Unexpected Guests

When Helen climbed back into Victor's car she expected questions or maybe anger from him.

She'd hidden half of her identity from her allies, deceived them into thinking there was no threat allying themselves with the Blackmoon and Stonehill packs, and yet she was greeted by nothing but silence.

Victor drove them back to the city in silence.

Helena tried to start a conversation several times, but he would only grunt in response.

Eventually, when they were at a stoplight, Helena decided that she didn't want this between them before she got home.

"Victor, say it, just say it," she demanded. "I know you learned things about me today that were unexpected."
