an innate connection to it. Crafted from the remains of the Frost Dragon King, it was perfectly aligned with her ice abilities.
Unfortunately, the armor's magic requirements prevented her from wearing it.
Lioro smirked and struck a few poses, holding his shield and spear. "How is it? Don't I look handsome?"
Anna and Elsa exchanged glances before bursting into laughter.
"You look amazing, Lioro!"
"Yes, like a knight from a fairytale!"
Inside the armor, Lioro smiled contently.
Kristoff suddenly stepped forward and, to everyone's shock, fell to his knees before Lioro.
"Lioro—No! Master Wizard! Please… allow me to wear this armor! Just once!"
Lioro shook his head. "You can't. It has strict magic requirements."
"Nooooo!" Kristoff wailed, shaking his fists at the sky. "The unfairness of the world!"
Anna hurried to console him. "K-Kristoff, don't be sad! There's plenty of armor inside the castle…"
Kristoff shook his head in despair. "But it won't be the same…"
Lioro scratched the back of his head before sighing. "I can make you a simpler one if you like."
His words hit them like a bombshell.
"You can make armor?!" x3
They all shouted at the same time.
"Of course," Lioro said matter-of-factly. "I made this one myself. I can also craft weapons and a lot more."
Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff looked at Lioro with newfound admiration.
He was a powerful wizard, a master blacksmith, wealthy, and even handsome. A complete package!
Kristoff wiped his tears, stood up, and declared, "If I were a woman, I'd marry you."
"Kristoff!" Anna yelled, scandalized.
Lioro shot him a weird look. "You want that armor or not?"
Kristoff immediately dropped to his knees again. "Please, Master Wizard! Make one for me!"
Anna groaned, pressing her hand to her forehead. "Oh, Kristoff…"
Elsa stepped forward, hesitating slightly before asking, "Lioro… can you make one for me as well?"
Lioro nodded. "Okay."
Anna blinked. "Ahem… um… can I get one too?"
"Sure."
Excitement filled the air. Just then, a wooden hand shot up.
"What about me?! What about me?!" Olaf suddenly appeared, carrying a small magic book. He was even wearing glasses.
"Olaf?! Where have you been?" Anna asked, surprised. "You disappeared for days! And… why are you wearing glasses?"
Olaf sighed dramatically. "Anna, please… call me Master Wizard Olaf from now on, for I have begun my journey to become an Archmage."
"...What?" Anna gawked.
Kristoff gave him a look of pure skepticism.
Elsa stared at him in mild curiosity.
Lioro, meanwhile, glanced at the book Olaf was holding.
'Basic introduction to magic… it only a few Tier 0 spells.'
Seeing the snowman's serious expression, Lioro didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
It seemed anyone could aspire to become an Archmage these days.
But he didn't mock him. After all…
Thirty years to the east! Thirty years to the west! Don't bully the young man—wait snowman!
Olaf grinned. "Lioro, as a fellow Master Wizard, could you also make armor for me?"
Lioro looked at him flatly.
"No."
'You, a Tier -1 snowman, dare to call us equals?'
He was a Tier 10, all-rounded magic powerhouse! If it had been anyone else, they would've melted the snowman for such disrespect!
Also… why would a snowman need armor? It's not like he was joining the Canadian military.
"Urgh…" Olaf slumped in disappointment.
Lioro ignored him. And before a reindeer could come and ask for armor next, he quickly changed the subject.
"I'm visiting the magic forest with Elsa."
"The one Father told us about?" Anna asked.
Elsa nodded. "Lioro believes something in there is threatening Arendelle."
Anna and Kristoff tensed. "What?!"
"Relax," Lioro said casually, shrugging. "I'll handle it."
Anna exhaled in relief. "That's reassuring…"
Kristoff rubbed his chin. "But how will you get there? The magic forest is far—"
Lioro smirked. "I have a solution. Elsa, come here."
Elsa blinked and stepped forward.
Before she could react, Lioro swept her into a princess carry.
Anna and Kristoff gawked in shock.
"How bold…" Olaf muttered, adjusting his glasses.
Elsa's face turned red.
Just as she opened her mouth to protest, a pair of large, imposing dragon wings unfurled from Lioro's back.
Anna and Kristoff's eyes enlarged.
With a powerful leap, Lioro soared into the sky, taking Elsa with him.
As they ascended, Elsa's startled voice echoed through the air, followed by laughter.
Anna stared after them, pouting. "I'm soooo jealous…"
"Yeah, me too…" Kristoff muttered.
----
Elsa's breath hitched as the wind rushed past her, carrying them higher and higher into the sky. The kingdom of Arendelle shrank beneath them, its snowy rooftops and winding streets looking like tiny patterns on a quilt. The icy fjord shimmered under the sunlight, reflecting the sky like a giant mirror.
"L-Lioro!" Elsa gasped, her arms instinctively tightening around his neck. "This is—!"
"Exciting?" Lioro said, adjusting his grip on her. His frost dragon wings beat with power, sending them gliding smoothly through the crisp air.
Elsa blinked, her usual composed demeanor breaking as a childlike wonder lit up her face. "I've never flown before..." she admitted, her voice filled with awe.
"Then hold on tight," Lioro grinned. "Because we're not just flying."
With a powerful flap of his wings, they shot forward, weaving through the clouds. Elsa let out a surprised yelp before it turned into laughter. The wind played with her platinum hair, and the cold air against her skin felt exhilarating rather than harsh.
Lioro took them lower, skimming over the valleys and the dense forests surrounding Arendelle. The mountain peaks stood tall around them, their icy summits gleaming under the morning sun. As they passed over a river, Elsa reached out, her fingers grazing the water's surface, creating a thin trail of frost in their wake.
"That was beautiful," Lioro commented, watching the ice spread in elegant swirls before melting back into the flowing stream.
Elsa smiled, her expression filled with pure joy. "I never thought I'd experience something like this."
Lioro smiled lightly. "Well, you're with me now. Expect the unexpected."
Elsa's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly turned her gaze back to the horizon.
They flew past the kingdom's outer villages, surprising farmers and traders below. Some pointed in shock, others waved excitedly. A little girl near a windmill clutched her mother's skirt and squealed, "Look, Mama! A prince and a princess are flying!"
Lioro hummed. "Prince? Guess I should've worn a crown."
Elsa added. "I think your armor is impressive enough."
Suddenly, Lioro tilted sideways, taking them into a spiraling dive down a narrow canyon. Elsa gasped but didn't panic, trusting his control. The walls of the canyon blurred past them, and she could see waterfalls cascading down from the cliffs above. Lioro spun once before pulling up at the last second, shooting them back into the sky with a rush of speed.
Elsa's laughter rang out like wind chimes. "That was incredible!"
"You liked that?" Lioro grinned. "Then hold on."
He dove again, this time flipping upside down mid-air. Elsa found herself momentarily weightless, clinging to him in shock and excitement.
"Lioro!!"
"Relax, I've got you."
He righted them smoothly, his wings flaring as they glided past a flock of birds. The creatures scattered in surprise, their feathers catching the light like tiny jewels.
Elsa exhaled, catching her breath. "You really like showing off, don't you?"
"There's a reason I made this armor look flashy," Lioro said.
Elsa rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile.
Then under Elsa's guidance, they flew in the direction of the magic forest.
After some time they saw their destination in the distance, a huge curtain of thick mist covered the entire place. It looked mysterious yet inviting, the shifting colors of magic flickering within.
Lioro's eyes narrowed slightly. "There it is."
Elsa, sensing his change in tone, focused as well. "The magic forest..."
----
Under Lioro's control, they descended carefully, landing just before the thick wall of mist.
As soon as they approached, a message appeared in Lioro's vision.
[5th Tier Magic "Magic Fog Barrier" has been discovered… Would you like to spend one skill point to learn it?]
'Yes.'
With that, he acquired his first area control spell.
Gently placing Elsa back on the ground, Lioro reached out to touch the mist.
Just as in the original story, the fog resisted, pushing his hand back ever so slightly.
Though…
'The resistance is weak. I could break through if I wanted to.' He withdrew his hand, deciding against it.
After all, brute force wasn't necessary when he had the key.
He turned to Elsa, who was also reaching for the fog out of curiosity.
The moment her fingertips brushed against it, the mist shifted, parting to create an entrance.
Elsa's eyes widened in surprise.
Without hesitation, Lioro dismissed his armor, returning to his usual attire before stepping forward with Elsa into the forest beyond.
The fog behind them swiftly closed, sealing them inside. This time, even Elsa found herself unable to walk back through it.
Of course, Lioro could break through just fine if needed.
Elsa looked around, taking in the towering trees and thick vegetation surrounding them. "The enchanted forest…" she murmured in awe.
Suddenly, a faint, haunting melody drifted through the air.
Elsa tensed and turned toward Lioro. "Did you hear that?"
"A singing voice?" Lioro asked, recalling the original movie. 'Must be the spirits calling to her.'
Elsa nodded. "Yes…"
"Well, let's follow it."
With their direction set, they moved deeper into the woods, following the ghostly tune.
They had only just started passing through when a powerful tornado erupted before them, twisting violently as it rushed toward them.
"What?!" Elsa gasped, instinctively stepping back.
Lioro didn't even flinch. With a thought, Infinity expanded around them, forming an invisible barrier.
The raging winds howled, swirling around them, but not a single strand of Elsa's hair was disturbed.
Elsa's eyes widened as she stared at the furious storm, which seemed to struggle against an unseen force.
"Why don't you try freezing it?" Lioro suggested casually.
Elsa blinked, then turned back toward the tornado. "…Freezing?"
Before she could think further, the wind surged again, growing more erratic.
Elsa narrowed her eyes. Raising both hands, she released twin beams of frost, shooting them straight into the storm.
The ice coiled into the cyclone, spiraling within the winds before—
A sudden explosion of snowflakes filled the air.
And as the tornado faded, ice statues formed around them.
"These are?....memories?", Elsa muttered.
Suddenly the sound of footsteps rang out.
Two groups emerged from different sides, one wearing armor while the other in tribal clothing.
"These are… Arendelle's guards," she whispered, eyes widening as she looked at the wearing armor.
