Kingdom of Haven

The more I think about it the more I realize my true feelings. Am I really that angry? No. I feel more of emptiness than anger. So why am I doing all of this? To get revenge on the goddess? Someone who's not even on the physical world? Then again, as I noticed from earlier, I got power from a dream. A dream that told me about revenge. The one that did that obviously wants me to get revenge on the goddess considering the power that they gave me. If I use it well, I can become infinitely stronger. This may allow me to get my revenge on anyone. Even a deity.

We arrived at a town in Havvothj'air to free any slaves. But the town wasn't quite right. Once we got to the gate, we saw two elf women. Beaten and bruised and chained to the gate while wearing knight armor. We freed them then used healing magic to heal them.

"Why are you here?" I asked. But they didn't answer. Instead they looked at me, horrified and shaking. Then Giselle came and pushed me away as she comforted them. I decided to sneak a peek inside the town but my mood darkened by what I saw.

"Are you okay to talk now?" Giselle asked the elves. "What happened? Why are you here?"

One gathered up the courage to answer, "T... T... The humans chained us here to pretend that we are guards."

"But why?"

"So they could escape the town." The other answered. "They used us as distraction for the frost god. If it were to attack an empty town, it would finish quicker or maybe even ignore it and go after them. We were put it here to slow it down."

"But there's only two of you."

"Giselle." I called to her. "Come look." She came to me and looked inside the gate and was horrified by the site. Along the main road were elves and beast people, all chained to were they stood, looking hungry and sickly. We put the other two in a safe place and walked in. They all looked at me with fear, probably because I was a human.

For a while, all I saw were demi humans. No humans were there. How long have they been like that? They were left by humans as bait without food or water. We freed them and used healing magic on them. Then we looked some more and, in the middle of the city, we found a pile of demi human corpses. A huge one. When we asked one of the demi humans why they were there, he said that it was to ensure that the frost god was lured here so the humans could escape further.

And here I thought that what I'm doing was for no reason. I though that I wasn't feeling anything. That I'm not angry. It turns out, I was lying to myself. I thought this while clenching my fist in anger. We left the town and went back to sector B with the slaves. 120 elves, 147 beast people, 12 dwarves and 263 corpses, which I carried in a storage dimension skill.

The ones that reunited with their loved ones were happy. Even if they were dead. They still appreciated my efforts to bring them back. Our numbers had grown steadily as we brought back more and more slaves from all the cities of the kingdom. Then I remembered something when we were back.

"Oh, I forgot to mention that I had others hidden in the forest."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Giselle asked.

"When I destroyed Crinelis, I teleported the slaves there to a secure location in the forest on the outskirts of Havvothj'air. Let me bring them back." Then I used my skill to activate a teleportation circle and they appeared. Apparently, they survived by eating fruits and hunting in that area. So they were mostly healthy.

I didn't notice Giselle looking at me in amazement. She thought that I was evil because of how I destroyed an entire kingdom without sympathy. Now she thinks that I'm not a bad person.

The numbers had grown. Everyone was ready. The time had come.

"Everyone." I started as I addressed those present. "Today is the day we begin to build. There's land, resources and hands that need to be put to good use. Lets build a nation like none other. A nation for all to live together peacefully. A safe haven for all. Lets build the Kingdom of Haven." They all cheered.

After a while of discussing, we decided to have the city at the center of sector B. We also decided to take the land from Crinelis and Havvothj'air as part of our kingdom. A new map of the continent was drawn by the dwarves. From west to north east. All belonged to the kingdom of Haven. Even the other sector which I didn't visit. Since it doesn't belong to any humans, we made it part of our own. This was my suggestion since we could talk with any monsters there and make an agreement easily. So long as they were monsters.

People of all races came together to make a blueprint of the city. Then they gave it to me to have a look. With all that needed to be built, it'll take at least a few months. That's when I got the idea. I have a skill to create anything as long as I have the mana for it. This should be easy. I made a mental image of what the city should look like from the blueprint. Then I made everything with magic. The entire city. Exactly how the blueprint looked. This left everyone in shock.

The city was huge and well arranged. For the first design, it was pretty good. Then at the center was a palace. Bigger than the one in Havvothj'air. This was where all the meetings were to take place. It was also where the four lords were to live. It was beautiful. Everyone moved in and life began.

Dwarves made weapons and other tools since they were good at it, while the rest of the works were done by any race. Farms were grown since crops grew by 2 days and were ready for harvest. This was thanks to me, of course. Some made shops that used the continent's currency. I saw one and was able to copy it pretty easily as long as I had the resources, which I also made. A total of seven million coins which I distributed to each house equally. For them to earn more, they had to work.

Life was pretty peaceful. So I decided to look for other captured demi humans and bring them back so they may also enjoy this. My target, the south western kingdom. The Aetheria kingdom. Smaller than Havvothj'air but has a long coastline. Giselle insisted on coming along. I agreed even though I had other plans.

Our first stop, the border town, Relvina. A town on the border of Aetheria and Havvothj'air, which is now haven. We snuck in via a teleportation circle and looked for a place to stay first. We found a room at an inn and decided to spend the night there. But we didn't think about somethings. This made the night very awkward. We didn't say a word to each other and only had weird thoughts. It was too uncomfortable for obvious reasons. So I left and promised to be back after a short while.

When I got out, I was able to confirm my suspicion, after bringing my head together. I felt weak mana from outside the walls of the city when I was in the inn. At first I ignored it. But the mana source, though weak, grew in number and approached. It was like an army. I went to investigate.

Meanwhile at the city walls, there were some guards on the top discussing among themselves around a fire under the night sky.

"Hey, I heard that the entire Havvothj'air kingdom was abandoned by its people." The first soldier said.

"Who wouldn't after the fall of their capital to such a scary monster." The second replied.

"Oh yeah the monster. What was it again?"

"How could you forget? It was the dragon lord."

"Yeah. Some call it the frost god. But why would it attack?" The third said.

"Its a monster. That's what monsters do. The main question should be where it came from."

"Isn't it the lord of sector B? Then it obviously came from there. But why attack now? Why not before or in the future?"

"Do you think its related to the Heaven's Tower that destroyed Crinelis?"

"It must be. Those are two ginormous events to happen so close to each other in terms of time and place."

"Yeah. That's true."

After a moment of silence, "I'm gonna ask the question that everyone is thinking right now. Will our kingdom be next?"

"Hey. Don't say such things."

"But it makes sense considering how close we are to those two."

"How about we just don't think about it."

"Agreed." They all said in unison. Then they heard another guard shout from a distance."

"Emergency! Emergency! The city is under attack.

They were shocked and ran to the area being attacked. They were skeletons. Weak but an army. A huge army in fact. And they were chanting something as they approached but it couldn't be heard. They were too close to the walls to gather up soldiers for defense.

"How did they get so close without us noticing? Send word to the lord. The rest of us prepare for a fight." Their commander said as he thought, 'Dammit. They came out of nowhere. Looks like our kingdom really is next.'

"Hold on just for a moment kind sirs." I said while seated down on the edge of the wall. "Allow me to take care of this." Wow. This is so perfectly timed that I'd say it was meant for me.

"Who are you?" The commander asked.

"That's not important right now." Then I looked at the approaching army. Skeletons? I haven't seen those yet. Create a skill that turns anything I want into nothing.

"You have made a non existing skill. Would you like to name it?" Clara said.

Lets call it... 'Instant Decimation'.

"You have obtained the new skill."

Alright lets try it out. I lifted my arm to point at the army of skeletons and said, "Instant Decimation." And the entire army slowly turned into ash then they all eventually disappeared. This shocked those present who wondered how its possible to kill an entire army by myself and with one skill. They asked questions among themselves but I didn't stick around to listen and left. The commander began to wonder who I was.

One skeleton that was left behind was captured. The soldiers who captured it called the commander and told him to go take a look. When they got to it, they heard what it was saying.

"The age of the new demon lord is upon us. Let us take up arms and begin preparations. The age of the new demon lord is upon us. Let us take up arms and begin preparations." It repeated and repeated multiple times. Every time, it struck the guards more and more.

"Is this it? Is this the end of the world."

"Calm down." The commander reassured them. "How many more times has a demon lord appeared? The world hasn't ended in all those times."

"But there was never a Heaven's Tower back then and two kingdoms have already been destroyed. What else could this be but the end of the world?"

'He's right.' He thought. 'This time, it's worse than ever before.' Looking up. 'Goddess. Please help us.'

I hadn't returned for quite a while. Giselle began being worried. So she went out to look for me. As she was out, she wore an accessory on her ear that made her appear like a human in public. She walked around the city, which was still pretty lively, to look for me. But she never found me. Men kept trying to approach her so she ran until she escaped.

The more time passed the more she was worried, eventually turning into panic. Because of this, she didn't notice the shadowy figure of a woman from the top of a building watching her. The wall of the building collapsed towards her direction but she dodged it. The dust cleared up. People gathered to see what happened. Then they were filled with disgust.

Giselle's accessory fell off and the people could see that she was an elf. Then they bombarded her with insults. "What did you do? Such a vile creature out and in the open. Where's your owner? He should pay for your damage. He'll beat you up and teach you a lesson. Come on. Lets do it ourselves". Then they picked up stones and began to throw them at her. But she grabbed each one and threw them back. This made the people panic and run away.

"You disgusting excuse of a living being." A woman's voice from the building was heard then she appeared. She had long black hair and wore a look of disgust on her face. Giselle was on guard for she felt her aura.

'She's strong.' She thought. 'Possibly an S class. I may not be able to beat her.'

"Such beings as yourself don't deserve the luxury of humans. Your behavior won't go unpunished." Then, in lightning speed, she appeared in front of Giselle and kicked her in the face. Then she grabbed her by the hair and face planted her into a wall multiple times. Her face began being distorted and covered in blood. Then she let her go on the ground.

"That'll remind you that your nothing more than a slave." She was about to leave as Giselle, lying down on the ground, was wondering, 'I don't get it. What did I ever do to deserve this. We did nothing wrong. So why are we treated like this by all humans. Why ae they all like this to us.' She began to close her eyes when I appeared and used healing magic on her. Then I confirmed if she was alright to which she responded that she's fine.

Then the other woman who was walking away stopped and turned around.

"Your healing an elf? Have you lost your mind or have you decided to join her. If that's the case then..." She didn't finish because of being shocked. I was right in front of her. she jumped and remained in the air. "How did you do that?"

At first I planned to do the same thing she did to Giselle to her but then I thought that it won't be enough. So I opened my eye furiously and thought of doing the thing that has most disturbed me. By solidifying mana, I was able to make it into a shape of an arm. I finally had two arms after so long. Even though one looked pure black. I brought my hands close together but left a space in between. And a golden eye appeared in the space that did the same thing as the one by Nephilim.

Then I said, "Angel's eye." And a golden beam of energy came from my hands. Much bigger than the one by Nephilim. The woman didn't move out of the way as the attack was headed straight for her. She braced herself but wasn't hit. It went passed her. She was so shocked that she fell on the ground.

"Don't do it." It was Giselle who wrapped herself around me.

"Now's not the time to show her mercy. This isn't a child's story about being a hero."

"I'm not showing her mercy. I know her. She's with the hero. The one from 400 years ago. She's known every where. That hero is too strong. If you attack her, she will come next."

As we were talking, a sound from the sky could be heard. All three of us looked where it came from. None of us expected the sight. A chunk of the side of the smaller moon wasn't there. It was from my attack. The woman who was with us was too scared to stay there and ran away. I had to let her go.

"Giselle, tell me about this hero." I said. She nodded and began.

"The hero first appeared 400 years. She was summoned by the goddess for one purpose only, to kill the monarch beast and his followers. Only the monarch beast was killed. His followers survived and hid, later becoming the sector lords. Since a hero can't die unless they finish their goal, the goddess allows it or they're killed, she spent this entire time attacking demi human villages. Burning all of them mercilessly and killing anyone that came in her way. Even if it were humans. For this reason she was labelled as 'The Rogue Hero'.

I thought for a little then answered. "If she's so powerful, then why didn't she kill the four lords? She obviously knew that they were her targets from all those years ago... She's playing with them. If that's the case, then she's waiting. She's been waiting this whole time." After a short pause. "We have to go back. Now." Then we immediately left.

At this time, the woman went back to the hero who was on a balcony of her mansion. She knelt down in front of her in fear and began speaking.

"My lady. There's something I think you may wish to know."

"What is it?"

"It's someone that I met. Someone powerful. Very very powerful."

"Does what you're about to tell me have something to do with that?" She said as she pointed at the moon with the hole.

"Y... Yes, my lady. He's the one that caused it. To protect an elf."

"An elf, you say." She laughed hysterically. "I see, then I know exactly where to go next." She turned to leave then said, "Stay here. I'll go by myself." The woman bowed. As she left, she had a thought.

'Finally. An excuse to come to you earlier. Let's see what you can do... Heaven's favored.'

We arrived back at the city and wasted no time to inform the others. The four lords were gathered and I immediately began to explain the situation.

"Listen up... Prepare yourselves... War is coming."
