Jiwoo's words echoed in Kaizer's mind like a haunting refrain.
"I've been reborn."
Again and again, those words replayed, sending a chill down his spine.
Not only did this revelation complicate his mission, but it also made Jiwoo an unpredictable variable. Kaizer's brows furrowed as he turned to Cuva, his voice sharp with suspicion.
"Are you sure this world is E-grade?" he demanded. "E-grade worlds are supposed to be the easiest, but this... this doesn't feel easy."
[Cuva: Host, believe me, this is one of the easiest worlds. I even confirmed it with the system administrator.]
Kaizer's eyes darkened. "Then explain Jiwoo's rebirth."
[Cuva: Host… I don't know. Every time I try to contact the system administrator about it, the connection gets disrupted. And now... I can't even contact the main world head quarters.]
Kaizer's breath hitched. "What?!"
Dread clawed at his chest. Was someone interfering with his mission, or was it just his own rotten luck at play again? First, the shocking revelation of Jiwoo's rebirth, and now this. An agent losing connection to the main world while trapped in a fictional reality meant only one thing—being stranded. If he couldn't hop to the next world, he would be doomed to perish here.
The mere thought made his stomach churn. Being stuck in this world was one thing, but being stuck here with a madman like Jiwoo? That was a nightmare in itself.
[Cuva: Host, don't worry. I'm trying to reestablish the connection. Everything will be sorted out—]
Before Cuva could finish, a chillingly familiar voice interrupted.
"Honey~ what are you thinking? Don't tell me you're planning to run away."
Kaizer froze as an arm wrapped possessively around his waist. His blood ran cold.
Jiwoo was back.
"Looks like I'll have to seal the windows too, just like I did with the doors." Jiwoo's voice was a hushed murmur, but the threat was clear. His dark eyes flickered toward the massive windows Kaizer had been staring out of, lost in thought as he gazed at the dense, ominous forest beyond.
Kaizer swallowed hard. "No… it's not like that. I was just thinking…"
"Thinking about what, honey?" Jiwoo's tone was deceptively soft, laced with a quiet menace that made Kaizer's pulse quicken.
His mind raced for an excuse. "Ah… I was thinking—it would be beneficial if you let me go. You know I'm a division leader. People will come looking for me."
Kaizer forced a chuckle, his attempt at persuasion coming off shaky even to his own ears. But Jiwoo merely smiled—a slow, knowing smile that sent a shiver down Kaizer's spine.
"No one's going to look for you, love." Jiwoo sang the words as he stepped in front of him, eyes glinting with amusement. "You seem to be forgetting my position. I'm a lieutenant general—I make the decisions for all divisions, including yours. Do you really think I wouldn't have a way to keep you hidden for a month?"
Kaizer's breath hitched. His face paled as a horrifying realization dawned on him. Jiwoo had done something similar in the original storyline—to Han Yuwan, his previous obsession. To what extent had he gone this time?
Jiwoo chuckled, leaning in, his lips brushing against Kaizer's ear as he whispered, "I forged an application for your leave, complete with your signature. Verified and approved, all thanks to my authority. No one will search for you. At least, not for a month."
He leaned back slightly, tilting Kaizer's chin up with a firm grip. "Next time, think of a better excuse, okay, honey?"
Before Kaizer could react, Jiwoo yanked him closer, gripping his collar before crashing their lips together in a searing kiss.
Kaizer was too stunned to respond. His body went rigid as Jiwoo took full control, forcing his tongue past Kaizer's parted lips. The kiss was aggressive, demanding—an invasion rather than an act of affection.
"Kiss me back, honey," Jiwoo mumbled against his lips, the words more of a command than a request, laced with an unmistakable warning. A silent dare: Disobey, and you'll regret it.
Kaizer swallowed hard before hesitantly kissing Jiwoo back. Their tongues tangled, a battle for dominance—one that Jiwoo won with ease.
By the time Jiwoo pulled away, both of them were panting. His gaze was dark, yet filled with adoration.
"You're such a good kisser, love," he murmured, his eyes never leaving Kaizer's face.
Kaizer barely suppressed a shudder.
Escape was no longer just an option.
It was a necessity.
Jiwoo's possessiveness was suffocating, and Kaizer knew he needed to complete his mission as soon as possible—to escape this world and hop to the next.
But Jiwoo wasn't one to be ignored.
Seeing Kaizer lost in thought, a flicker of irritation crossed Jiwoo's face. He despised it when Kaizer's attention wasn't solely on him.
"I hate it when you don't focus on me." His voice dropped, but the intensity in his gaze only deepened. "Your attention is mine. Your everything is mine. YOU are mine. Got it?"
Kaizer's breath hitched as he met Jiwoo's burning stare. The sheer depth of obsession in his eyes was terrifying. It was darker than anything Kaizer had ever witnessed—an abyss that threatened to consume him whole. His throat went dry, and the only response he could muster was a shaky nod.
"Words," Jiwoo demanded, his grip tightening around Kaizer's wrist.
"Y-Yes."
"Yes, what… honey?" Jiwoo's tone was deceptively soft, but the warning in it was unmistakable.
"Yes… I'm yours," Kaizer stammered, his heart hammering against his ribs. Jiwoo's gaze was like a black hole—inescapable, all-consuming. Resisting it felt like inviting destruction itself.
A satisfied smirk curled Jiwoo's lips. "Good boy." He leaned in, his voice a low murmur. "You are mine, and I am yours. And if anything dares to come between us… I will annihilate it."
Kaizer swallowed hard, but before he could react, Jiwoo's demeanor shifted. His expression brightened, as if he had just recalled something delightful.
"Ah, that reminds me—I got you a gift."
With a wide, almost childlike grin, Jiwoo stepped out of the room, only to return moments later, holding a large box wrapped in golden paper, tied neatly with a ribbon.
Jiwoo placed the box on the table in front of the bed and motioned for Kaizer to come closer. "Open it," he instructed with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.
Kaizer hesitated, but knowing Jiwoo's unpredictable nature, he obeyed. Slowly, he pulled at the ribbon, untying it with careful fingers before lifting the lid.
The moment he saw the contents, his stomach churned violently. Horror twisted his face as he stumbled back, the box slipping from his hands and tumbling to the floor. His retreat was so frantic that his legs hit the edge of the bed, sending him toppling onto the mattress. Tremors racked his body as his pulse skyrocketed, his wide eyes locked on the gruesome sight before him.
Inside the beautifully wrapped box was a severed human head, the eyes gruesomely plucked out, fresh blood still oozing from the empty sockets. Surrounding it were severed hands and legs, the grotesque display emanating a nauseating stench of death.
Kaizer barely had time to process the horror before Jiwoo approached, his movements unhurried and smooth, like a predator toying with its prey. He climbed onto the bed, effortlessly pinning Kaizer beneath him—one knee pressing into the mattress beside Kaizer's body while the other leg remained on the floor. A deranged grin stretched across his lips.
"Did you like my gift, honey?" he purred, his voice dripping with eerie amusement. "This is Raison Nevrr—the boy who dared to steal you from me." His fingers traced Kaizer's cheek gently, a stark contrast to the monstrosity he had just revealed. "His head, his hands, his legs—all neatly packaged just for you."
Kaizer's breath hitched. "Y-You killed him?!"
Jiwoo chuckled. "Oh yes, honey, I did. Didn't I tell you? Whoever comes between us will be annihilated. It doesn't matter who they are… or what position they hold." His smile faltered, his expression growing deadly serious.
A blaring alarm rang in Kaizer's head.

[Cuva: HOST, DO SOMETHING, OR WE WILL FAIL THE MISSION!]
Kaizer's mind raced. His body was frozen in place, but he knew he had to act—fast. Suddenly, an idea clicked in his mind. It was reckless, desperate… but it was his only chance.
Without thinking, he grabbed Jiwoo by the collar and yanked him downward, flipping their positions in one swift motion. Now, Kaizer was the one hovering over him, pinning him against the soft mattress.
Jiwoo's eyes widened in shock.
[Kaizer: Quickly search through all fictional novels, yandere guides, anything! Find something that can tame a yandere!]
[Cuva: Understood, Host—]
[Cuva: !!!]
Before Cuva could respond, Kaizer acted. He crushed his lips against Jiwoo's, taking advantage of the stunned expression on the man's face. His tongue invaded Jiwoo's mouth, dominating the kiss without hesitation.
[Kaizer: Don't waste time. Find what I need.]
[Cuva: Y-Yes, Host!]
Jiwoo let out a muffled sound, his hands pressing weakly against Kaizer's chest in protest. But Kaizer refused to relent. He deepened the kiss, pouring every ounce of feigned desperation into it, refusing to give Jiwoo a moment to think.
[Cuva: Host, I found the appropriate script for this situation!]
Finally, Kaizer pulled away, leaving Jiwoo gasping for air. Both of them were panting, but it was Jiwoo whose breaths came out in desperate, uneven gulps.
[Kaizer: Tell me what to say.]
[Cuva: Transferring the script now.]
Jiwoo barely managed to speak. "Kaizer, you—"
Kaizer silenced him by placing a finger over his lips. "Shhh… Jiwoo, you are too divine to dirty your hands with blood. You shouldn't kill people. I didn't love Raison—I was only with him because he looked like you. I've always had a crush on you, but as a B-Class Esper, I knew I could never be with an SS-Class Guide like you…"
[Cuva: Host, quickly make a sad, 'Oh, I'm so disheartened' expression!]
Kaizer forced a look of melancholy, lowering his gaze slightly.
[Kaizer: You idiot. Do you really think this cliché script will work? No one would believe something this outrageous!]
[Cuva: Host, trust me. It will work.]
[Kaizer: Keep dreaming. We're doomed.]
[Cuva: Host, if this works, will you give me that 15,000 Black Cube upgrade you've been hoarding?]
[Kaizer: You're actually betting on this?]
[Cuva: Yes!]
[Kaizer: Fine. Bet.]
Kaizer studied Jiwoo's face, trying to gauge his reaction. But Jiwoo's expression remained unreadable, his poker face giving nothing away.
[Kaizer: See? He's catching on. He knows we're lying. He's going to—]
Jiwoo's face suddenly turned crimson, his ears burning red.
Ding!

Kaizer blinked in disbelief.
[Kaizer: No way… That actually worked?!]
[Cuva: Pay up, Host. I won the bet!]
