"Ah—"
Ryo sighed lightly and nodded. "Alright, but with your current condition, you really shouldn't be running around investigating anything. Let me treat you a little first."
With that, Ryo called over Gardevoir.
Whoosh—a soft shimmer, and Gardevoir appeared beside him. "Ryo, what's wrong?"
Ryo smiled and shook his head. "Nothing serious. I just need you to heal him a bit."
Gardevoir glanced at Nagato, then gave a gentle nod. She raised her hand and released a green pulse of energy—Healing Wave.
The healing energy hovered over Nagato before gently settling into his body. In the next moment, it merged with him entirely.
Nagato's eyes widened in shock. "Is this... my life energy recovering?"
He could hardly believe it. He could actually feel a faint recovery in his depleted life force.
Even if it was only a little—this was life energy, not ordinary chakra.
"Life energy?"
Tsunade, standing nearby, immediately turned her eyes toward Gardevoir, clearly shaken.
As a medical ninja, no one understood better than her how vital and irreplaceable life energy was.
Once it was depleted, death was inevitable. And until now, it had been believed that there was no way to recover it once lost.
So when Nagato said his life energy had been restored, even if slightly, how could she not be stunned?
But while Tsunade and Nagato were filled with awe, Gardevoir showed only a faint frown. Sensing that her healing hadn't worked completely, she turned to Ryo with a troubled look. "Ryo, I... I can't fully heal him."
Ryo gently patted her head and shook his head. "It's fine. Don't worry about it. If you can't, then you can't."
Still, he quietly noted to himself: Even Pokémon healing can't fully restore Nagato's condition.
"Thank you anyway," Nagato said sincerely. "Even if it didn't fully work, I do feel better now. That alone helps a lot."
Then he added, "Ryo, we'll take our leave now."
"Wait a moment."
Just as Nagato and Konan were about to turn and leave, Ryo suddenly stopped them. "If your goal really is world peace, maybe the Pokémon can help make that a reality."
Nagato's eyes lit up with a spark of hope. He turned back and nodded. "Got it, Ryo. We'll be back."
With that, he and Konan soared into the sky and vanished into the distance.
Tsunade stepped closer, her gaze locked on Ryo. "Just now... what did they mean by Uchiha Madara?"
Ryo shrugged. "How should I know?"
"You really don't?" she asked suspiciously.
"I said I don't. What do you expect me to be, a god?"
Tsunade studied him for a moment, then gave up on questioning further.
Jiraiya, on the other hand, seemed more curious. "Ryo, you just said something about the Pokémon bringing peace to the world. Were you serious?"
Tsunade also turned to look at Ryo, eyes filled with interest.
Ryo nodded. "Of course. The wars between ninja villages—aren't they all ultimately about land?"
Both Tsunade and Jiraiya nodded. That was the root cause of nearly every conflict.
Territory meant resources, and where resources were lacking, strife followed.
"And land ties directly into food and living conditions," Ryo continued. "But there are many Pokémon that can actually alter the environment itself."
"Take Sunagakure, for example. They started wars because their environment is harsh, water is scarce, and life is difficult. But if you had a sufficient number of Water-type Pokémon, wouldn't that change things? With enough water, the whole environment there could be transformed."
Jiraiya and Tsunade's eyes lit up.
They completely understood what Ryo meant.
No one wanted war. No village ever sought conflict unless forced by necessity.
Wars were expensive, deadly, and draining. If it could be avoided, they would avoid it.
And if what Ryo said was true—if Pokémon could really reshape the environment—then wars could be drastically reduced. Peace might not just be a dream.
Tsunade, still a bit skeptical, asked, "Ryo, are you sure the Pokémon really have that kind of power?"
Ryo shook his head. "Normal Pokémon, maybe not. But what about the legendary ones?"
Tsunade's eyes flashed. "You have a legendary Pokémon?"
They had seen Hoopa in action earlier—it was clearly on a completely different level. If Ryo had others like that, then maybe...
Ryo, however, shook his head again. "Nope."
Tsunade's mouth twitched. "Then why bring it up?"
Even Jiraiya was a little speechless. After all that build-up, he didn't even have one yet.
"But that doesn't mean I won't in the future," Ryo added calmly. "Eventually, I will."
This time, Tsunade and Jiraiya didn't reply.
Who knew how long "eventually" was supposed to mean, after all?
"Anyway, enough about that," Ryo said with a shrug. "Aren't you two heading back?"
Hearing that, both Tsunade and Jiraiya gave each other a look, then sighed and left.
They had responsibilities to deal with—especially after the recent chaos. The noise from the previous battle had certainly rattled Konoha.
There would be mountains of issues waiting.
Once they were gone, Ryo gathered up Cynthia and the remaining Akatsuki members.
They started working together to build a wooden house.
Given the situation, there was no way anyone from the village would be able to help today—Konoha was likely overwhelmed with internal affairs.
But they couldn't just leave things as they were. Ryo had no intention of meditating or training tonight under a collapsing roof.
So for now, they'd build something temporary. Once things calmed down, they could rebuild it properly.
"Deidara, Sasori—go outside and gather wood. There should be plenty lying around—you don't need to chop anything down."
"Itachi, Kisame—grab some tools and reinforce the structure. No need for it to look good—just make sure it doesn't fall apart."
"Cynthia, come with me. We're going to check on the Pokémon in the back—they were probably startled by all the commotion earlier."
That last part was important. Ryo had been too preoccupied before, but now that things had settled, he needed to make sure none of the Pokémon had been seriously frightened.
If they got too spooked and something went wrong, it could be trouble.
The Akatsuki members all nodded and went about their tasks.
Ryo, meanwhile, led Cynthia and a few Pokémon toward the rear of the mountain path.
